1999 Honda Civic Sedan Great Fit.
Installed on a 1999 Honda Civic Sedan and works great. My plastic hood release had broken and had to use vice grips to pull the release. To install I had to remove the plastic kick panel and use some wire cutters to cut off some of the plastic that was leftover from the broken OEM hood release. I recall I slid on the Billet Aluminum Hood Release and tightened down the allen set screw. I didn’t go too tight as I did not want to strip the aluminum since the cable appears to be galvanized metal. It is small enough to slip through the kick panel when putting everything back together. Part has been working for almost 6 months.

Just do it, you will be happy.
Much nicer feel that the plastic one and easy to put on. Cut what was left of my old handle off, I used a dab of thread locker on the hex screw, that was not included, and good as new. Fits great, worth every penny, I would buy again but can see this ever see this failing, but if I get second Honda....

Worked fine in my 2000 Honda CR-V
Worked fine in my 2000 Honda CR-V, just had to cut a piece of the plastic off with a pipe cutter and it fit with a little slack to be tightened with the allen head fastener and wrench that came with it. Also, for those that need a visual, check Eric O's video on his South Main Auto channel on youtube where he installed one on his Honda Civic.

Great product
Had to break off the rest of my broken latch with a pair of pliers and then this went on super easy. Looks and works great!

Works better then buying the whole cable
I love how easy it is to install and the best part it saves you a lot of money from buying the whole hood latch cable

I like it
Installing this handle is much easier than replacing the whole cable, and this handle won’t break since it’s not cheap plastic like the OEM one was.

Great alternative to buying the entire cable assembly
Great alternative to buying the entire cable assembly! Took me a little over 15 minutes to install this. On a 98 Civic, remove the kick panel (Simply held on with 2 clips). Use a 10MM socket to remove the bracket. You have to remove a portion of the plastic shaft leftover from the old handle that was broken off. I chose to use a small copper pipe cutter to do this. You can use whatever is handy. Slide off the old portion, and slide the new on. Tighten the set screw and put it all back together. Simple! A note of caution, some people say that they stripped the set screw. Be careful of that! I have a habit of over tightening things and stripping them. I just snugged it down. In case it loosens up, I just tossed the little allen wrench (came with handle) in the console storage area. If it loosens up, I'll just tighten it back up.
