Great "non-drip" bottle design! Best price I've found yet. ALWAYS delivered within a few days of ordering (even with standard shipping). Coupon for 15% off next purchase was included in both orders I received (even though I forgot to redeem them). Would recommend highly to anyone with a biofuel fireplace. One bottle fills my reservoir and burns for approximately 4 hours...no odor, no smoke....great ambiance & takes the chill off! LOVE IT!

I selected this brand because I read that it doesn't have a smell. I can smell it for the first 5 minutes or so but after that it truly is odorless. I also purchased the Birch Ethanol Fireplace Log Conversion Kit to use in my decorative fireplace and it takes 1.5 bottles to fill it up. The flames last almost 3 hours!

I have had every type of fireplace, and they are all costly, unless you chop your own wood, the money saved is in your lost time. This is essentially an alcohol used as a cleaning product, only more filtered. If you have ever used alcohol, nothing should be a suprise, but many of these reviews read as if nobody has ever cleaned a wound or stripped a floor with it. Yes, there is going to be an alcohol smell, because that's what it is. It is comparable to the same smell of cooking on a gas stove. I light a nice candle in the corner before starting the fire in the house and no distinctive odor. It gives off no more heat than a gas burner on a stove, but gives a cozy feel. Some people say it is pricey, but for the flame size, and overall burn time, it is exactly the same price of propane. As I said, this is really an abrasive cleaner, so be sure not to spill it on any finished wood. The burn time for me is about 3 hrs a bottle for a deacent size flame. Just like propane, it starts off blue, and within minutes a bright natural orange glow. This is the best product out there with minimal work at all. I can't stress enough, it is alcohol, so if you extinguish the flame early, what is left will evaporate quite quickly.

Moda Flame fuel is a wonderful, nearly odorless ( very minor alcohol smell at first that quickly resolves ) source of flame. Although we have a 100+ year old house, it does not have a fireplace, something we have always regretted. This has given us the ability to create a small but very beautiful and functional fireplace on our coffee table. Although it was purchased solely for aesthetics, surprisingly, it puts off quite a bit of heat. The flame site directly under our ceiling fan and when it it reversed, the temperature in our family room raises 3-4 degrees. I am very pleased with both the fuel and the fireplace that burns it.

I have tried other ethanol brands, and this one definitely smells the least out of all of them, but with one caveat - the burn time is shorter by about 20% by my estimation. Wort it for me as the smell of the others actually burns my throat, and this one I could barely smell.

This ethanol fuel was a great fit for us. We had our chimney inspected during cleaning last year, and were told not to burn wood/duraflame logs at the risk of a chimney fire due to deterioration. Repair of the chimney was prohibitively expensive, and the other option was ~$5k to line the flu and install a gas insert. We decided to buy an ethanol burner instead, and are super happy with the results. The burner itself is a couple hundred bucks, and each quart of fuel burns approximately 3 hrs. No expensive chimney repair or flu liner necessary - in fact because there is nothing emitted from this fuel, we don't even open the flu, which also prevents cold air from the outside getting in. Be aware that shipping takes a little longer as I believe this fuel can be transported by ground only. Great alternative to expensive repairs or gas conversions.

This ventless Bio Ethanol fuel works great in my screened in porch. I have a firepit square table which was mad for wood burning. I bought a burner to go in where the wood would go placed glass around the burner and it last for 3-4 hours and will burn clean and heats around 400 sq ft area. It is great and I would recommend this fuel. Arrived as promised.

We have been using ventless fireplaces (one in living area and one in bedroom) for a few years now. Love them. However, sometimes you don't want a three and half hour fire that you would get using a can of gel. And, yes, you can put the lid back on, but the gel still evaporates faster if you don't use it soon. The moda flame bottles let you pour out how much you want and not waste. My only problem with Moda Flame is the seal on the top. However this latest set I ordered came with a little 'lift up' that make removing the seal much easier. The burn is pratically 'smell-less' and it throws out a lot of heat. Definitely a good buy if you are looking for an alternate fuel source. Especially if you are going to want different amounts to burn at different times.

Explanation,: A "penny stove" describes a a range of very lightweight stoves which burn alcohol to boil water. Generally used by backpackers to re-hydrate meals. They are typically made from aluminum soda cans. I bought this for use in "penny-stoves", or their more sophisticated brethren. It works very well and I don't have to concern myself with toxicity concerns which use either a ethanol-methanol blend (Kleen-Strip Denatured Alcohol) , or pure methanol (HEET in the yellow bottle,) It burns cleanly. It also burns with a clearly visible flame, unlike HEET or standard denatured alcohol which burn with a blue flame,

I've been wanting to install a fireplace in my house for a couple of years now. Wood burning was not an option because it is difficult to install in an existing house and because I heard that the firewood could attract termites, I find electric fireplaces look fake and the gas ones required complicated venting that would be too expensive and messy to install. I kinda gave up on my dream of having a fireplace until I inadvertently discovered an ethanol fireplace! It requires no venting, was extremely affordable, super easy to install and has a real fire! I was so excited! I looked for ethanol fuel that would not cause offensive odors, and the Moda Flame Ethanol was perfect! It burns nicely and has no odor whatsoever! I will certainly be buying the Moda Ethanol again once I run out! Great product!
