Don't be mislead by the small jar. This sauce is packed with flavor. You only need two tablespoons or so per pound of pasta, depending on what you add. It's delicious as a stand alone. I even mixed it with plain ramen and leftover canned chicken. A filling dinner in three minutes.

If I am too lazy to make homemade pesto, or if my basil crop isn't doing very well, I use this. It is the only jarred pasta sauce I will ever buy. I've tried a few other brands of pesto: some are pasty, some are too oily, some have too many pignoli. This brand, surprisingly, is great! My family (which includes young children) gobbled it up.

I've used this pesto for a long time, but recently I went on the keto diet and found a new use for it. I add a tablespoon or two to chopped or zoodled zucchini which I sauteƩ in butter and coconut oil with pine nuts and various other ingredients. It's just the right blend of spices and herbs. Adding a bit of fresh basil is nice, too. It's so deliecious I don't feel like I'm on a diet.

Some people have written horrible reviews of Prego Basil Pesto, claiming that it's not authentic. Those people are probably not very authentic, either. It's possible that they drink too much and got married to their cousin. HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PREGO BASIL PESTO: It tastes really good, there's nothing too weird in it, and the price is reasonable. Ever since I started eating Prego Basil Pesto, I have gained new self-confidence, I have stopped drinking, and I sent my cousin back to my uncle's house.

I was pleasantly surprised with this little jar of pesto. I figured it wasn't expensive and so I took the gamble thinking I could always use it somehow in cooking/grilling if it turned out to be a disappointment. I am addicted! I put this on almost all my meats and even eggs. It's great. More than I expected from a bargain brand jar of pesto sauce. Will be purchasing again.

This pesto sauce is great. It is almost the same as homemade without the fuss of making it. My daughter loves it too and she is a picky eater. Will definitely buy again.

Loved the flavor, taste. A little pricey depending on where you find it( $1 less at Walmart) but all pesto is. I got it as a back up supply; usually make my own. Prego sauces are great for money... gave up on making pasta and dipping sauces when I discovered Prego Traditional years ago. Had been using Paul Newman but Prego is better priced. Saves money and they are often on sale and it competes very well with "boutique or restaurant" quality sold in stores. Goes well with Barilla pastas too...one of the worlds best pastas.

If you like basil then this is for you. I grow fresh basil on my deck but when I need a good strong flavor I use this. Easy to use and tastes just like fresh basil.

There is nothing like fresh pesto but this comes pretty close. I know I will be making dinner and think, "oh no, I forgot the basil!" and this jar of pesto is just perfect for those occasions. I like to add this to pasta by itself for flavor or my favorite is to have fresh tomatoes from the garden, sliced, with a generous slice of fresh mozzarella and a dollop of this pesto on top. It makes a wonderful appetizer especially if you dribble them all with some nice olive oil. I highly recommend this Prego Pesto because it will come in handy if you have some in your pantry. I order it from Prime Pantry and am satisfied with their prices.

I usually grow basil, just for Pesto. This is so much better than what happens with ultra fresh basil. In addition, after using 1/2 of it, the rest seems to stay good in the refrigerator for so long! I'll grow basil still, but just for bruschetta.
