The best of the best; a worthy upgrade from the original BackBeat Pro
I've owned / used the original Plantronics Backbeat Pro and this is definitely a worthy version 2. The following are a few thoughts: a: Size: The smaller size is probably the biggest plus in my view. The original was just huge... but since they were so awesome sounding, yea; I wore them, but they were huge. The newer version isn't compact, but the "right size"; at least for me and my head. b: Sound: This isn't a scientific opinion but they sound awesome, just like the originals. No issue or complaints here. I've tried numerous bluetooth and regular headphones; these are definitely the best headphones out there in terms of sound, battery life, ease of use / controls etc... A no brainer. c: Controls: The controls are the only step down from the original. I'm assuming because of the smaller form factor they could have the rotating dials on both sides of the headphones? In the version 2, the primary controls for the music are solely on the left side; I can live with that and I'm sure that I'll get used to it. However, I thought that the original controls were more "manual" and intuitive. d. All in all, another super product from Plantronics

Great alternative to Bose QC 35 at half the price!
This is one of the best pair of wireless over the ear headphones on the market, I've used the Bose QC35's and while they do have better noise cancellation, these sound the same, and they're half the cost. Battery life is great, I flew round trip across the US on one charge and they still show half full. If you're looking for a solid pair of wireless headphones that have ANC (Active noise cancellation), before you spring for the Bose QC35's, give these a try. You'll be surprised! A note on comfort, most over the ear headphones get uncomfortable after wearing them for 3-4 hours. I have small ear canals but large ears, so earbuds don't really work well, and most over the ear headphones tend to pinch my ears which can be painful. I traded up from a pair of Parrot Zik headphones, which have a more intuitive user interface for volume adjustment track changes. It was nice to have that touch interface on the side of the Zik's, however, these are lighter, and therefore much more comfortable to wear for extended periods. The Parrot Zik's also struggled to provide more than 5-6 hours of battery life wirelessly, which makes them a poor choice for cross country flights given the fact that they would normally die just before final decent. Try these! You won't be disappointed.

I'm super happy with my purchase
Received these a few hours ago and what can I say - WOW! I'm super happy with my purchase! I bought Sony MDR100ABN on sale at Costco last week and had to take them back two days later. They were not comfy at all, squeezing my head too much and ANC made all sorts of hissing and electrical buzzing noises. I also didn't like that I had to manually turn off NC every time I turned them on. And the absolute deal breaker for me was their inability to connect to two devices at once. These Plantronics Headphones are everything I was looking for. They are much more comfortable on my ears with much softer cushions. Build quality appears to be great so far. My ears are getting just a little bit warm, but not uncomfortable. Better than Sony's were. BackBeats sound really good to my ears. Very nice and balanced sound! External controls seem to work great with my Google Pixel 2 and buttons on the ear cup are big and easy to locate, unlike the Sony. They pause when I take them off, which is nice. Range is awesome, I can walk around my entire house (2 story, 2100 sq ft) and play music from my MacBook with no cut offs at all. Another huge plus here is Open Mic feature which seems to work great as well as ability to keep Noise Cancelling off permanently, which is a nice feature for me since I will rarely need it working in a quiet home office, but still want NC functionality for when I occasionally travel. And the best feature - I can stay connected to my laptop and listen to music/podcast and still take calls on my cell phone, seemlesly without having to disconnect from one and connect to the other! I cannot comment on the battery life, since I have not owned these long enough. TL;DR PROS: Very comfortable to wear Conveniently located, large controls Good sound quality Easy dual device pairing/connectivity Good build quality CONS: Wish they had a USB-C port for charging. Because of these I have to carry a MicroUSB cable with me.

Excellent Headphones
Let's start with its construction, of first quality, solid and elegant. Its sound is clear, with very good bass, which are balanced and do not spare the means or the highs (they are not for listening to reggaeton or rap, where what matters is the rumble and not the harmony). They are light and cover the ears very well, they are comfortable to wear. Their maximum volume is good, but they will not like those who confuse "listening to music" with "aturdise with noise". The Noise Canceling is excellent, in my office it perfectly covers the sound of the air conditioning and in the bus the sound of the crowd; at the same time your outdoor microphone will allow you to perceive sounds and conversations well without having to remove your hearing aids. Its bluettoth connection is fast and simple, and its playback with APTx is great, it allowed me to discover choirs and melodies previously hidden in my music. Your commands on the headphones with easy to use. I recommend your purchase for the excellent cost-benefit / quality ratio.

Interesting response from Plantronics customer service
My goal was to find a set of headphones that had great sound but did not cost $250.00 or more. The noise cancellation feature was of secondary importance to me because I use the headphones in the house 99% of the time. I fly occasionally but not enough to require the best noise cancellation in the world. After reading too many reviews I decided to try the Tribit X Free model, mainly because of the positive reviews. I found out quickly that when I tried to pair the headphones the purple light would simply stay on but the headphones would not pair or connect, so I sent them back and asked for a replacement. Unfortunately, the second set did the same thing so I gave up and sent them back for a refund. I originally was deciding between the Tribit's and the Mpow's, so I then got a set of Mpow H10's. Although it paired and connected properly it simply didn't sound that great with weak bass and scratchy trebles. Another big issue for me was that whenever I used the noise cancellation feature there was a very noticeable hissing sound. Back I went to researching for a headphone with excellent sound quality. I looked at the reviews for the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2's and found them to be quite mixed. However, the negative reviews related to poor sound cancellation, and to a comfortable fit. The noise cancellation didn't matter to me so I was only a little concerned about the comfort. Based on the many positive reviews about the sound quality I decided to try them anyhow. I mainly use headphones to listen to Spotify music on my laptop, but when I first used them I found that after playing several songs, the music tracks started skipping badly and the music was inaudible. I contacted Plantronics about the problem and received an interesting response as follows: Thank you for contacting Plantronics Customer Care. We have received your message and would like to inform you that Our Bluetooth headsets are only designed for smartphones/tablets. They are not specifically optimized to be used directly with a PC or Mac. Pairing your Bluetooth headset with your PC or Mac may sometimes work for audio streaming, but we cannot guarantee the audio quality or how well the headset functions will work. Wow, that was an interesting response because it was not mentioned in the product description or in any of the reviews on Amazon and other sites. I contacted Plantronics again and they indicated that they have a dongle that is designed to solve that problem. The dongle costs $100.00. I contacted them once again, and without going into detail, they agreed to send me a dongle free of charge. I have mixed feeling about this whole thing, but at least Plantronics went out of their way to fix the problem. Now, as far as the headphones themselves, I only have positive things to say about them. Yes, the noise cancellation is not great, but I find them to very comfortable and can easily wear them for four hours or more with no discomfort. The battery life is phenomenal, as mentioned by other reviewers. The most impressive feature is the sound quality. There is absolutely no comparison to either the Tribit's or the Mpow's. The audiophiles who are reading this will undoubtedly point out that there is no comparison between the Plantronics and a set of headphones that cost $250.00 or more. That's fair, but I don't really care because I am totally satisfied with the sound of the Plantronics. The bass is extremely good, it's not muddy, and it doesn't drown out the mid range and treble sounds. In fact, even though it's somewhat of a cliche, I can honestly say that I hear sounds that I've not heard before. For example, in the past I've never been able to hear the brush sounds on a cymbal or drum whereas I can now. At times, some of the sounds I hear actually startle me because I don't expect them to be so clear. A good example of that is hand clapping in some music. As a side note, I didn't have any problem with track skipping when I used the headphones with my phone, but I'm still a little confused about the headphones not being designed to use with a laptop. Regardless, I am so satisfied with the sound quality of these headphones that I would buy them again.

One of the best headphones
I've been in search of the perfect (well, close to perfect) headphones. I've been on this quest for the last six months or so, testing out several headphones. My requirements were – Multipoint bluetooth (so I could connect to two devices at the same time), Bluetooth 4.0 or higher, comfortable fit for long periods of time, easy to use controls, good balance of sound between highs and lows, and noise cancellation (though this is not a requirement). I also wanted an over-the-ear design for sound isolation and comfort, but again, not an absolute requirement. One last thing, looks or style of the headphones is completely irrelevant to me. I'm wearing this in the house, so only I care what they look like. I tried Bose, Beats, Plantronics BackBeat Pro (the first version of this line), Sony, and a few more. I never got precisely what I want. Finally, I decided on the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2. Here's what I like about them: 1. Price is $100-150 cheaper than competitive headphones for what appears to be similar quality and features. 2. Multipoint Bluetooth connectivity allows me to connect to my iPhone and TV at the same time. So you can listen to your main device for music or TV, but still able to answer your phone without taking off the headphones. 3. Extremely comfortable. The earpods and headband have some very nice cushioning. I have worn these things for 4-5 hours without any complaints from my ears or head. 4. Noise cancellation. I'm not a big fan of noise cancellation, since I'm just in my house, which is mostly quiet. But I can turn the noise cancellation off, and get great realistic sound. But if I need NC, I've got it with a flip of a switch. 5. Controls are large and intuitive. It's easy to answer the phone, forward to the next song in a playlist, or pause. The volume controls aren't quite as intuitive, but figuring it out was easy. 6. Bluetooth connectivity to my Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, iMac and Amazon Fire TV was fast and solid. 7. With the caveat that I'm not a music aficionado, the sound quality was amazing. There was good deep, but not annoying, base, crisp mids, and sweet highs. I could hear the lyrics of most songs like someone was speaking to me face to face. The bass was just perfect for a wide range of songs, but I know that some people love the Beats bass, and this isn't that. 8. Fit and finish is top of the class. It's well constructed with a lot of texture, and solid feel to all of the parts. The switches have excellent feedback, so you know when you're engaging them. This headphone can match the quality of any competitors, even ones that are $200 more! But everything wasn't perfect. The carrying case was just a bag – and it wasn't as nice as the tough, stiff bag that was provided with the BackBeat Pro, the earlier version. I might have to get a carrying case for these headphones if I travel with them. The color is kind of a muted brown, which has got to be the most boring color ever. Again, I didn't buy this for style, but it really goes out of the way to not appear stylish. Otherwise, this is one of the best headphones on the market. And it's so much less expensive than competitors, unless there's some specific feature of the more expensive competitors that thrills you, this should be where you stop your shopping, and just click on buy.

Good headphones for mobile (android) device, but many problems
Plantronics Pro2 are pretty overpriced Headphones with really average sound quality, also it has issue with Windows10: sometimes sound could lost, need to turn off them then turn on and connect again. But with mobile device (I have android) it works perfect (I mean pairing works perfect), quality sound the same - average. Noise cancelation feature - marketing things, for example Sony WH-1000XM2 has absolutely amazing noise cancelation feature, but in Plantronics it was implemented as "we should have it in specification list and it does not matter" I bought it for 120$, I would say it is very expensive for such overall quality, normal price should be 70-80$, but not 200$ as manufacture is trying to sell them. If you have thick wallet I would recommend you buy Sony top models, just add 100$ and get better everything. If you do not have thick wallet - just buy anything less than 100$ and you will be happy! P.S. Honestly, my Powerbeats3 (bought it for 105$) has better sound quality and better bass, size is less in 10 times and I can put them even in pocket and all these with the same battery life.

Best $140 Bluetooth over ear headphones
Pros * Rated as the best headphones you can buy for under $200 (I got these for $140). * Clear, rich, accurate sound. * Deep thumpy bass. But it doesn't overpower everything. It's the perfect amount of powerful bass that still lets you hear the rest of the music. * Comfortable. You can easily wear these for 8+ hours every day. * 30+ hours of battery. Insane really. * Noise cancelling is a nice bonus. * Good build, good looks. It's made of metal and comfy pleather. Cons * Controls could be better, I don't like the dial for the volume, they should've just used buttons. * "Smart" on/off feature isn't really that smart. Every time I turn and tilt my head to reach for something, it thinks I've taken the headphones off and turns off. I haven't figured out yet how to turn this off. * Mic is meh. But you aren't buying this for the microphone. * Don't buy these if you're looking for noise-cancelling that'll drown out a subway ride. RTings.com rated these as the best headphones you can buy for under $200, and I believe them. I've been searching for the best budget over-ear headphones that I could comfortably wear for 8+ hours a day at the office, and these are definitely it. The noise-cancelling I consider a bonus, they work well enough to cancel out office noise and chatter, my coworkers can be sitting right next to me chatting away and I won't hear a single word they say, it's great. When it comes to good sound, one important thing to look for is Bluetooth. Most phones/tablets/PCs have weak internal DACs so when you plug in a headset through the headphone jack, they don't sound half as good as if you connect with Bluetooth. I didn't know about this until I experimented with different headphones. These headphones also come with a headphone jack, but it simply sounds much better if you connect with Bluetooth. I'm not sure why reviewers never mention this simple fact. Try it if you don't believe me.

Wonderful ANC headphones with cool features
These headphones (Plantronics BackBeat PRO 2) are definitely worth it. I wanted ANC headphones for my office and reviews were saying these were top tier for mid price. I'd agree. The audio quality is great and the ANC works well. The picture is kinda hard to tell the color from, but the headband and cups are a dark brown and the side has a dark gray/brown wood pattern. Pros: ANC pretty much removes all ambient noise in the surroundings (you can still hear some talking near you though but it's muffled) You can pair with two devices at the same time and switch easily (my phone and laptop for example) Despite not having a mic pointed at your mouth, these work well for phone calls. My friend said it sounded similar to, but clearer than speaker phone. She didn't have a problem hearing or understanding me but the quality wasn't as good as using the phone regularly. Long battery life (boasts 24 hrs but I haven't tested this longevity yet. Doesn't die during an 8 hr workday though) Works even with great distance from paired devices (boasts 330 ft from class 1 devices, haven't tested this far) Special function that you can turn on/off to pause music when you remove your headphones and play again when you put them back on Volume, end call, call back, next song, previous song, play/pause, mute mic controls on headphones Very comfortable, soft over the ear cups Cushioned microsuede inside headrest I have a really small head and these fit fine (looks like they can extend maybe up to 1.5" on both sides) Large L (left) and R (right) printed on inside of cups so you can easily see which orientation to put them on 3 listening modes: ANC, regular, and Open Listening. Open listening is super cool and I've never experienced anything like it before. It dims a lot of ambient noise, and boosts conversations around you. It makes conversations around you quite clear if you aren't playing music. Good for listening for your stop on public transport (or eavesdropping) Cups rotate to lie flat when headphones worn around the neck Comes with a 3.5 audio cable to use as wired headphones Can use bluetooth and ANC while charging (if you have a long enough microusb cable) Cons: * No sort of "security" as far as I can tell for pairing. I was wearing my headphones paired to my laptop and was informed that they suddenly also paired to a phone (someone else's in my office). It would be nice if there was a way to rename the device or set a security password so people couldn't accidentally pair. Especially problematic for a large office where a few people might have the same headset. I had to go into active pairing mode to de-pair from the offending device and re-pair to my own.

if you use it to listen music like hip hop or something with a lot of bass
Well, I owned Beats Studio Wireless and recently purchased this (Plantronics Backbeat PRO 2). There is a lot of difference in sound quality. Let's try to explain. If you are a Basshead you definitely have to choose BEATS STUDIO WIRELESS. The bass in these headphones is powerfull but this impacts the other range of sound (medium and high). I mean, if you use it to listen music like hip hop or something with a lot of bass, the Beats are fine. On the other hand if you need a balanced sound where you can hear the details of the music you should choose PLANTRONICS BACKBEAT PRO 2. Speaking of the other features: ANC beats is better (although no for me because I feel that I am submerged in a pool and the pressure isn't comfortable for me). The auto stop / play function does not exist in the beats studio, the OPEN LISTENING does not exist in beats studio, the CONTROL BUTTONS are more friendly in plantronics backbeat pro 2, BATTERY LAST beats studio 12 hours, Plantronics 24 Hour, COMFORT Plantronics is more comfortable) In fact it can rotate 90 degrees making it very comfortable when you put it on your neck, MULTIPOINT CONNECTION does not exist in Beats Studio Wireless. This feature allows you to connect two devices at the same time and switch between one and the other, in addition, if, for example, you are in your computer listening to music and a call come to your phone, the music is paused and you can answer the call, at the end of the call, you just need to play back to the music again. FOLDABLE, Plantronics is not foldable. CASE HARD, Plantronics does not have a hard case, it has a bag (it is sturdy). (I apologize for my spelling mistakes, I'm learning to write in English)
