Perfection!

We bought one of these to go at the foot of our bed for 1) somewhere to sit and tie our shoes, 2) a sturdy step to help our short yet stocky dog and our elderly cats up onto the bed with us, and 3) extra storage space. When we got it and set it up, which simply means screwing the four little legs to the bottom with provided Allen wrench, we were thrilled with its construction and beauty. The lid has a hydraulic-type opening mechanism which keeps the lid up securely while you tend to its contents, and it is very spacious inside. After a couple of days, we decided we wanted a second one so we could put them side by side at the foot of our King-sized bed, and they look amazing! We really like the extra storage for bedding, emergency supplies, and whatnot. The shipping didn't take too long, even though both times we ordered they were out of stock. They seem to get regular shipments in frequently, so it was not an issue. We are currently looking to buy a new home with much more space than we have now, so we will likely purchase ANOTHER one for our living room. We love it that much.

Love it!!

I brought it on March 10th and it go here today (March 15th). There's very little assembling required. All your doing in screwing on the legs. The legs are tucked away in a zipped compartment underneath the futon (not hard to miss). It took me roughly 20 mins to put everything together. When it's all set up the futon sits about 14 1/2 inches off the ground I'm 5'10'' and I don't have a problem getting up off of it. I don't have a problem with it sinking either (though I've only had it for a few hours now lol). When laid flat, the bed is about the size of a full size mattress. If you add the chaise (which lays flat too) it could be a queen sized mattress. The ONLY thing I don't really like is how it feels. It's a bit too firm for my liking but I can deal with it! Overall, I'm very happy with this!

A Perfect Budget Futon

I needed some extra seating for my tv room, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. I searched Amazon first, because it's my go to for...everything. Sadly, I haven't had much luck with Amazon furniture, so I was hesitant when I saw this highly rated at $159, but I saw the thousands of reviews and decided to pull the trigger. First, the box. I loved that shipping box: not ONE annoying staple, which, for me at least, means no cuts. The futon itself came wrapped in a cloth protection cover, with the legs neatly hidden in a zippered compartment underneath the bottom of the futon. Second, the assembly. I have put together a lot of furniture over the years, for myself and family members. I normally rate the assembly process in one of three ways: 1) how many glasses of wine I drink during the assembly process, 2) how many breaks I take during the assembly process, and 3) how many hours elapse before I call my husband and tell him if he doesn't take over, I'm throwing it away. So, using this scoring process: 1) 0, 2) 0 and 3) 0. In this case, a 0 score=perfection! The only thing that needs to be done is screwing on the legs, and that takes about 15-20 minutes. That's it! As for the comfort, yes, it is firm. Again, it cost $159. I certainly didn't expect down filling, and this won't get daily use in my house, so the foam cushion works. I will probably buy some pillows for the back, but the bottom doesn't bother me. I think it will work as an extra bed in an emergency too. I personally prefer a firm mattress, and many others do too. If we have a guest who prefers something softer, we have a mattress topper that we can use, problem solved. Overall, I'd say trust the reviews. If you need an affordable seating option, this is absolutely the best bet.

Brilliant design

What a versatile piece of furniture for the price! I have it in the Vanilla surrounded by sage-green walls and a deep garnet accent wall. I entertain A LOT...I have the EMILY futon sofa bed AND the Emily Chase. I love the European klik-klak design (no struggles to put the couches into beds. You just lean the backrest forward then the spring releases and it lays flat) and here is what this couch can do: You can set up the couch and chaise as a sectional, but I have them displayed separately in different rooms.. The sofa becomes a full bed (which is very uncomfortable due to the bar in the middle), so I bought a four-inch memory foam topper and it now it is very compfortable. The chaise becomes a twin bed (but I recommend buying a twin foam topper for guests). Right now, I have the entire set staged as a KING size bed in the guest room, complete with a microfiber topper. It is very comfortable. The sofa lays flat and the chaise, when flat, lays against it and velcros to form a KING. In the winter, we put up the back rests to the king and it makes a classy looking king-sized couch in the den. So comfy to watch TV and read. These are fun pieces because they are so versatile that depending on your mood and imagination, you can give any room a facelift. Although this is pleather, it is still nice looking. I clean it with Method Almond oil.

Superb qualtiy.

Wow !!! This was beyond my expectation. I must say i was hesitant to buy furniture off of amazon as this was my first time doing so. But i was not dissappointed. The shipping was fast. It was very easy to assemble. My husband did it by himself. I loveeed the color and the velvety touch to it. It’s firm but super comfy. It doesn’t take up that much space. Loved the quality !! It fits in a relatively small space perfectly

I am very impressed with this futon. For the price I didn't expect much. I have tiny apartment and needed seating for my living area. I didn't want something that was going to make my apartment look like a dorm. All I had to do was attach the legs and it was ready to go. It comes folded in half when disassembled so it will be easy to get out of my apartment if I move. I love the grey linen fabric. This looks similar to a $1000 West Elm futon I loved. It seems sturdy and is actually more comfortable than what I expected. It's going to be used primarily as a sofa and only as a bed when guests stay over. This is perfect if you're living a small space and want a high end modern look on a small budget.

EASY set up, AMAZING material

i’m waiting for the futon to get here that goes with it but so far this chaise is amazing! seating is firm & the velvet material is gorgeous. it’s super sturdy and so easy to set up. literally 4 steps all you have to do is screw on the studs and they provide you with the tools to do so.

Awesome Futon

I want to make the seller aware and to prevent a potential damage issue for your future next customers. The Futon box had a big hole when it was delivered to my door. The box needs to be more stronger to accommodate the futon. Fortunately my Futon was not damaage and just happen to be still in excellent condition. I like the navy blue linen. I personally think this is a great futon. I bought the chaise too and it looks great now. Just be aware that the middle part of the Futon arches. There are all kinds of mattress toppers available that can add additional contouring or pressure relief to the surface of a too-firm mattress/futon. This is by far the simplest way to correct a too-firm mattress/Futon. Memory foam and latex excel and pain relief and prove durable, though wool, cotton, feather, and poly foam toppers are also popular as well. Sleep Like The Dead finds that the following types of toppers have the highest owner satisfaction: =Memory Foam Toppers, particularly toppers under 2” thick with lower foam density Wool Toppers Down Alternative/Fiber Toppers

I love this! I live in a small one bedroom apartment, so I wanted a couch that could turn into a bed for guests. I couldn't have picked a better/cheaper option. I feel so good about this purchase! It's firm, but comfortable. The back is adjustable, and the great thing is it looks like it's worth hundreds of dollars! If you're debating on going with this one, GO FOR IT!
