Best clock I could have found! My husband is only 52, but due to multiple TBIs has short term memory loss. He forgets what day it is, the month, whether it’s morning or afternoon. This clock is amazing! The digits and writing are very clear and legible. It has assited him without feeling so lost throughout the day and night. Helping ease anxiety and he has stopped asking repetitively what day it is, giving him more confidence and independence. I did need to set the clock for him, but the battery back up keeps the time going if we lose power.

I bought these for my parents and could not be more pleased at how easy they are to set up and to see. They come with an easel stand, but also are ready to hang. They plug in, so there's no issue with failing batteries. Everything you want to know for quick orientation is instantly available in large, clear type. By the way, the words "Dementia Clock" do not appear anywhere on the product or packaging, so it does its job without insult.

My sweet mother-in-law is 89 years young and has some tremors and pre-parkinsons We bought this as a gift for her. Super easy to use and set up, plus easy to adjust the time and date. This clock can easily be seen from over 12 feet away. It is a lifesaver as for when she pops up at 4am and wonders as to whether or not it is AM or PM she looks at the clock and it even mentions Dusk/Dawn Or evening Plus the big bold fontes helps her stay on track with meds 4-5 times a day Wonderful product and has been a Godsend for our mother and family

This is exactly what I was looking for. Anyone who has a family member or friend that has any form of memory loss from dementia or any memory loss disease, this product is a must have. The numbers and letters are big enough so that people with bad vision can read it. It helps when my dad get confused about what day it is because at the very top in big letters in all caps the day itself is spelled out and the date and year are at the bottom. Also it tells him what time it is not only by the clock but by spelling out Morning, mid-morning, afternoon, mid-day and so on. The best part was the set up because other than plugging in thats all there was to set up. It has a global satellite tech so it syncs as soon as you turn on and the time and date will always be accurate.

I do not write reviews unless a product really blows me or away or is junk. This clock was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I wanted a digital clock that could be seen from anywhere in the living/dining room. I do not care for the garish look of LED digital alarm clocks, I wanted something more stylish and modern. It gives lots of information on the screen and is easy to read even with my vision. My doctor says I have 20/20 with my glasses on but most digital LCD clocks are too hard to read depending on light or distance from you. This clock has excellent auto dimming capabilities for Day/Night and easily seen from across the room. I have it hanging just above my big screen TV and love it! I was worried this would be much smaller than in the photos, It is the perfect size to even sit on a tabletop without taking up too much room. While large enough to display all the information onscreen while being visible from a distance, and at any light.

The product did exactly what the manufacturer said it would do. Regarding gifting, if the individual you want to give this to, without set up support from any one, has dementia or difficulty understanding, don't gift. Buy it, then go set it up for the person. Value, worth every penny. My parent likes it when they forget the date/time or day. For a person with limited vision remember to set close to where they usually sit or spend their time. I do have to point it out to my parent that the clock will tell you the date/time. Very easy to set up and use.

We got this for my 90 year old mother whose eyesight is failing. She can't read her clocks, paper calendars or TV screens and became quite often unaware of times, dates and days of the week. The large display, choices of light colors and auto dim have helped her - and us - a lot!

The information display is wonderful. It delivers the information about the day, date, time and time period of the day.clearly and without ambiguity. It is large enough to be easily read without being too big. The one and only negative is the "wooden" frame. It is a wood print on plastic and is not at all convincing. It's a shame too because it detracts from the overall appearance of the clock. My wife loves the clock. It delivers the time/date information that she needs to stay oriented. We can't ask for more than that.

Mom could never keep the days straight. She'd take a nap in the afternoon and wake up later the same day and think it was the next day. She never remembers to update her clocks for daylight savings and her phone and DVR clocks are too small to read. This was a great solve. She has it right below her tv and relies on it daily. UPDATE: We actually bought a second clock since she spends a lot of time in her living room and her dining room. She was constantly forgetting to bring the clock with her when she changed rooms! Would love a smaller one for her bedroom!
