Updated 5/2/18 Anker Direct Team has sent me replacement cables and made it right. I did a baseline test to see the speed of recharge and found that the speed for most USB ports including the MacBook pro via usb to usb converters was 1% per minute on my iPhone 7+. This is a good expectation for a charging rate. OLD: The cables are of exelent quality and the cable pouch will be especially helpful to keep my son from messing with my wifes cables. UPDATE: I gave one to my wife and she complained that it did not charge her iPad or iPhone from one of her computers. She gave the cable back to me. More and more I am noticing that theres USB ports that other iPhone cables work with to charge my iPhone and iPad but not these cables. I also noticed that the USB ports that will charge my iPhone and iPad charge very slowly. These cables do seem to still be durable.

Ode to Anker

Oh Anker how I love thee let me count the ways. I don't know how or when I stumbled across Anker products but I'm a die hard fan now. Tell me Anker made it and I'll buy it. Someone heard me say that sent me an ad for the Anker powerwasher and I have that sitting in my living room awaiting assembly. I've bought these cables for years now. I buy them for everyone as stocking stuffers and just because there is no reason to use a half booty cable when Anker is here to save you from yourself.

Works great. Sturdy. iPhone 6s

I have purchased many other lightning cables from Amazon, often they split like the original iPhone cables or they stop staying plugged into my device and need to be placed just right in my phone for them to work. Same thing happens with my partners phone which is an iPhone 6. These Anker cables stay plugged in. They are made with great quality and have awesome protection from splitting or peeling like the original iPhone cables. I have had issues in the past where I am updating my phone while plugged into my computer and the slightest movement causes them to disconnect. With the Anker Cables, this DOES NOT happen. Honestly I will probably be buying more of these cables in the future and will definitely be recommending them to others. They give a quick and proper charge to my phone from what I can tell. I have had them for over a month and have used them in the car and at home. I also love the little case they came in and use it to hold my headphones and one charging cable. I gave the other one to my partner.

I love the quality feel of the PowerLine+ series cables.

It seems Lightning cables all eventually break after a couple of months of use in my house. We have three kids that test the limits of any charging cable, so when you find a good one, it pays to stick with it. I've been using various Anker cables for the past couple of years and I have had only 2 cables fail and Anker replaced them for me without any hassle! . The Anker PowerLine+ cables are built better than the cables Apple provided with the device. I have a USB meter that helped me prove that as well. I can only get about 2 Amps when charging my iPad when using an OEM Apple cable. I can get almost 2.4 Amps when using one of these Anker cables. Basically the Anker cables can deliver around 12 Watts and the Apple Cable can only deliver 10 Watts. This would allow your device to charger quicker since more juice is being delivered through the cable. What I like: 1. The cables are well built and durable. 2. They can charge devices quicker since they are capable of delivering more current than the stock cable or other inferior cables. 3. The PoweLine+ series of cables have a nice quality feel to them over everything else I've tried. They are very flexible. 4. Anker has an 18 month hassle free warranty on these cables, so if one breaks they will replace it for you and it is an easy process! What could use improvement: 1: I'm mixed on the included cable pouch. It is ice, but I think I prefer just the Velcro cable strap by itself. Just a personal preference though. Remember, Your charging will only be quick if all of the components being used are quality components, so your weakest link will determine your charging speeds. If you use a cable that is capable of delivering 1 A, then a 2 Amp charger will only deliver 1 Amp and vise versa. Don't skimp on your cables. I've tested many cables that will only deliver 1/2 Amp so your device will charge very slowly, and I promptly dispose these under-performing cables. The Anker cables will help you get optimal charging if used with a quality charger.

Anker customer service is amazing! I got an email from anker apologizing for the defective cable and offered a replacement. That alone deserves 5 stars but aside from that they mentioned the cables have an 18 month warranty. Say what?! That is awesome and that tells you they stand behind the quality of their charging cables. Since I had less than 18 mo this with my previous cable they only needed proof of purchase and the serial number/picture of the cable and they replaced that one too! Wow! Just wonderful support I really feel like a valued customer. I recommend anker to anyone reading this and every family and friend I know! If your thinking about buying these cables I really hope this review convinces you. You are getting a good quality charger cable it last a long time and charges fast!

Great Quality

I'm really impressed with the recent products I've bought with the Anker brand. First, the outer package is strong and attractive. Very easy to open and I especially like the "taps" ( my name for them) that makes in box easy to open. No need for cutting the box. Inside the box, the product is presented and wrapped again. The cables are even in a felt case. Much more than I expected. I've just received the products and they work perfectly. My visual inspection tells me the products will last a long time. I keep the boxes and dated them so I'll know how long they last. And the prices are very reasonable. Very happy I made these purchases.

Great cable

These cables with the Anker chargers are amazing I didn't think there would be any different in the speed it charged but I was totally wrong. One issue that is good but kinda annoying is the cable is real stiff and don't have a natural drop it's like a real tight rope sort of way to put it. Again this isn't a bad thing cause they cable seems very strong just the firmness of it makes it a lil annoying. That's the only flaw I can see in it. But I'm sure over time and use it'll get a lil looser and not be so stiff

Came apart after 6 weeks.

UPDATE : Anker reached out to me and offered a replacement. It arrived quickly and works excellent. I believe that it was an outlier that broke. I have many Anker PowerLine+ cables. They are my preferred cable. Aside from this one, they have all lasted a while without any issue. Sadly, one of the two that are in this package came apart after 6 weeks. Now we shall see how good the warranty is. It says 18 months. But I am not sure how to return 1 of the 2 cables.

Strong, high quality, great service, worth the price.

Anker cables are always very high quality, and well worth the price. The cables are quite stiff, which might be a problem for you if you insist on wrapping them tightly for traveling, but the tradeoff of durability and reliability makes this an easy choice for me. My other Anker cables are still going strong after over a year of rough treatment. My cheap cables have been replaced twice in that time. The next one that fails is getting replaced by an Anker for sure. I learned my lesson. I will also note that Anker’s customer service is second to none. I did get a defective cable from them a year or so ago (yes, it happens) and they replaced it immediately. I consider cables to be consumable items, but I might change my opinion if these last as long as I think they will.

Cat Proof!

I love these cables! No more buying cables or soldering cables back together. My cat chews through all cables big and small, which has caused me to be more observant when buying cables. The Double-braided nylon exterior protects more than just my cable, it protects my wallet! Do not buy a standard USB cable, buy this one. I can confirm they are compatible with IPhone 6/7. Update June 2018 - After a year of having these cables they are still working perfectly. In fact I just ordered a couple more.
