Well, I researched before I leaped. When I saw the Brieftons and read the reviews, I agonized over it for a few days. But then I decided, for the price, that I couldn't really go that wrong. My son is a hobby chef, although I think he'd put most professionals to shame, and he loves to cook for guests. I could NOT see myself trying to spiralize with a little handheld gadget. I wanted a device that would do large quantities fast. I wanted to do onions, cabbage, sweet potatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, melons, pears, apples--you name it. I wanted a device that would do that for me. Well, I FOUND IT! This thing works like you won't believe. I've done zucchini noodles, yellow squash noodles, and loved them as substitute noodles under a homemade spaghetti sauce. Yummy, but a carb free dinner! Well, let me rephrase that. A dinner with the only carb being in the sauce, and that is such a minimal amount of carb grams that it barely counts, compared to a pile of actual pasta. And what I learned is that I enjoy zoodles far more than I do actual pasta. They are so much more flavorful! Just be careful with seasoning. THINK NOODLES OR PASTA. They have little flavor. I want the contrast between a flavorful sauce and a blander noodle base. I made the mistake of over seasoning my veggie noodles only once. I really enjoy them if they are seasoned with only pepper, a very light addition of salt, as in VERY light, and some granulated garlic. In my opinion, lightly seasoned, they are better tasting than actual pasta. On this gadget, the suction cup, one large one, works fabulously. It hasn't lost grip on me a single time. The creators also included a little push handle, to put slight pressure on the vegetable as you process it. Works fabulously. I have had no issues with "pushing" a vegetable through, period. Zoodles, aka zucchini noodles, for a huge crowd are a breeze, and also easy to prepare for one or two people because the cleanup is so fast. The Brieftons washes up easily. I use a toothbrush to get the bits out. Tonight carrots left color, but with a brisk and brief scrub with a toothbrush dedicated to this gadget, the stain washed away instantly. I think avoiding stains could be eliminated by washing it off soon after use. Imagine only running water over it with a little dish detergent. I bought two heads of cabbage, one green, one red. I wanted to make a fabulous coleslaw with a non-creamy dressing. I was amazed! Use the flat blade! This thing will make quick work of a head of cabbage or an onion. I only used half of a green head. I found a recipe for a light coleslaw dressing, no mayo or cream, and our guest said that she loved the fact that the cabbage was sliced so thin! I agreed. Packaged cabbage slaw cannot compare. So how much do those bags of prepared coleslaw cost? I never really looked. But I now know that freshly done cabbage tastes so much better, and I also know that I'm saving money, which means that this kitchen gadget will pay for itself in no time at all. My coleslaw was beyond good. Can you imagine? Buy a head of cabbage. Wash it off. Pick away any discolored parts. Slap it in, using a flat blade, and before you know it, as in seconds, you have grated cabbage, cut thin for enhanced flavor. Do two carrots, and toss in some diced dried cherries, and make a fabulous no-cream dressing, and you have a culinary delight. I'm so sold on this product! No, I didn't get it free. I am not writing a review because I will be rewarded. The reward, for me, is the product itself, and the savings I will see. Want to make coleslaw? Well, shred your cabbage quickly by yourself. Don't buy that stale stuff, already shredded. The taste difference, to me, is amazing. And the savings is also amazing. Don't buy premade Zoodles, all nicely packaged. Buy a couple of zucchini and make your own so fast that you'll wonder, "What was I thinking?" I would recommend this to a friend. I WILL recommend this to a friend.

Bought this as a Birthday gift to myself. I've tried the spiral veggies at the grocery store and loved them. Veggies can get too mushy when you cook them, the spiral design maintains the firm texture of the veggies when you cook them or eat them raw. Outrageously expensive to buy pre- spiraled at the store. After reading tons of reviews - decided on the Brieftons 5- Blade spiralizer. Tried this the minute it arrived - 5 stars plus. Easier and faster to use than a knife. Instructions were simple, effortless to use, easy clean up and best of all - makes veggies fun and delicious. Presentation - outstanding. I love it and will use it everyday - feeding four kids and a husband - this makes the perfect addition to a busy kitchen.

I've debated for a while about purchasing one of these units... I just bought this one, and I love it! Here's why: 1. It's great value for the price 2. I used it for the first time, and it took about 5 minutes to prep (out of the box; I washed it before first use) 3. I liked the fact that it had storage for the blades... I don't want very sharp, unprotected blades in my drawers. Tip: I'm going to use the holder to wash the blades.... soapy water, blades in, dunk a few times, rinse.... safe way to wash the blades without getting cut. 4. It comes apart, reducing space to store (see photos) 5. There is little waste (see photos... that was from a 3 inch chunk of sweet potato) 6. It has a "stop" so that you don't damage the plastic spikes when you are close to the end of your veggie 7. It sticks to the counter really well 8. It rotates and cuts with almost no effort 9. Clean up is easy. I am pleasantly surprised, and looking forward to using it. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this unit. It also has a handle that you can use to apply "forward pressure" on the shaft, but it worked so easily for me that I didn't have to apply much pressure. I also did not cut the sweet potato evenly, and it worked fine... I expected it to be falling all over the place. It didn't. Please note: I slit the potato on one side in order to have half rings. After I cut it, I microwaved it, and it was cooked in no time, owing to the thin slices. Nice device! and, this was using probably the hardest veggie I'll ever slice..... Enjoy! Highly recommend. Questions? Leave a comment, and I'll get back to you. One note: In order to get the "extras"... you'll have to sign up to their emails, and give them your email address. FYI.

This is the best kitchen Gadget of all time.. I just made sweet potato spirals...makes anyone a cooking super hero 😊

Received right on time and in perfect condition!! After washing off , used the same day we received it! Made beautiful zoodles!!! (Zucchini noodles) Has the five blades (2 mm= thin noodles,3mm= thicker noodles- I used these for the "Zoodles" , 5mm and 5.5 mm which I haven't used yet but will make wider noodles using even sweet potatoes, beets, etc., and a flat blade to slice onions , cabbage, make potato chips, etc.). Has the two draws for blade storage and a storage caddy for the the extra blades and you can put one where you will be using it to make the noodles. Easy to clean and stores neatly back in its box! I am so happy that this spiralizer is exactly what I wanted! Oh and the suction keeps it from moving on your counter while you're using it!! Thank you Briefton for making a great product! Plus they email you your three e-books !!

At the beginning it was a challenge to learn a new style of preparing salads and some side dishes. There is a learning curve and I spent some time reading reviews for different models and watching YouTube video. After I unpacked this beautifully designed "toy" for the kitchen, I tried to use it without any success. My first mistake was - I tried to attach the spiralizer to the kitchen table. When later I tried to attach it to the formica countertop at my house and then to the granite countertop at my daughter's house it was easily done in a second. My second mistake was to use wrong blades for the vegetables. I wrote to the customer service several times and each time received prompt answer. The best educational answer was the following: THE GENERAL RULES OF THUMB ARE: - softer vegetables can use any blade; - for harder vegetables we recommend the use of a bigger blade (5mm or 5.5 mm blade). This is because a smaller blade will have more blade teeth which may cause more resistance when used with a harder vegetable; - vegetables with layers or hollow inside (onions, cabbages, bell peppers) should use the FLAT blade. My favorite blades are FLAT (for cucumber, red radish, onion, cabbage) and 3 mm (for red radish, the steam of the broccoli, and zucchini). Now I can make a large salad in less then 15 minutes. The slices of a radish and cucumber (FLAT blade) are paper thin and looks beautiful. The leftover part I put on separate small plate; it looks like a small mushrooms and we eat it as is. The best part is that now I do not need to cry when I cut onions (my husband and I like very simple dish - onion and white mushrooms over potato). After slicing an onion with a FLAT blade, I take my scissors and quickly cut the thin beautiful spirals in a smaller pieces. In less than two minutes the "onion" work is completed and I had fun as well. Now I am smiling, not crying and it definitely helps our marriage life : ). I want to address the problem with labeling the blades. I used the Brother P-Touch Label Maker and made beautiful labels for each blade. I attached them on the top part of the blade, so I can easily see them either installed on the spiralizer, in the storage compartment, or in the caddy. My advise if you do not have P-Touch and decide to buy, then buy PT-D210 model. The label has backing that very easy to remove; I bought first another model and returned it - it was impossible to remove the backing from the label. I hope that the future model will have the bright labels. Also, I attached a label to the front of the caddy, because the blade can go in only one way. You can use the blue tape that covers the blade and the caddy still will looks nice. I like that the Spiralizer comes with blades that can be easily removed and put back. This allows me to clean everything is seconds. From my experience so far I can confirm that this particular Spiralizer does exactly as it was pictured, works great, very easy to clean, very easy to put apart and then put back together. Each part and the Spiralizer as a whole was design with love and compassion. Now I even travel with this kitchen toy if I know that I will have a place to prepare a salad. It makes my life easier and saves my valuable time.

My life just got a whole lot easier! My husband and I have been married for almost 6 years, early into our marriage we were diagnosed with "unexplained" infertility. After almost 2 years and for unrelated reasons we had decided to eat a vegan diet of only whole natural and organic as possible foods. Basically eliminating all sugar, most gluten, and processed foods and no meat until we were ready to introduce some lean meats gradually and sparingly. After 2 months of eating this way we were very surprised to learn we were pregnant. We strayed from our healthy eating habits after a while but when we went back to them, we got pregnant again. Now with two toddlers and busy schedules one of my biggest challenges with food was finding ways to prepare delicious healthy meals that everyone in the family could enjoy. I had recently seen a commercial on t.v. for an expensive electric spiralizer so I went online to research some more affordable options when I came across the Briefton 5-Blade Spiralizer. I have to say I'm so glad I went with this instead! For a fraction of the price this is surprising durable and sturdy. It has very nice safety features, enough so that I can let my little ones help with part of our meal prep. Clean up is so easy and it is very compact which is huge for us! And finally I can make so many healthy and flavorful meals very quickly! I also really appreciated the bonus 3 online recipe book that came with my purchase now I have a ton of new and fresh ideas so I don't end up making the same few meals over and over. I am so grateful for this Spiralizer, it has taken the stress out of meal planning and preparation! * wanted to add as a side note my blades were labeled with the MM size not a,b,c,d as some reviews said, that made it extremely easy to use the correct blade for each specific job!

I just got the newest Brieftons Spiralizer, and it has features my old one didn't have that really help. My old one had four separate suction cups to attach the Spiralizer to my countertop, but I have a tiled countertop and trying to line up all four (where none would sit on a groove between tiles) took some time. You also had to press down on each corner to get each suction cup to adhere. The new Spiralizer has just one larger suction cup and all you have to do is turn an easy lever to attach that suction cup, and the Spiralizer doesn't budge. This is an awesome improvement! Another plus is the handle you use to push the vegetable forward. It is much more sturdy and secure than the one on my old spiralizer. This new Spiralizer also has some easy-clean features, with blades that are simple to replace, and the option of removing the entire blade "tower" so you can immerse it in water for a thorough cleaning. As far as the actual spiralizing goes, it does an awesome job of slicing and creating pasta-like "noodles" out of carrots, onions, zucchini, and even yams (which are typically harder to slice). I like the wide slicer that makes "chips" that you can roast or even bake, so you can easily make your own potato or other vegetable chips for a healthy snack. Probably the best part is their guarantee. Brieftons really stands by their products and will replace them free of charge if anything breaks.

We grow HUGE zucchini and have been looking for a decent spiralizer that could handle the larger veggies. I had tried a small, handheld spiralizer, but it could only handle the smaller zucchini. I bought this one because it looked like it was mid-range price-wise, and I liked that it had a suction cup on the bottom to help stabilize it while using it. My skeptical husband tried it as soon as it came... and we were HOOKED! This appliance is AWESOME. It comes with 5 blades - 1 that sits where you use it, 2 store under the appliance and 2 others store in a separate container. My husband tried it to make zoodles out of one of our VERY large zucchini, and it processed it in seconds. Plus, it comes apart easily for cleaning. I had thought I was going to have to purchase an expensive addition to my mixer in order to make zoodles out of the larger veggies, but this appliance made it easy!

This spiralizer is a sheer joy to use! The large suction cup on the bottom holds amazingly well on a smooth countertop! The positive latch system on the blades feel a lot safer than the old way. The blade holding cup is just another bonus! Brieftons has hit a home run with this improved model!
