Good quality, works fine.

Got this to go with Junior metal detector for our grandson. A bit pricy due to the brand name. This is made of good quality plastic material and worked well at the beach this summer. I'm tempted to subtract a star because the trowel is two pieces connected by a screw that rusts almost immediately. How much more would it cost to use a stainless screw?

Perfect for the beach!

This sifter was surprisingly durable. We used it in both dry and damp sand and it sifted really well. The holes are a nice size, small but certainly not too small. You'll catch all of the coins and rings and bottle tops and car keys! The trowel is just icing on the cake, it easily broke up heavy sand and mildly packed dirt. Obviously the plastic is a plus when metal detecting and the open handle fit perfectly on my back pocket. If you are searching sandy areas, look no further than this set.

Handle broke off BUT.....

The handle broke off of my trowel the first day I had it (I was using it rough, new to this) but I was prepared to buy another one as it wasn't that expensive and the product seemed great. However, National Geographic offered to send me a new replacement free of charge. Very awesome customer service!

NOT FOR USE IN HARD-PACKED DIRT! This works great in sand (beach or outdoor volleyball court) but not in the yard or other packed terrain. Can't wait to hit the beach this summer with my metal detector!

It should work just fine.

I have an expensive metal sifter. Bought this for my Wife for a club beach hunt. She doesn't hunt very much and didn't want an expensive sifter. When it arrived I was surprised at how substantial it looked and felt. It should work just fine.

Good quality, Great for the price and a good beginner scoop.

Great product for the money. I see metal scoops cost anywhere from $35-$185 and the lower end seems very cheap that won't last. This will do the job until I'm ready for an upgrade. Perfect world, my findings will pay for it lol. Good purchase.

Very cool tools for beach use

The two kits I bought complement the metal detectors I bought my grand kids who live in Virginia. They will be able to do some real treasure hunting when they go to the beach this Spring. They were really excited about the combo scoop and shovel.

Plastic sifter, sifts and sorts various materials

Solid product. We will see how it holds up to scooping wet sand. I bought this for collecting sand crabs to use as bait for shore fishing.
