I am not an A/C expert or even experienced in A/C systems diagnosis and recharging. The gauges were easy to assemble and use. The gauges are in Celsius as others have commented. The gauges come with everything needed for R-134a systems except the can tap, and the kit included an adapter to go from gauge set to the can tap that I purchased seperately (I purchased my R-134a can tap locally, but it is similar to the taps offered on Amazon by WINOMO or the Interdynamics DV-134). The gauge hose fit to the low side of an R-12 system with the R-134a quick coupler removed, but would require an adapter for the high side which I did not need or look into as I was only using it to fill one can into an old truck. I bought a Robinair 10102 side can tap for the R-12 can which worked well and had two different sized fittings, one of which was sized tor the gauges yellow hose which just screwed on and the other fitting on the Robinair side can tap accepts the adapter included in this kit if you wanted to do that for no reason and then screw the yellow hose to the adapter. So for R-12 system the gauges hose connections for the yellow and blue hoses screwed directly on the can tap fitting and the low side fitting in the vehicle. For the R-134a system the provided quick couplers in the kit fit on the high and low connections at the vehicle and the provided adapter in the kit fit to the can tap. The gauges worked properly for the two vehicles that I worked on today and altogether the quality appears to be average or acceptable. With this OrionMotorTech gauge set you can accurately see what is going on for an R-134a system (not for R-12 without the additional purchase of a high side adapter). These gauges are MUCH better for filling R-134a system than the R-134a refrigerant can with a one piece cheap gauge and short hose that is sold to fill systems. Those have always been frustratingly inaccurate in my experience and I think that they are worthless. As far as knowing what you are doing for the diagnosis and fill, accurate information on checking/filling and gauge pressure readings on the internet is not easily found, but this helped me: vehicleairconservices /page/gauge_readings . Start with the vehicle on and A/C off and use the associated pressure chart, I believe that this checks the system overall fill pressure and if it is low overall, probably needs a recharge. Then turn A/C on max with windows down and run vehicle to normal operating temp and use the A/C on chart. There is also some basic diagnosis info included. Use all of this information at your own risk. I’m not an expert as already stated, very much a novice on A/C systems, but I am a graduate level backyard mechanic. Good value for the money in my opinion.

This is a really nice set for home and shade tree mechanics. What sets this apart from others is that it has all the adapters and quality parts you will need. Very well made hoses, gages, connectors. NOTE: The one thing you will need add is a the little brass "AC refrigerant tap valve" (anywhere from $4 to $9) for those 12 or 20 oz cans of refrigerant from the auto or grocery store, if you use those instead of a big tank.

I only have one R-22 system left on my rental properties and I did not want to use my R-410A Yellow Jacket gauges on a R-22 system so I bought this low priced gauge set. I was impressed by the quality of the set and all the extras that came with it. I topped off the R-22 system and it is working as it should now, no more freeze ups.

Good set of gauges, didn't leak or anything and was able to recharge the system

I'm not a professional, I got these to do my own cars' air conditioning lines, and occasionally friends' cars. I can't say how they would hold up to heavy use but they've served me well so far. Great value if you want to save money by repairing your auto AC yourself.

This helped me properly recharge my AC connected to a vacuum pump. Just make sure you follow the proper instructions for your vehicle to do it safely. I wish it came with a can tap for refrigerant since I had a hard time finding one where I live but my bad for not reading the description.

This set of gauges can only be used with freezers and refrigerators the temperature on the gauges is too low for any car a/c or house A/C to operate . It can’t be used to charge air conditioners or Car A/C system . The product is good quality .

They work good, can be a pain to get off the high pressure side. Allowing the pressure to equalize after turning off and removing at lower pressure is much easier.

would be better with longer hoses but overall okay. The quick connects appear to be stuck in the release position however they do lock by just pushing them on.

They do exactly what they are supposed to do
