It just WORKS!

The beauty of this roll is in the construction, design and structure of it. The construction is sturdy, sound and robust, and though the knives are sharp, and will eventually, inevitably bite in, the tough material and sound seams give my confidence that this bag will last me a long time. The design is simple, straightforward, classic, but it’s also minimalist. I liked that it was low on the bells and whistles, because I don’t carry a whole lot. Better to have a full, perfectly designed bag, than an over-the-top, half empty bag. I have my meat thermometer in one of the tasting-spoon slots, and, in addition to my steel, I will be carrying a wet-stone in the cleaver pocket (I don’t have or need a cleaver) and so I’m happy that that is there. The structure is what I learned about from experiencing it. I feared that once I close the flap, nothing will keep the knives from jostling out of place. But two things proved otherwise: 1) the handle packets really hug the handles, so they don’t just slip out; 2) once you roll up the roll, ain’t nothing moving! It’s really well thought out—others design the same concept, but knives still manage to crawl everywhere! Not with this roll. I’m glad to say that I transported my knives, safely, comfortably, and, may I gloat: proudly.

Just what I needed!

My first knife roll. I enjoy cooking on vacation and have frequently been disappointed by the quality of the cutlery and cookware provided by the owners of the condos and houses in which we stay. I got to the point that I would buy better utensils and leave them for the next renter. Finally, I can bring my own cutlery! Our first outing comes soon with a trip to the Finger Lakes in New York. My first impression is the great amount of thought that has gone into the design of the Noble Knife Roll. There is likely more storage capacity than I will need. It accommodates a heavy cleaver, 3.5" paring knife, 6" and 8" chefs knives, an 8"slicing knife, and an 8" bread knife. There are a couple more slots open. My steel will go in too. The quality of the fabric is tough, yet flexible. Having knife guards not only protects the knives, but the roll itself. I expect it to last a long time. The way the roll folds and secures with adjustable straps affords good protection for my cherished cutlery. It does what the maker says at a very reasonable price!

Well designed, efficient knife roll to meet a broad range of needs

I was very pleased when I received this item. Logistics first: I received the knife roll on time as provided by Amazon's information. The Roll was packed properly for shipment. Aesthetics: this roll is very attractive. It opens for easy full access. Utility: I was slightly concerned about the design of storage as the handles of my knives fit in the sleeves, rather than the blades. In actuality I found this to be a better method as typically knife handles are uniform whereas knife blades can vary in width even among the same style of knife (e.g. a chef's knife). I remedied the concern about the exposed blades by additionally purchasing the companion blade protectors. I was also concerned about whether my OXO Slicing knife would fit, as it is long. I slightly angled placement of the knife and it did fit. Three of the slots were covered by an extra flap of material, secured by velcro. I did like this arrangement as it protected the blades while allowing the roll to remain somewhat compact. There is sufficient space to allow the packing of additional components for my knives. Finally the "fold" of the roll is secured by the currently popular buckles, rather than merely velcro. Personally, I prefer this method as it provides the opportunity to actually secure the roll notwithstanding storing a lot of knives.

Pleasantly surprised

Frankly, I ordered this knife bag because it was the least expensive one I saw that looked like it had enough pockets to hold my knives. I'm not a chef, but I do a lot of backyard BBQ, so I have collected a pretty good selection of decent knives to do all the trimming and carving on various cuts of meat and veggies. I had been just storing the knives in their boxes in a kitchen cabinet, but the pile of boxes was getting unwieldy, so I decided to get a knife bag. Since I don't travel with my knives, I just wanted a bag for convenient storage. Much to my surprise - and happiness - this is a very sturdy bad that looks like it is well made and durable. It provides not only storage, but protection for my knives. If I had to ding it, it would be because my cleaver won't fit in the cleaver pocket with the blade guard on. But I have a BIG cleaver for chopping through bones, and with the blade guard on it is even bigger. The cleaver did fit in one of the other pockets, so all is well. Bottom line is that I am very happy with this bag, and even more so given it's very reasonable price.

Awesome bag to store your knifes. I bought this after I took my chefs knife to get sharpened at a local farmers market and stabbed myself in the leg walking around 😀. Now i just need to get mo re knifes to fill it!!!

Totally meets our needs!

We had a hand-me-down knife roll from a friend that had served us well for years, but finally fell apart. So, we desperately needed a new one. This one is lightweight, durable and easy to transport. Because my husband and I own a catering company together and are both chefs, we share the roll, so we have a lot of knives. This one was just a bit short of holding everything. But editing our knives was needed. I am so happy that this is a family-owned company, too!

Many pockets and sturdy design

So for years I have collected kitchen knifes, some of which were quite expensive but over time the kitchen drawer became too crowded. First I purchased blade guards which worked well but when I went on the road, I realized that a knife roll was needed. I wanted a reasonable priced bag, with many pockets and rugged design. This bag meets all of my requirements and even when every pocket is in use, still rolls up nicely, securely buckles shut and has a comfortable carry strap.

For Me As Good As Leather!

Lighter easier to clean and closed has a very secure feel to protect knives and tools. Holding 11 knives, a cleaver, 4 tasting spoons, carving fork, steel, shears, and electronic thermometers. Very satisfied with your product, and would buy again if needed. Thank You BDH

Safely holds my knife set

I was looking for a way to store and carry a set of knives. This does the job. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out the slots and how to get all the knives inserted, but everything fits and seems secure. It's well made with sturdy material, so it should last for a while. As described, four of the pockets are sized for tasting spoons, leaving ten slots for knives of various sizes. All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase.

Exacty what I needed

I've been a cook in many places but finally have a chef job and need to bring my own tools. I work with so many different types of dishes and needed a bag that could hold all my equipment. This holds everything and the zippered pocket is great for keeping my pens and markers. I don't have a cleaver so can't say much about the pocket, I just keep my pastry brush in there. You will definitely need knife guards because the material can easily be pierced.
