I originally planned to get this to replace my lightweight junk tripod that I use for light jobs - like supporting a cell phone. LOL. So the weight is very important. Unfortunately this thing is 10oz heavier than my junk one, but it's 10oz lighter than my Manfrotto. With that said, however, I was very impressed by the quality of this tripod, at this weight level it's very easy to haul around. I also love the hook underneath so that I can hook my camera bag onto it, which my manfrotto doesn't have. so no matter how sturdy it is, in the wind, forget it. Adding a 10lb bag underneath will make a big difference. I also love the flexibility of the feet for uneven surfaces. The only concern I have is the stability of the center rod when it's full out, it's plastic and doesn't feel very sturdy. In my photo, I had a moderate weight/size wide angle lens in my setup, but I wouldn't mount a telephoto lens + a full frame DSLR body on top of this. But then again, no one should ever mount $10K camera set up on a $40 tripod. For the price, this tripod is excellent.

Absolutely love this item! Spend a little more to buy this (I was comparing it to something cheaper) and you won’t regret it!! This piece came so fast and is exactly what I wanted. So sturdy that my son referred to it as a “tripod from world of the Warcraft” lol the adjustments are easy to learn. I got this so I can start being in my pictures with my family. Can’t wait to use it on our trip next week!

I purchased this tripod for my SLR and Camcorder. It's pretty standard, and works as you would expect. It's heavier, which is good. It comes with a nylon case, which is a bonus. It's range of motion is good. Don't expect fluid head performance, it's all made of plastic, but in this price range, it is of better quality. I really like the feet on this tripod, they are sturdy, and will work well indoors, or outdoors. My only real complaint is the tripod leg spread is a tad narrow. I wish it had adjustments for that. Overall, this is a pretty good tripod for under $50. It's way better than what you would purchase at a big box store, and it looks pretty good with that orange finish.

This was my first "real" tripod I've ever purchased to use with my Nikon d5500 - and I am thoroughly impressed. This tripod is high quality, sturdy, and well built. When the legs and center column are fully extended, the top of the tripod hits me at about chin height (I'm 5'4"). There are lots of knobs and different, small adjustable mechanisms that make it slightly less user friendly than my old tripod - but exponentially more accurate and precise. I bought this in yellow and I love the color. I would recommend this to a friend. Thank you!

I really hate tripods in general. They are bulky, heavy to used when hiking and climbing. On top of that most of the time they are not the best quality, or costa small fortune. I am going on a trip where I would need a tripod, and had not been able to locate the one I paid a small fortune for, and did not want to spend more for a decent new one that I was paying for my trip. I was was looking and found this one on Amazon, and was like well if it is junk I will just return it. It was WAY better than I expected for the price, and may not have all the features that the $300 ones have, but it is close enough for me. It is lightweight and you can barely notice it when attached to my climbing pack. it is strong enough to hold my camera, which is probably well over the weight limit they suggest for the tripod. Happy with the price and the quality is exceptional!

I have been looking for a tripod for a while and finally go with this one. I am so glad I made this decision. This is tripod is perfect to me. The best part is its compact size and light weight. It is very easy to carry around without taking too much space. I like to take it with me for camping or hiking. Meanwhile the this tripod is very well build. When stretching or moving some parts, the movement feels solid and smooth. As a tripod, all parts I can think of can be adjusted. The legs are padded; the camera can tilt to 90 degree; the level indicator shows me if I am perfectly even etc. For 45 bucks, I cannot think of a better deal. I like it very much

I've had a few cheap, flimsy tripods in the past but this one is definitely a better quality! It is very sturdy and I feel good knowing my camera is safe. The different lengths are very versatile and I love the eye-catching blue color. I like that it has the option to rotate the mount to have the camera shoot in both vertical and horizontal. This was a deciding factor in purchasing this item. The tripod has a bit of a weight to it but it's very portable and easy to carry. It even comes with a cute carrying bag! The price is definitely worth the investment in having a reliable tripod. I would definitely this product!

Recently purchased both the Mactrem PT55 (Full Size) and the Mactrem MT21 (table top sized) tripods. These tripods FEEL good, that is the best way to describe them. Lightweight, but sturdy. I bought the PT55 first and upon receiving it, decided to get the MT21 also. I can see situations where the smaller MT21 will have advantages....especially when camping. I don't have a DSLR and use GoPros so I can not comment on them; others have and the reviews are good. Each comes with a nice carrying case.

I am a hobbyist photographer. I own two Cameras, a Canon T2i and Canon M. I have never bought any high end equipment. But this tripod does give my Cameras some professional look and feel! I have a set of Targus lightweight tripod, I owned it for almost 10 years now. It is extremely light and portable. However it is too light, i feel like my older T2i will fall when I shoot outdoor in a windy condition. But this Mactrem seems to solve this issue fairly well. The Mactrem and Targus have a similar leg extension mechanism. Flip the clip loose, extend the leg and lock it. Even thought they works the same way, the Mactrem is much more sturdy. It may not be a fair compare though. Since Mactrem's size is larger, with thicker legs and bigger clip, which should make the tripod hold and stand better. Just want to mention, Mactrem's leg can be locked, while Targus couldn't. The lock does give me peace of mind when I need to walk away from it. I have used Mactrem for couple times already. It does perform pretty well. Easy to setup and does not shake as much as my Targus. The tilt handle move pretty smooth too. The overall experience is great. I will still keep my Targus though. Somehow it is lighter and smaller, it can be stuffed it into my camera bag. I am very happy with my new Tripod. It is really inexpensive, still looks handsome and professional. also it seems to be durable and should last for a long time. When I am not using it, I will share it with my 'future YouTuber' daughters. Yes, they are using it to shoot their slime videos.

This product seems very well made and overall incredibly sturdy (the blue is gorgeous, too). It easily holds my a6300. Fully extended put this tripod at a comfortable height for me to use the viewfinder and I'm roughly 5'7. I really like the swivel feet which should be perfect to adjust to most ground surfaces and the legs are easy to extend and lock into place. The quick release attachment is easy and secure and the hook to weight it down is a nice feature. I'm incredibly excited for better weather and clearer skies to do some night photography to really test this out!
