Really fun truck!

I bought this item as a birthday gift, and it was the hit of the party! Great size, very real looking, and easy to operate features make this one a real winner. I especially like the intuitive sound activation, where it makes engine and backup sounds magically by simply moving the truck forward/backeards, without having to press any buttons. And the sounds are very authentic. I may be purchasing a second one shortly for one of my nephews, after seeing how well this toy works. Very satisfied customer, and love the Matchbox quality (it’s been rough housed around for over 2 weeks now with no signs of breakage). Only negative (more of a “wish”) was that it came with a second trash can, as others have mentioned. But still 5 stars!

Very nice quality, size, and price! Lots of fun!

Wow! This truck was way bigger than I expected for the price and it came with batteries so the sounds and lights worked instantly. We bought this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas since she’s fascinated with the garbage truck, and this is probably her favorite toy even compared to other toys that cost way more. A lot of toys on Amazon leave a lot to be desired, but this was awesome. Great job with this one!

Toy hall of fame!

This truck is fantastic. My 2.5 year old nephew is typically bored with these types of toys, preferring games/books/building sets (which is great, don't get me wrong). However I was presented the conundrum of his father explaining that his uncle (me) would be ARRIVING in a garbage truck... which not only stuck but he was SUPER excited about. Great... I was hoping giving him his own truck would work - DID IT EVER!!!! He played with it all weekend and it sort of upstaged Easter egg activities, which I selfishly thought was kinda cool. If your kid is fascinated with garbage trucks get them this toy! Sounds are really cool, not too loud, and don't go on forever. It can be a little tricky to get the recycling container slotted and dumping for a little one but he didn't seem frustrated.

Best of the fleet!

My 2 year old grandson is a garbage truck fanatic! He has a whole fleet of them so our family has had a lot of opportunity to compare. This is by far the best!! Sturdy and works consistently well so no frustration in play like some of the others. I bought him this for Christmas and decided to get one for him to have at my house but the price has gone through the roof!! Double what I payed one month ago! It is also hard to find. I did find through another seller and had a coupon so while it was still more than what I payed here a month ago, it was worth it.

Best garbage truck toy ever.

This is the coolest garbage truck toy ever. The top of the cab has 3 buttons that make sounds. There is 2 horn sounds and one engine idling sound. It when you pull the lever to lift the arm, the truck makes a hydraulic noise. It makes a different hydraulic lift noise when you lift up the truck's hopper to dump the trash from back of the truck. If you push the truck forward, it makes an engine sound. When you push the truck backwards, it beeps like a truck backing up. The garbage arm folds up against the truck for storage when you are not using it, and folds back down when you are ready to start picking up trash again. The back of the truck has 2 doors that open. This is such a fun toy. My kid has had hours of fun with this. The little trash can it comes with is really cool. Don't hesitate to to buy this for the little garbage truck fan in your life!

Kookoo for trash trucks!!!

I bought 2 of these for my grandkids a 4yo and 2yo they absolutely love this truck. They have several trash trucks cause they’re obsessed with trash trucks, but this is special because it is a side loader, and that’s hard to find. They love using the arm and lifting up the trash can included and dumping out the trash. The rear lifts up and doors open up too to dump out the trash at the “landfill”. The truck is a perfect size for each of their age and their little hands and dexterity. It appears to be made of a sturdy hard plastic. It makes sounds as though it’s dumping trash, engine starting, backing up, and horn. Sounds are not too annoying at all. The truck keeps them occupied for quite a while. I’m really pleased with my purchase. If you have kiddos who are into trash trucks this truck is everything!

Need more trash cans

An abosolute hit with my 2 yr old grandson! Just wish I came with additional trash cans, or at least make them available for purchase. I bought some others recommended on the page and they were way too small. Still great sounds, surprisingly durable and lots of storage in the back of the truck. Lift is a little complicated, but no hinderance to the hours of fun he had!

Perfect for a garbage truck loving kid

As a mom of a 2.5 year old little boy, we have tons of trucks, especially garbage trucks. By far this one is his favorite. He has played with it non stop since he got it. Prior ones we’ve had, the “arm” has broken or the back didn’t tilt etc. this one does it all. Can lift the can, tilt the back, it makes noises just like the real trash truck. If you have a little boy that loves garbage trucks, get this!

Great side loading truck

My 3 year old has nearly all garbage truck toys available and this is one of his favorites. There aren't many side loading garbage truck toys on the market, so that is the big selling point for him. This garbage truck does make noise, but the button is flesh on the top of the truck and doesn't stand out, so he hasn't noticed that I didn't put batteries in it. It comes with one trash can that slides onto the hook on the arm, and you use the yellow handle to move the trash can to the top of the truck to dump it into the hole. The doors on the back of the truck open out and the green part of the truck lifts up for easy dumping. It would be nice if we can buy more trash cans that work with this garbage truck, but my son had managed to make the Bruder trash cans work alright. We have a bunch of those and they are sold separately. EDITED TO ADD: I just added batteries and it's actually really cool. The noises are not obnoxious and of actually makes noise based on the way you move it. It beeps when backing up, has motor sounds when driving forward, creaks when you lift the arm, and makes a noise when you dump it.
