perfect fit
The hasp and lock were exactly what I needed for the chest I am building. I would not hesitate to buy materials from this company again.

Top Quality
This is a top quality hasp lock, being made with tough stainless steel; not flimsy mild steel like others on the market.

perfect
I had to buy this because the other lock I bought didn't work out for my attic door. This one did! very sturdy. I recommend using a heavy duty lock to have this securely locked. I would buy again 100%.

Very effective and ideal for the coastal environment
This replaced a galvanized hasp (that I have had to replace often in this salt environment). The product is well made and what is really nice is that the ring for the lock is larger than the galvanized ones. That means I can slip a lock on it easily.

Works as expected
Easy to install, good size, works well

Great!
Worked perfect for what I needed. Good quality clasps. The only negative was that each set I ordered shipped with different size screws. No big deal, but kind of weird.

No complaints
Nice sturdy and secure, works perfectly where I have it set up

Odd Design But Works Fine
What makes these reviews somewhat meaningless is that there are two different products here. One is a flat swing over hasp, meant to fit for example two doors that are side to side, the other product sold here on this same page is a fixed 90 degree bend swing over hasp meant for doors that are 90 degrees to the door molding like a home entrance door. I purchased the 90 degree hasp. Unlike a typical double hinged hasp, this hasp's bend is fixed at 90 degrees, so when its in position with your door closed, you can't open the hasp to release the lock or actually place the lock, because it's stuck in the 90 degree bend between your door and frame. What I found out, in order to place the lock on the hasp once its in position or remove it for that matter, is merely to open the door. Opening the door, before you place the hasp in place, then once the door is open and you put the hasp in place, you then close the door-allowing the metal loop to come thru the hasp, and allowing you to place the lock locking your door. To reverse, you remove your lock, once removed you merely open your door, which allows you to enter. The third picture down, on the product page here intends to show this process; the 1st image in the third picture shows the door and hasps position before placing the lock, the image below that, shows the image just before the lock is place. For what it is, it works, its just no what one would expect an takes knowledge of how it works. The high advantage this hasps has over others is it's large metal loop allowing it to accommodate large locks. Note: I previously gave this hasp a 1 star, because of its odd design, but later learned that's how these locks work. The problem was me, not the hasp.

but the overall quality of this item was a nice surprise.
Superb quality. 304 stainless steel is not supposed to rust, we purchased these items to place on lockers in the open garage of a condominium building 300 yards from the salty Gulf of Mexico. Time will tell, but the overall quality of this item was a nice surprise.

Nice quality, fit well for Tuff Shed made by Home Depot
Fits perfectly for shed and nice quality. Great’s that it had screws included (with extra screws) which is great as I always drop a few during installation.
