I have used this type of press in quite a few shops and I work as a pro auto tech, ASE master. This is the one I like and so I bought one for myself. With a little care it will last for years and years, of course if you really try you can screw it up your first time using it. The bearing for the forcing screw that it comes with is crap and I destroyed it on the second car. I found another much better bearing on amazon for 9 bucks and it is super heavy duty and fits the kit perfectly. NICE BALL BEARING 608VBF53 It has a 7/8 ID and can handle being up against any of the pieces in the kit. Your welcome.

Good Quality Steel

This tool set was great. I used it to pull the hubs and replace the 40mm x 40mm x 80mm rear wheel bearings on 1980 Porsche 911SC. Instruction manual was clear and easy to use. Much less expensive than the full SIR Tool Kit and the reduced SIR Tool kit specific to Porsche 911 that that I was considering on Pelican Parts. The instruction manual was written well and I didn't have issues like others reported. I uploaded a photo/table with the measurements converted to metric to in case that helps you decide if this kit is right for your application. My thanks goes out to the other buyers who posted good reviews and gave me the confidence to invest in this tool kit. No regrets.

Quality kit that dramatically cuts down job time

Used this kit to do the rear wheel bearings on a '01 Porsche Boxster. Has all the parts need to pull the hub and pull the bearing from the carrier. Did the complete job with the carrier still on the car. This avoiding breaking ball joints to drop control arms and fumbling with the press to disassemble. Probably cut the time to do the job time by half. Tools and cases are quality. No fear of breaking anything.

Did remove and install my front wheel bearings and Hubs on my 2000 Honda Accord with this tool and it's easy to use, shorten my work without removing the whole knuckle for pressing out the bearing. My only negative but not a big deal for me since this tool did my objective in a short period of work time. The plastic locking is brittle and broke easily, that I have to tie it with zip-tie after I'm done using it...Other than that this tool is awesome.

MUST HAVE!

What an awesome tool kit! No need to fumble and slam the hub off with a cumbersome slide hammer any longer. The tool made the wheel bearing job so simple. Don't be afraid to use an impact on the tool, it handled it no problem. Did 2 bearings so far and have not seen any damage to the adapters or bearing like a few others have reported. Just keep an eye on alignment and i start the tool by wrench, then run it down with the impact. Seriously found a replacement for the shop press!

very heavy duty

If you need this tool , dont hesitate just buy it. Same yourself the week I lost by trying other methods. Once I had this tool, I had the old bearing out within 15 min. After a thorough cleaning, I inserted the new bearing in about 25 minutes. This tool is worth the money if you need it and don't want to pay the outrageous price at the dealership.

Awesome hub bearing tool

Bought this because the OTC hub grappler was way overpriced. The flange remover also doubles as a bearing remover. I also bought a cheap bearing installer in case I don't have enough adapters but probably won't need it. I paid a total of $230 for both sets compared to $460 and up for the OTC Grappler.

Gets the job done flawlessly

If you are a technician this set is as essential as a pocket screwdriver. Bought it to separate a seized hub on a Jaguar XF-R. The kit did not work due to an odd size rear hub. It has worked like butter on everything else like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Land Rovers.

No room for shop a shop press.. This did the job and fits on a self.

This is a little ungainly to set up. But it worked great once I got i positioned correctly. Odd the at the instructions tell you not to use and impact gun but their own instructional video show a guy hammering away with an impact gun.

Too spendy but worth it

This costs way too much and is worth twice the price. If you are still wrenching like a poor teenager and using hammers and propane torches to get things apart, grow up. This made a job I’d been spending hours on take only minutes.
