I was hesitant to buy a battery powered hedge trimmer, but from the reviews I took a chance. I am very happy with the performance of the trimmer. It went through 3/4" branches that my old corded trimmer would not handle. No cord to cut! (in 40+ years of home ownership, I have cut plenty of cords). It was not too heavy to use effectively. Obviously, a commercial grade gas powered trimmer would be stronger and quicker, but for a home owner, the B&D 60v trimmer fits the bill and much less expensive. I am very pleased. One item that I wish it had is a "constant on" switch. I also found that the "saw" at the tip of the trimmer bar was not really useful. Didn't hurt anything, but if you are going through more than 3/4" branches on shrubs, you need to rethink the size of hedge trimmer you need.

Great price and functionality.

My B&D LHT360 hedge trimmer works great. I have a 1/4 acre yard landscaped with a number of bushes and plants that need trimming. I was concerned that the 60 volt battery wouldn't allow me to finish my trimming without a recharge but no problem. The trimmer doesn't have the power of my gas powered unit but it is lighter, better balanced and most importantly I don't have to inhale the exhaust fumes nor wash my body and clothes when I finish my work. In short, after doing my yard a couple of times, I'm very satisfied with this product. The trimmer is well made and priced very competitively when compared to other models and makes.

This trimmer is fantastic--best yard tool I own

We do a lot of gardening in our overgrown yard, and I took a chance paying much more on this unit instead of cheaper corded or cordless ones. Now, after using it all over our yard on some pretty large, overgrown shrubs, I am so glad that I paid more for this powerful, cordless model. It works like a charm. Hasn't gotten stuck once on any good-sized branches. Mows through thick shrubs like butter. Very easy to operate and use. Worth every penny. (I think I'll carry on with this trend and get the Black & Decker heavy duty blower with the same battery; power is addictive....)

Pleasantly Surprised!!

I was skeptical at first in ordering this product - always lots of claims of how great these cordless units are. I was going to try the 40 volt unit but I thought I would try this 60 volt unit (it had no reviews) with the thought that I would probably have to return it but I have been pleasantly surprised. After using this model several times now it works just great. It has lots of power, cuts smoothly, meets the claim that it can cut through branches that are over an inch in diameter with ease, not heavy to use after a couple of hours of trimming. So far it has exceeded my expectations. The only item I find that in power mode it takes a little time to cut through a thick branch. Hope others find this useful.

Works like a Champ!

I love this yard tool, bought it a year ago, Used it and recharged maybe once, then hung it up for the winter. Unlike other rechargeables, I got it out today and went to work on my most overgrown bush. Had enough battery to trim the whole thing plus All the other shrubs. Finished, put it on the charger and in about an hour was fully charged again! An amazing effective yard tool that delivers it All! Well worth the investment!

Very powerful, not exactly "lightweight" but due to the balance of the battery and the blade, it feels easier to wield than it would seem. I'm very pleased with it, but grabbed a spare battery just in case the capacity wasn't quite enough to get the whole yard done in one

Man, it cuts through bushes like they were butter! I even used the saw feature and it worked fantastically. I love this thing. The best part is that I no longer have to lug a cord around, and the battery was still half-charged when I finished.
