STURDY TOOL WITH MORE ADAPTERS!
This tool is available from various makers and comes in many versions. I decided on this one because it included the Toyota 29 mm adapter and a few others. No, it will not break, disintegrate or, otherwise, come apart. It is a heavy duty, sturdy tool that took the inner tie rod off with an easy 1/2 turn. The 1/2" drive fitting is snug, with no play. NO IMPACT WRENCH IS NEEDED, nor its use is recommended by the manufacturer. During the installation, it was as easy to bring the torque up to 60 ft.lbs. I did not experience a problem with the lock mechanism; I do suggest to keep it lubed prior to using as this makes it easy sliding it over the adapters. One could be turn off by the color but, the paint actually makes it easy to wipe off any grease / oil and is has no importance in the functionality of the tool.

This tool works!
This tool is very unique. It worked great for removing and installing my inner tie rods. It was a little awkward to use. Once you get the hang of it, it works well. This tool made it possible for me to complete the job without spending days taking things apart.

This thing is great full time mechanic I use this at least once ...
This thing is great full time mechanic I use this at least once a week, others in my shop bought the 200$ snap on one and this one has more keys in it! The shaft is alittle bigger then the snap on one which I could see maybe not being able to get into real right spots but I didn't care it fits small Hondas all the way to Chevy 1500 and more

Works well, but awkward to set up.
I bought this for the number of adapters. However, setting the tool up with the right adapter can be awkward: If the tie rod's wrench flats are inboard from the ball joint, you first have to balance the adapter on the flats, carefully slip the tool body over the tie rod and ball joint, engage the adapter's locking studs, then twist the locking collar. It's not particularly difficult, but until you get the collar locked, it's easy to knock the adapter out of position, and onto the garage floor. BTW: Some original factory tie rods do not have turning flats, and the tool cannot remove them. You'll need channel locks, a chain wrench, strap wrench, or a pipe wrench to remove those kinds of tie rods.

Very nice tool
Very nice tool. I haven't used it yet (which admittedly renders this review a bit moot) but it feels incredibly sturdy and the mechanism to hold the different sized adaptors in feels quite solid. Love the bright green color too. Enough adaptors to fit just about anything.

Best bang for your buck
Works exactly for the purpose it was made. Seems to be a quality tool. Have seen many others on the market that were made nowhere near as quality as this one.

Great tool
this is the best inner tie rod tool I have used. It’s easy to use and works well if you do inner tie rods pretty often I would pick it up for sure.

Anytime is tool time...
Once again Amazon, you helped me find a tool I love/need, at a price I could afford. Many of my specialty tools in my shop are OEM Tools. I've yet to find a product from them that wasn't professional quality for my shop use. I've only used the tie rod end tool for one job, but it was faultless. Good range of accessory sizes and a very nice, compact carrying case. Zero complaints.

Tool is definately a great worthwhile purchase that takes the mystery out of doing ...
Used it to remove inners from honda insight. Worked perfectly. For the gentlemen that had a problem, my guess is he didnt use it correctly. Tool is definately a great worthwhile purchase that takes the mystery out of doing the work yourself. This was my first time replacing inner tie ends and replacing all the suspension components and it went off perfectly. Yes it has alot of adapters but i noticed i was missing one size and received 2 of another

Know how to use it!!
I’ve been turning wrenches now for almost 6 years. I don’t use this everyday but roughly 4 to 5 times a month. I got this instead of paying more for the set from (insert major tool company name here) and not getting all the adapters needed. This has a really weird uncommon size includes that wasn’t included with a coworkers set from Snapon. Needless to say, this is a very good tool set, works perfectly as described if you know how to use it. I have and will continue to recommend this to those who need to do inner tie rods.
