A subtle look with good protection.

I’m going to begin by saying that I have not fully tested this as in I have not had the unfortunate event where someone backed (slammed) up into my car hard enough to see if this product actually will save my bumper. I have unfortunately had someone back up enough to the point where their back bumper rubbed up against it pushing it slightly. It did protect my license plate well and also my front from getting scratched by the person parking in front of me. So in that sense it did it’s job. The product is very sturdy, made of a hard but semi flexible rubber, there are two metal bars on each side but they aren’t think and I am not sure they do much but just makes it look... flashy...er than other licence plate guards? Anyhow I guess if you like this style fine but I don’t think that works in anyway as part of the protection. The way the product is made you basically place the licence plate into the space that is provided, you may be wondering why I’m talking about this, the reason is I’ve bought other versions such as Bumper Shox and bumper shox xxl and the licence plate goes behind the product rather than into the product and if you’ve youtube’d reviewers of said product, it doesn’t work as well to proctect your license plate from bending when another vehicle backs up into you. Because this product has a cubby or spot to but the licence plate into it when someone backs into you, they hit the rubber guards on the top and bottom first and the licence plate should remain undented sitting firmly in its rest inside the frame guard. If someone were to back up even harder I don’t think this product will guard your front end from being pushed in but that would have to be a hard bump. Living in NYC there is nothing but Curb side parking as well as if you live in a big urban area so I feel this is a useful installation for any car new or older that you want to keep in good condition, or rather just from getting bumped into. It slightly protrudes a bit not really making it look obscene or an eye sore like some other brands. It seems to have been made with sturdy material and if this is an issue for anyone, reviewers say that it does not obstruct the view of the licence plate. This is important because police have been known to stop people if they look like they have something blocking the officers view of your license plate. The area that it has the protruding bumpers is top and bottom so it leaves the sides visible. I have not had any issues getting stopped with this on my car, but I have heard people have been stopped using the other ones that have the bumper guards that protude out of the left and right side b/c police can’t read your plates from those angles. Overall I like the look of the product, it doesn’t stand out too much and it works as intended.

My plate could take two screws at the top but they are really long and definitely holding it in place. The shorter screws at the bottom are simply holding the plate in place. This seems to be made well, sturdy, and definitely extends beyond the furthest point of the car. So far i'm very pleased.

I'm SOOO glad I made this purchase. For work there's limited parking space, so everyone tries to cram the lot. After the purchase I notice that having the bumper guard put on my car was a perfect thing to do. I noticed the tag on my car was dented in and someone was trying their best to maneuver their car on the lot. I'm So thankful to God that I had that bumper guard on my car to protect from any further damages. But I also chose not to park on the lot anymore to protect my investment. This bumper guard truly protected further damage from happening.

Thank-you Luv-Tap..'BUMPER THUMPER'...another great product! I purchased this front bumper protector along with the Luv-Tap rear all-around protector. Absolutely satisfied with both. I like the fact that Luv-Tap doesn't advertise their product in bold print on the plate holder/front bumper protector. It is larger than most other competitors and the soft outer appearance conceals the reinforced core metal protectors within. A nice touch for expensive luxury vehicles...other drivers have commented that it looks like O.E.M. (original equipment from the manufacturer). Lub-Tap provides all the screws necessary for either direct application to your bumper or placement over existing plate-holder. I recommended placement over existing plate holder as it will protrude a little more from the bumper. Note: The license plate is seated near the front of the Bumper Thumper as opposed to the rear placement of other major competitors. This makes your plate clearly visible to law enforcement personnel/cameras, as is proper. Pros: more than adequate front center bumper protection; longer and wider than other protectors, but doesn't appear 'oversized'; no product advertisement displayed; attaches easily with a screwdriver...less than 5 minutes. doesn't 'obscure' license plate from traffic cameras (good for preventing additional tickets/penalties for 'improper plate placement' or 'obscured plates'). See your State's regulations on this..NY gives tickets! Cons: doesn't 'obscure' license plate from traffic cameras (if that's what you want). See your State's regulations on this.

Should help at low speed bump.

It should help protect the front bumper on my 2017 Pilot Elite. I now sticks out and protects the bottom of the lower chrome bumper. Wish they show one a low speed bump into a Handicap parking pole. But it should work. I sprayed mine with Turtle wax F-21 UV spray protector too.

Seems great!

Just installed the full coverage system on my brand new Acura. I live in Brooklyn and got a scratch the first week. Seems like it’s going to be great coverage. Took me about 45 minutes to install by myself. I’m a female and somewhat handy. Probably wouldn’t take as long for some who knows what they are doing! Since it’s only been on there for the day, I can’t say it def works but it looks like it will. There are little keys so you can lock the buckle to prevent theft. I also have the luv tap back bumper protector which is awesome! It’s worth the investment if you have to park on the street.

The ONLY one that fits license plate AND personalized frame!!!

EXACTLY as advertised!!! This is the only protective frame that I have found that will allow for BOTH my personalized license plate and the license plate frame that completes my personalized license plate that came from DogTags here on Amazon. In this case, the plate says: ANG FILM and the frame says: (on top) ANOTHER and (on bottom) COMING SOON! Together it says: (duh!) ANOTHER ANG FILM COMING SOON! ALL the other protective frames would NOT have allowed for the frame and were therefore unusable. It's also very well built and will protect the front of my car from Love Taps from idiots in front of me as well as when I Love Tap the wall of my parking space like an idiot! And the installation? Idiot Proof!!! PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT!!! (CUT! PRINT IT! ON TO THE NEXT SCENE!!!)

Bumper Thunder saved my bumper

The Bumper Thunder saved my bumper from damage and saved the idiot who reversed his car into me an insurance claim. I just purchased a 2017 Rav4 a month ago and needed something to protect my front bumper from parking on Chicago's streets. Well it came in handy driving downtown when a bad driver tried to reverse out of traffic and ran into my vehicle (see photo). I was so grateful it saved my bumper that I just purchased another one for my wife's CRV. Well worth the price already!

I got tired of drivers hitting my front bumper

Easy to install (all you need is a screw driver). It doesn't look bad on my car. It doesn't block the plate letters.

Installed onto 2015 Nissan Rogue factory plate bracket

Great looking plate guard that does not obstruct plate info like competitors. Feels like dense foam which should offer protection from light taps. Original plates mounted onto bracket holder (not bumper) via 2 top screws only. I separately purchased four 6mmx50mm machine screws for $2 at local hardware store so I could mount into the existing bracket screw clips. Screws were slightly too long as touched bumper so i spaced it out with 2 rubber washers on top. Used other 2 screws for bottom and used hex nuts on back to secure the entire plate onto bumper thumper. You can also use the long screws that came with thumper by sliding out the oem plate holders screw clips. If you do, you would need to put 2 new holes into your cars bumper with their screws which I didn't want to do. Overall very please aesthetically.
