Really sweet glasses! The connector is a bit fragile, so be careful not to bend the pins. However if you do, you can probably just bend them back into place. It does have a high pitch hum, but its not noticeable unless you're in a quiet room.

Helps you stand out in a crowd

I bought these glasses for my girlfriend and I for electric Forest in Michigan and they worked great. Super bright and didn't drain our batteries much after several hours of use. Wouldn't buy if you're prone to having a seizure since it flashes.

Perfect for Light Parades/Night Time Parties

Review is for the Aquat Shutter EL Wire Neon Glasses (Green/Blue). Picked these up for two upcoming Holiday Festival of Light Parades. Very bright lime green and blue - looks just like a real neon sign, and runs on two AA batteries. They have 3 settings you can cycle through (on, slow flash, blinky fast flash) Although they are nice a bright from the front, when you wear them, you do not see hardly any of the neon light which was important to me since I will be driving a vehicle. As with all EL wire, there is a tone that resonates when powered, however I don't notice it much where there is other noise in the background.

fun glasses for parties or concerts

these are fun glasses for parties or concerts. with 3 different modes, you can select your fun level. I used them for a concert. I was still able to see thru the glasses. with the light on or in flash mode, it did not affect my view or bother me. I did not keep them on the entire concert, it was so I can view it better. but when I put them back on, especially in darkness, I didn't feel it was distracting to others as people are looking forward towards the stage. the cord is long enough to put in pocket or clip on a piece of clothing. overall, its fun to have and be fun at events.

Awesomely affordable attention getter

Incredible product for the price! They are a lot of fun to wear and super bright. It's not too difficult to see out of them, I can even wear these over my regular prescription glasses and still play an arcade game well enough while looking through the "blinds". They get a lot of attention, that's for sure, and folks are even more wow'd when I tell them how much they were. They're holding up very well so far.

Love these! I wore them to a huge 80's event in LA (like 10,000 people) and I was turning heads left and right! Lots of compliments! I do believe the glasses themselves are solidly built. No worries of breaking. The wire is solid enough, a little thin but will hold up, pretty confident it won't snap if snagged and pulled. I'm a pretty tall guy with a long torso and it was barely long enough to reach any pants pocket with 100% freedom of movement. The battery pack is the only flimsy part. The belt clip on it is useless as it broke as I was trying to clip it to my belt. As long as you take care of the battery pack by keeping it in your pocket then there shouldn't be a problem. About the high pitch whining sound, I can only hear it when my ear is 3 inches from it, so no complaints from me. Like that there is a button on it so you can switch from constant to blinking to fast blinking. BTW I got the red and blue and the red has a noticeable orange tint, the blue is more light blue. So not 100% red and blue like the pic. I love these, don't regret buying them and as long as the battery pack holds I'm sure they will last a long time. Buy them and be the life of the party!
