Headlight Polarity Problem (Solved)

The lights I installed into my 2003 Honda Accord work great. The problem at first is the headlights wouldn’t turn on. Knowing LEDs they need the right polarity meaning +/- needed to be switched. What needed to happen was I shaved off the locking tab on the outside in order to switch it around. The Accord especially is great for reflection for high beams since the inner headlights are smooth so they won’t give any weird refractions. I will be back to review the lifetime warrenty of how long they last... hopefully never.

Best money I've ever spent money!

First, I read all the reviews on these and several others. To that I will say, read the instructions that come with these BEFORE you start messing with your lights. The print is tiny in the manual, but just do it and save yourself frustration because it tells you exactly what to do in the event the fastener ring on your old lights doesn't fit over the bottom of the LED, (the LED light can be taken apart and it will fit from the top), also check the clearance between the back of your headlight and anything else in the vehicle to make sure you have enough room. On one side I had plenty, but the other it was very tight. First Photo: left is my old headlight on low beam, the right is the LED on low beam. Second Photo: Top is my old lights on HIGH Beams, bottom is the LED on low beam. There's no comparison! I installed these on a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan. What I started with were horrible headlights and the lenses are fairly scratched as well. We've got maybe 1 year left of having to use this van as a daily driver so I wasn't about to replace both headlights in their total. These LED lights are truly plug and play. The van has reflector headlights (not projector) and they are still insanely bright. As another review says, I am one of THOSE people on the road and I don't care a single bit because I can finally see the road! Excellent visibility in the rain as well. Signs will light up 50 yards before you reach them and for us the road is lit about 20 ft in front of the van. The High Beams offer more concentrated light in the middle of the road in my case, but they aren't brighter than the low beams so I haven't had a reason to use them. I prefer the bright white light of these LED's to traditional headlights as well. We've been using them for over a month with no issues.

Nice quality, easy to install

This is the second bulb I purchased. Compared to the other one, it was so easy to install it. The quality of light is great. Although the glasess of my 02 Camry are foggy, the light is great (see the pics). I hope they work long enough too.

HID Performance, with long life, no need for special tools.

White light, when I hit the lights on my Civic, I get that same blast of white light that had in an Audi several years ago. The manual gives some tips on installing, which I'll explain in plain language here: The bulb comes with a little rubber band around it. Pull it off or cut it, and it will fit in your assembly. Once you have it plugged in, make sure it works before you put the bulb securely in the assembly. If it doesn't work, just unplug the bulb and turn the "socket" upside down. The hardest part of the installation is knowing how to remove the bulb you already have, so when you see a video showing you how to do it, pay careful attention to the technician's hands. This headlight is brighter and whiter than the standard bulbs, and requires no adapters or anything like that. One last thing: The LED does have a fan. You can hear it--if you have the engine off and put your ears right up to the hood of the car.

WARNING: These lamps will make you become "that guy".

My one complaint on these is that I am now "that guy" on the road. You know "that guy" with the extremely bright lights that blinds all incoming traffic without trying. Yes, that guy that illuminates the road so well that it is visible for miles that he has aftermarket headlights. Seriously, I am now "that guy" that makes the hillbillies in jacked up trucks upset because my two little headlights are brighter than their roof mounted spot light. What is surprising is that as bright as these lights are, I have yet to be pulled over by a cop. What really makes these lights so bright is that they are closer to daylight quality instead of the gloomy yellow tint of normal headlights. The shift has been great as street signs now reflect at a about a half mile and the reflective side stickers on cop cars glow like a small scale nuclear bomb. I can now identity speed traps before the radar squirting pukes can get a reading on my car. With these lights, I am so much more confident that I told my boss I need a promotion and told my wife we need another kid. I am proud to be "that guy" with the super bright lights.

If you have a 1999 to 2001 Dodge 1500, 2500 or 3500, these LED lights will work. They are essentially plug 'n play. They also come with a long pigtail which makes electrical connections easy.The rubber "O" ring is a little tight so I just wiped 'em with WD-40 (don't get on the LED bulb) and they pushed right in. They are very bright and made a big difference. They claim to have a 30,000 TBF (Time Before Failure). I haven't had them that long to know... but right out of the gate (so-to-speak) I'm very happy about the quality and am very satisfied. Great product. Excellent price. Fast shipping. Thanks Amazon!
