This is a really nice product. Its almost as firm as candle wax so I just rub the bottom of my dog's paw on it in the container, then rub it around with my fingers to distribute it on her pads. It smells great-I think it's the lavender oil-and the texture is smooth and light. It may not be enough if your dog needs a protective wax, but it's like a little beauty treatment for your pup.

I have an 8 year old female Sheltie whose name is Honey, who started limping about two weeks ago. I checked her4 paws and noticed that there was a flap on her right front pad and was just hanging there. I contacted our Vet and brought her in immediately, The vet told me that this was a common condition in dogs called "Corns in dogs" (keratomas and hyperkeratosis) which are a thickening and hardening of a dog's skin around the paws or nose, resulting in painful calluses and cracking with possibility of severe infection. He said that this condition may worsen to an infection as the keratin continues to build up on the skin. He told me that this happens when a dog walks on a hot driveway or sidewalk, walking on rocks or getting cut by other sharp objects. After checking Honey for any bleeding, infection or other issues with her legs, he said that there is nothing that he could do for her because all she has is excessive keratin which is causing her to limp. He said that I should look on Amazon and find a produce called "Paw Nectar" and to spread the balm on all of her pads and that I should see a difference immediately. I took Honey home and ordered your Paw Nectar. I received the product two days later and applied it to Honey's paws and if I did not see it for myself, the pads got really soft and honey was not limping anymore after only one application. What a product. Everyone should have this in their doggie first aid kit and check the pads often.

Our old (16) dog doesn't do well outside in the cold, and won't wear anything on her feet. This wax helps protect her pads so she can stay out a little longer and attend to important business. Below zero weather is still problematic, but she is definitely better off than before we started using this product. It's somewhat difficult to apply - I usually scrape it out of the tin on my fingernail, then massage it into her pads - but it works.

My boyfriend and I adopted our pit bull Nala in July of 2016. When we adopted her, we noticed that her paws were nearly burnt completely. Her original owners were in Texas, and we believed they never provided any type of protection to her paws while walking on hot gravel, rocks, etc. My baby girl hated walking on anything that was grass or carpet. I originally was using a DIY wax to help Nala, but it didn't seem to be working fast enough. Recently, I bought the nectar and have been very satisfied every since, although the nectar has a strong Eucalyptus smell, it is something I nor Nala mind. I am now able to see color returning in Nala's paws and shes learning to walk comfortably on terrains other than grass and carpet. I am also a satisfied fur mama knowing that the ingredients in the nectar are natural and is nothing that I find questionable. I would definitely repurchase/recommend to other fur mamas/papas !

Smells absolutely amazing. Good consistency and texture. Love that it's completely natural because my dog will lick anything I put on his paws off. Many other lotions or cream say not to put on broken or cracked paws but that's what the stuff is for? And has chemicals that a dog shouldn't lick. I think most animals will be licking it.

I purchased Paw Nectar immediately when I read " pain relief " in the description and I prefer organic/natural products all around. My 8 1/2 yr German Shepherd has developed hip issues and licking her rear paws caused more issues with walking. I massage a liberal amount on her pads per instructions and Xena stopped licking the pads. The pads are shrinking to normal size and hair between the pads is growing again. I took a chance and it was worth it.

My babies Paws were like sandpaper and I've never used anything on it I just assumed animals paws will be roughed up but I've used this now for 2 days applying twice a day and my baby's paws are no longer cracks they no longer feel like sandpaper. They're smooth and it seems to be doing a great job and he is no longer licking his paws.

This product is awesome!! We take our pup Patty to the dog park almost everyday, and her paws get cracked and beaten up by the gravel especially as the cold weather sets in. She's very receptive to the Paw Nectar and it really seems to help her, and the rosemary/lavender smell is strong enough to discourage her from licking it off. I also feel like I could use it on my hands and cuticles. Overall a great purchase, highly recommend!

This stuff is AMAZING! After recently starting doggie daycare my dogs paw pads were wrecked from the AstroTurf they have there. He was so sore from all the running and playing he did so I bought this in hopes to soothe his soreness. I just got it in the mail about 1 hour before I made this review and immediately applied to my pup. He didn't budge from sleeping when I applied it. He licked his paws a few time but wasn't at all bothered by it on him. After about a half hour he got up to go out and to my amazement he was just about back to his self. I could 100% tell the soreness he was feeling was lessened/gone. This was after 1 application. I'm sold! I will never not have this in my house from now on. I'll be applying this before and after daycare in the future. I'm also going to apply to my other pups rough elbow spot so I'll update later on how that works. UPDATE: Two weeks later and still amazed at this stuff. I see others saying it’s hard to get out of the tin. I get a small chuck out, my finger can normally heat it up enough to get some out, then rub it around my fingers before rubbing all over the paws. Putting the paw right on the tin won’t get the product where it needs to be.

Absolutely love this product! My Roxy girl has had rough paws ever since I got her and we always take her on walks so I was looking for a product to help her paws. This is definitely a great product for paws! I recommend chipping off a piece of the wax and taking that piece and rubbing it on their paws. I find it difficult to just take her paw and rub it in the wax. But it has definitely kept her paws moisturized, especially during this cold weather we have been having in Virginia. In the picture you can definitely see the difference.
