Great puzzle

I absolutely love this name puzzle. We got it as a Christmas present for my daughter who was 15 months old at the time. She was interested in it but couldn't interact with it at the time. After a month or so, she figured out the capital "I" and by 20 months, she's putting the whole puzzle together on her own. The ONLY thing that bothers me is that the "E" only goes in one way. Most of the other letters, like "T" and "N" go just fine upside down, if they're oriented the right way. But the letter "E" is slightly asymmetrical from top to bottom, so it will only go in one direction, usually the one I don't try first! I'm a grown woman and probably shouldn't be having this much difficulty with a child's puzzle.

Absolutely PERFECT

I cannot say anything bad about this customized puzzle. The size surprised me, it was larger than I thought, which made it even better in my eyes. The letter slots are carved deep, so they letters fit snuggly and are perfect for learning placement. I could not be any happier with this item! I def. recommend this, as it’s a wonderful way to teach your child how to spell their name, along with matching letters.

Great quality and colors

I was so surprised with the great quality of this wooden name puzzle! My 1 year old daughter loves it and gets so excited to play it. Unfortunately though she already lost 2 of the letters. I wonder if there is a way to get replacements?? Overall, I recommend getting this name puzzle. Makes a great gift!

Wonderful puzzle

This made a great Christmas gift for a two-year-old and an almost three-year-old. Both have been playing with it regularly since Christmas, and not just as a puzzle -- one likes to load the letters into his dump truck and take them for a ride, and the other is hiding them all over the house and challenging others to find them. One of the kids has an older sibling from whom she has inherited many toys, and I think she particularly loves having something that is recognizably only hers. It's also a nice puzzle to work with, well-sanded and handsomely designed. I agree with some reviewers that it would be nice if some of the symmetrical letters (such as E) were designed in such a way that they don't have a right way up -- but the other adults in the family disagree with me and think that the extra challenge is a plus, so you can take your choice on that point!. It's a satisfying piece of work that won't need to be put away later when it's outgrown, as it will make an appealing room decoration.

AWESOME BIRTHDAY GIFT

AWESOME BIRTHDAY GIFT! I bought this for my grandson's second birthday. It was much bigger than I had anticipated and it's made of very sturdy wood - it would hold up through pretty much anything a child could put it through! I highly recommend it. Not sure how a smaller name (such as Amy) would look but mine was for the name Benjamin. Came very well packaged as well. I love it!

Sent this to my 2 1/2 year old grandson. He loved it, wanted to sleep with it. He was quite able to manipulate the pieces and very quickly was successful. As a special educator for many years, I recognize that is important. Plus, because it was his name, his motivation was increased. This dear child has many toys and puzzles but this remains his favorite, even after months. The price was minimal, for the joy it gave him and me. I have two other grandsons who will also be receiving one of these!

We bought one for each kid!

What an awesome gift to give to a kiddo. We purchased one for each of our children and two have very unique names. They came fast. Stellar quality. What I really liked is that each one had different colors (The "A" in one name was a different color than the "A" in the other name). Our two year old triplets took to them super fast and were engaged with learning their name and their siblings. Highly recommend!

Be aware that if you try to incorporate an accent mark or any other mark it will screw up the spelling of the name. Apparently, the software from Amazon to Fat Brain Toys doesn't talk to each other well. My first order had the name spelled incorrectly. I called Fat Brain Toys directly and they immediately shipped a corrected puzzle. My grandkids loved them and so did their parents. Excellent customer service at Fat Brain Toys.

Beautiful Name Puzzle

I purchased this wooden name puzzle for a birthday gift. I was so delighted when it arrived, because it was carefully packaged to protect the puzzle. The colors are bright, painting well-done, wooden pieces are well-finished with smooth edges, and fit well in the puzzle frame. The frame is sturdy, well-made, smoothly-sanded and finished to perfection. I did not mind paying a little more for such a lovely wooden puzzle that with care, will last a lifetime.
