Great quality, but a bit small and slippery

This is a great car seat protector. It is made with quality material and seems to provide good protection. However, I found the seat part a bit narrow for Gracco Atlas 65. It covers the car seat, but it is a very close match and I had to adjust it a few times to ensure full coverage. Another issue is that it is a bit slippery on leather seats. One side of it has small rubber dots to provide better grip, but they don't seem to be effective on my car leather seats. UPDATE: Lusso Gear reached out to me and they were kind enough to send another seat protector to ensure the first one was not defective. This is great customer service. They also provided some instructions on how to secure the carseat better. It helped in reducing the movement. I also tried the seat protector in my other car with Britax G1.1 Frontier Clicktight and it worked much better in my second car which also has leather seats. So, I think if your carseat is secured tightly, this protector does its job. So, I am upgrading my rating to a 5 star.

An excellent car seat protector that has even better customer service (UPDATED)!

Pros: -- Slits for seatbelt buckles -- Very large platform to accommodate wide car seats -- Easily cleaned with a towel; resists day-to-day dirt well -- Stays put once placed -- Slots for trinkets/ items that hang over the bench -- Thick enough that with a lot of pressure to secure the seat, the seat is still protected well from gouging. Cons: -- Stitching where my child's feet touch began tearing after only 8 months. All in all, given the purpose of this thing I probably wouldn't rebuy since it doesn't last very long. There are others on the market that aren't stitched that may serve the same purpose and last longer, particularly since this costs more than most. I’ve reached out to Lusso to see what will be done. Will update accordingly based on their response, or lack thereof. UPDATE (March 3rd, 2018): Received an e-mail response from the co-owner less than 12 hours later. Promptly sent a replacement no questions asked, and it appears the product I received was a defect. Wow. Talk about wonderful customer service; you've kept me a shopper for life that is a breath of fresh air nowadays. In light of this, rating amended!

Good purchase!

Just what I wanted to go under the toddler car seat on my 2018 Atlas. The carseat dug into my leatherette seats within one week. This protector is firm enough to prevent more damage and doesn’t cause the baby carseat to move around. There’s a gap you can see in the picture where the buckle and anchors go through. At first I thought the gap was silly because I’d prefer it catch dirt and crumbs but if it was made that way then the seatbelts and anchors wouldn’t fit properly. Very happy with my purchase!

If you have kids you have no doubt looked at or even purchased a car seat protector. Your search is over because this is absolutely the best car seat protector available! We love it so much that we just purchased more to replace all our car seat protectors. I'm the most excited that the lusso car seat protector extends up the entire back of the seat and secures with a buckle under the headrest. With the change in guidelines a few years ago, more and more families are choosing extended rear facing for their children. This means little feet (and their shoes) are constantly on your vehicle's seats. Everyday I am cleaning dirt, grass, and even snow off our leather seats. A shoe buckle scratched the leather too. This car seat protector solves all of those problems. I also love the non slip texture on the bottom and the pockets to store toys, snacks, or whatever you need handy. There's a small flap to tuck between the seats as well. This protector is very secure with the non slip grip, the flap in the middle, and the buckle on the head rest. It's also just thick enough to prevent the indents car seats tend to leave on leather seats. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to protect their vehicle's seats.

Great product with exceptional customer service

Updated: was immediately contacted by the company upon my review and they vowed to make it right. Super nice owners and explained they had a bad lot. Replaced the car seat protectors and they are great quality and function. Would definitely recommend! Original: Purchased 2 for our new van and both protectors smell SO BAD. Almost like a chemical/mold smell. I have aired out them both indoors and outdoors and it’s been almost a week and they have yet to lose the smell.

Prevents Damage and Stains

I've been using these for a few months now and I'd like to address two of the most common concerns in the reviews I've read for this product and others like it: -This product has not damaged or stained the leather seats in my car after three months. This is a common complaint from reviews on similar products. It has also prevented damage from the car seat as expected. -Some reviews mention that a car seat can slide around too much with this product. While I agree that it is probably more slippery than the car seat being directly on the seat, I don't believe the car seat is supposed to be held in place by friction with the seat. It should be held in place by tension from the belt. There are some other products that use more rubber (and are more likely to stain) that could give the appearance of being more secure when there is really no difference. Additionally, the "one inch" test is supposed to be done at the belt path, not the end of the car seat. I haven't had any issues with it coming out or moving around. The bottom section that hangs over the front of the seat does a good job of protecting the seat from dirty shoes. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking to protect your seats when using a car seat.

VERY HAPPY!!

Great product. I have had other seat covers underneath my children's car seats, this is the only one that has actually worked. My vehicle has leather interior and other protectors have always slid around on the actual seat. Which is not only annoying but I felt also very unsafe because the car seat could also slide around and the tighter I made the anchor the more scrunched up the protector would get. I went with these because of the positive reviews and hoped that by spending a little extra money I would be happy. I'm happy I did. My favorite part of these covers are the grippers on the back, so there is no sliding around. They are made of a nice thick heavy duty material which I'm hoping will prevent or reduce the indentation of the car seat on my leather. I purchased two, one for an infant car seat and one for a toddler car seat and they work with both. They also fit perfect on the seats in my smaller SUV.

Will definitely protect the car.

This product gets 5 stars from me for the following reasons. 1) QUALITY: The product itself is of great quality. The material is very good. It feels like it will not rip or weaken ever. 2) PROTECTION: It is well padded and will definitely protect my new car's leather from the two car seats that I have. In terms of size and fit, it fit my Acura RDX SUV perfectly covering the seat from the top to bottom, and due to its creases it contoured into the seat perfectly. 3) DEISGN: One of the main reasons that I chose this brand is that it doesn't have a large logo and brand in the direct view of my children. It has a small side logo, which is subtle but not in their face. It comes with red stitching which is a really nice style. 4) CUSTOMER SERVICE: before I even got the product I got an email from one of the founders of the product. She was checking in on whether I received it and wanted to make sure that I was satisfied and if I had any questions, to ask her. And I did have a question, and I replied to the email, and she responded within one day. It was refreshing to be dealing with such a company. Thank you.

More than a Back Seat Protector!

I'm a Personal Trainer and an 5/6x week gym user. I chose the Lusso Gear pad as Driver's seat protector for the post gym rides home. Been back and forth for over a week now. Not only is the pad inordinately comfortable and supportive, it does not seem to retain any of the "remnants" - read sweat and smell, of my two hour workouts and sessions with my clients. I'd offer that they have a different niche to add to their marketing plan. The product is everything I hoped for. BTW - Lusso Gear's email engagement, while a staple of Amazon vendors, is unparalleled. You actually get the sense that someone is reading the response mails and is actually concerned.

Thick, sturdy padding without risk of backer melting into leather seat unlike competitors.

I just finished installing a protector under our Diono RXT car seat and the back-of-seat organizer in my 2017 Subaru Impreza hatchback. They’re sized perfectly for the car. I like the cutouts in the seat protector because they made it easy to click the LATCH straps into the little bars in my seat. My husband and I are expecting our first baby, a boy, this month and now with the Lusso products we are all ready for him to arrive! I chose the Lusso protector above all the rest because I read so many horrifying reviews on companies designing protectors with rubbery backings that melted into and destroyed leather seats - needless to say, I didn’t want to take any chances with my first new car’s leather seats!
