We brought the matte black kettle with us to Baja. We have ordered a second kettle in copper for our home in Juneau, Alaska. Love the design and function. It will be my go-to wedding gift from now on!

Update: after intensive daily use the kettle looks just like new coating handle all very good and the other reviewers simply abused it with inappropriate fire and burned the handle with careless handling, just ignore it it’s a great product and also the thermometer works prefectly and accurately after hundreds of uses Excellent pour over kettle. Its important for me to note that only the outside has the black coating which is excellent high quality and looks great. Im using it over gas flame no issues at all so you you like the black version go for it!

Love this kettle! my 1st and probably last goose neck kettle, unless i upgrade to another cooler looking cooler from Fellow. Extremely easy to control and just the right size for size 1 v60 up to a 6cup Chemex. I do not have any melting handles as i use the smallest burner of the stove, where the flames doesn't go above the sides of the kettle. Takes about 8 minutes to bring the temp up to 200º with a full kettle water about 70º Having a sexy design isn't that bad too!

Works as advertized with the revised metal lid. Temp probe is very nice and pour control is spot on. Comparing between the Hario and a local roasters wooden handle pour over kettle, I have found this one to be tastefully designed without sacrificed performance.

I bought this kettle over a year ago, and typically use it on the weekends. The kettle is beautiful, we get so many compliments on the look of it. We use a gas range to heat the kettle & also have the black plastic handle, and it is still in mint condition. I'm not sure what other people are doing, but we keep the flame under the kettle, not licking up the sides. Seems like the logical thing to do! We have been so happy with this kettle that we are gifting it to friends and family now for christmases, housewarmings, etc. Thanks Fellow for a great product!

Beautiful! I wanted something I could leave out on my stove for daily use that was pretty to look at- this is not only pretty, but also functional. I use it daily to make pour over coffee and love it!

This is the perfect addition to our coffee bar. It is impeccably styled and works like a charm!

This review is for the copper finished version. Originally I had purchased a coffee gator kettle which was of cheaper construction, rattled around on the induction cooker, and then ended up with a shattered handle after 1 use. This product is of a much higher quality. Finish appears to be flawless. I appreciate that the inside is mostly seamless (unlike many of the others) with only a slight seam where the spout connects. The handle is welded on so no worries about it coming loose. Plastic portion of the handle seems to be a "rubberized" plastic which should prevent it from shattering if I happen to drop it. I like the fact that the thermometer is removable (and replaceable if need be). I'm using this on an induction cooker. Unlike my previous kettle, this one makes no rattling or buzzing noises. Higher priced than most, but the build quality reflects the premium.

This the prefect kettle for poor over coffee or even tea. It looks great, and the addition of the thermometer in the lid makes easy to make a perfect cup of coffee or tea. The spout is even a perfect diameter and length for a well controlled pout. It is balanced very well, making it easy to control no matter how full it is. The handle stays cool, but you just have to make sure an errant finger or thumb does not slide on to the small bit of metal at the top of the handle where the handle coating stops.

I've had to use a hot mitt for all of my other tea-pots. Switching to Pour Over Coffee has been a learning experience, and I questioned why a "specific" tea-pot was needed..and.. NOW I get it. .perfect pour over cups of coffee every time now! I feel like I am AT Blue Bottle in SF, or Philz! Perfection!
