Beaitiful Knives Kept Gleaming & Rust Free with "Bar Keeper's Friend"

ORIGINAL OUT-OF-BOX REVIEW: Great looking, classy, high craftsmanship, beautiful! So pleased with these knives! Would absolutely recommend. UPDATE AFTER 1 HAND WASHING: Shocked to find 3-4 points of rust on both sides of each knife after 1st washing & air drying!!! Found another review on here with photo that shows more advanced stage of rust after 2nd dishwashing. Terrible!!! Considering returning. Doesn't matter how attractive or sharp if rusting immediately. That's worthless!!! Haven't even used them once yet!!! An embarrassment!! UPDATE #2: After extensive online research into high carbon steel knives (disregard the stainless part on this advertising, it is generally not fully stainless due to metallurgy which creates strong high carbon knives which these Foxel knives have), I have discovered that after you wash them you SHOULD dry them right away. To deal with rust, use a product called "Bar Keeper's Friend," sold on Amazon which is used to remove any rust or staining. As a result of my research, I have decided to keep my beautiful steak knives & purchase Bar Keeper's Friend for shine ups. Hope this helps new buyers encountering this issue. It should be addressed in their write up online but is not.

we have used our new foxel knives twice no and they appear to be very sharp when cutting through the steak so far we love them we love the syle , they are easy to clean we use warm soap water by hand only they clean up nicely we took advantage of the by two sets offer and are not sorry we did thank you foxel for making such a nice steak knife

GREAT KNIVES !!!

These Foxel steak knives look & perform great. I bought them because here in Florida...everything rusts. I hand wash & dry them immediately, as all good knives should be. Time will tell if they remain rust free, being made from German stainless steel. However, I realize not all stainless steel items are created equal. Cannot find where the knives are made. Capzilla has a toll free # for any questions or concerns. They appear to be a quality product. As I said...time will tell. Oh, btw, they are fully returnable & refundable.

Great knives

So far so good. Quality product at a more than fair price. Used them once, loved them worked soooooo much better than the old supermarket knives. Great packaging for storage.

Sharp and smooth

The day we received the knives my wife's big gas grill would not light and we had fresh steaks ready. She would not be deterred by this and cooked the steaks indoors so we could try the knives and they were terrific. I don't think paying $200 would have bought better knives. Excellent steak knives

Excellent steak knives with very sharp blades. I am very pleased with this purchase for a house warming gift.

So far so good...

I bought this knife set because my old ones...were old. No knives are meant to last forever. I wanted some thing sharp that wouldn't break the bank but I also didn't want some super cheap set I'd have to replace in the new future. These seemed to be right in the middle. They are comfortable to hold and came sharp enough. I rated 5 star for value for money for the reasoning above. 5 star for giftable - it comes in a pretty nice box that makes them seem super luxurious. Plus, who wouldn't like to get new knives as a gift to replace old worn knives? I'm not rating durability to be fair. There's no Forged in Fire competition going on in my house. So time will have to tell how durable they are. I've only used them briefly so far but they seem to be holding an edge.

Slices steak like butter!

Just received and used it for the first time. Very pleased, sliced a very thick bbq ribeye like butter. Handles nicely and very well balanced. Love the design! Can’t give a long term review yet, but initial experience very pleased!!!
