Handy Little Gadget

I like this little voice player. It is part of my psy-ops (psychological operations) program to deter deer from damaging my garden. I like that I can change the recordings. I mounted it inside a plastic container to protect it from rain and on a stake in the ground so I can move it around. The deer have not come back. I will be getting another one.

Worked awesome!

This thing worked great as an addition to one of my halloween props. Recorded scary voices to be activated as trick or treaters walked by and it worked perfectly

Perfect Size & Design and it goes VERY loud :)-- (Halloween time!)

I use this for people coming into my office when I am out in the shop. I have a door ringer in the shop that let's me know when someone comes in the office but of course, there is no way for them to know that so: They use to just see no one in the office and then walk into the shop where it is not so safe for them. With this handy little device: They know I know they are there and they patiently wait. This will also be AWESOME at Halloween when I take it home and use it for the front porch!! *GRIN*

expensive GARBAGE.

The micro SD and USB ports or useless but the instructions tell you they don't work. It doesn't record 2 minutes. I doesn't record 30 seconds. It records whatever blurp of time it wants to and then activates randomly. My first attempt it got about 30 seconds but it was too loud so I attempted to record again and it captured about 4 seconds. I tried a few more times and it refused to do better. That's just the recording issue. A few minuted into testing this thing out the motion sensor seemed irrelevant, it just keep going off. The device faced up toward the ceiling, nothing moving to set it up. It would not stop and the B button is just as glitchy. As it started going off my itself with no motion the red activation light was stuck on and didn't turn off until I took the batteries out. I'm very sad this didn't work. 1 positive is that it is loud even on the lower volume setting. loud useless garbage.

Nice memory aid for elderly living alone

I put this device in my mother's house as a memory aid. She lives independently but suffers from short term memory loss and needs gentle reminders. This device is small, lightweight and super easy to install (I used the Velcro attachments). You will need to place it in a spot where it willl not get triggered incessantly. Great product for the price.

Make Cardboard "Standees" Come to Life...

This item works superbly and is easy to set up... Anyone with life size cardboard "standups" can add motion activated voice to their standee using this recorder/player and their favorite lines from their favorite movie... The "talking" Princess Leia is no longer available because Disney pulled the rights to use the voice feature on the standee... This item allows you to add voice to ANY standee with the lines the YOU want them to say... The item works so well that I have ordered 3 more... The first device is installed behind the door with the sensor "looking" thru the crack of the door and the door jamb (1" vertical gap where hinges are attached)... Anyone walking by will "activate" the device, and Harley Quinn will speak... The additional devices will add "life" to 3 additional standees... Great for Alzheimer's patient

I had a problem with my husband who has Alzheimer's peeing all over the bathroom floor. He'd try but completely miss the toilet all the time. It was getting to the point where I was cleaning the bathroom numerous times a day. Disposable pads on the floor didn't work because it was going on the walls as well and I didn't want to start lining my floor and walls with pads. It would get ridiculously expensive and disgusting. I first tired this to put beside the toilet to tell him to "sit down when you pee". Fortunately, he listens when I tell him to do something and can follow instructions. It won't work for a patient who doesn't. That worked fine except even on low it's quite loud and woke me up during the night. And it caused other problems as he thought he had to do more than just pee. So I ended up with a "Potty Protector" and still used this device as well. I put it next to the toilet and whispered into it to "leave that on when you pee" because sometimes he'd take the protector off. I whispered because even that is pretty loud lwhen played back on low. Then I held down the record button for the full 2 minutes of recording time after recording the message and just let it record silence. That way he had ample time to finish up what he was doing and leave the bathroom before it went off again. It has a very good sensor. Which ended up being a problem because just walking in from of the bathroom door in the bedroom set it off. And it wasn't facing straight out. It was sideways to the door. So I took a piece of cardstock, cut it to fit, and made a little shield around the side so it wouldn't pick up motion until you were near the toilet. So far it's working fine. I hope my experience gives someone with the same problem ideas on how to deal with their own.

Many uses for a device like this.

Quite useful. My mother is forgetful and doesn't always remember to call for help. We use this as a reminder at night. It "sees" her trying to get out of bed and the message reminds her to push the call button and wait for help. It's just one of the three alarm-type systems we have - the others are a magnet pull string if she gets too far near the end (exit) of the bed) and the other is just a wireless doorbell hanging from the ceiling by a chain, and over her head. Together, we've prevent any more falls, unlike the nursing home that couldn't keep her from falling over a dozen times. But no alarm is adequate if the response time is many minutes. Thankfully, one of us can get to her within a minute or two. My only complaint is I can't turn it on without activating the message once - but I suppose that does tell you it's working.

Sooo cooool!

I bought it because my daughter is having a Harry Potter birthday party and wanted Moaning Myrtle to cry in the bathroom like she does at Harry Potter land. It worked awesome. It's very loud, and it caught everything MM said from the video recording on YouTube.

SCARE AWAY UNWANTED CREATURES!!!

I purchased this product to scare squirrels away from a covered outdoor area. We enjoy relaxing in our outdoor room with a fireplace and TV. We have squirrels that eat and relieve themselves in and around the fireplace area, leaving sunflower seeds everywhere, and stinky messes. I purchased this item and recorded loud abrupt sounds on it. I placed it on our fireplace mantle and voila, haven't seen anymore messes! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is having any creature issues, as long as it's a covered area.
