I got this item the beginning of February, have had it about 29 days now. I have seriously enjoyed having it. It truly works as described. They aren't loud on the highest setting for us, but they keep the air in our basement room circulating and cool, which is what we needed. They also take up MINIMUM ROOM!! SPACE IS A VALUABLE REAL ESTATE in our room, and this fits the bill. It also oscillates real well, and covers the entire span we need it to. It is also affordable than most. Say goodbye to huge fans. Honestly 2 still takes up room than circular fans with stands. Update 5/20/2019: IT WORKS WONDERS!! I truly recommend this to absolutely anyone that does NOT have a ton of floor space but still wants a powerful fan. It has cut down tremendously on electric bill, and circulates air spectacularly. It is making us feel even more comfortable. And with our ceiling fan it works great so we do not need to turn air conditioning on until it goes above 80°F. (and we live in basement room with no windows that are able to be opened) And with air conditioning it circulates air splendidly and it is keeping our house so much cooler during these warmer days that we have been having.

To begin with, no fan is a substitute of an AC system, those that use one need to understand thermodynamics, AC units remove the heat from the room and have super-cooling methods that wouldn't be used in a fan. To get air OUT of a room, you need an exit, an open door, window, etc. I use mine in support of our AC unit, which is all the way in the living room (and struggles to reach my room). Fans are mainly intended to keep the air circulating, but by doing so also slightly (but noticeably in enclosed environments, far more than in open) increase the temperature as a byproduct. However, fans do make it more bearable, and make a significant difference when centered onto the person in question. It's a rather quiet, and tall fan, as opposed to the arguably much stronger, less efficient, and louder box fan that I used to have. This fan does rotate, has multiple settings including ones (that at the lower levels) are little more than white noise, meaning it can be used to give a slight cooling sensation, without being overwhelming, while also staying just loud enough to drown out the disturbances of the night, an owl hooting at an odd hour, birds flying around, etc. Is it perfect, no, in my case my bed happens to be too tall (which I had just set up a day prior to receiving the fan) to make the full use of the fan at night, however the white noise helps with sleeping, and it still does keep a good deal of the heat off at night. I would recommend it to someone who understood what they were looking for in a fan, and what they would be getting. If you are looking for a fan, not an AC unit, this is something that I would recommend.

Outstanding! Mrs. Wingnut needs a fan blowing on her at night to sleep well. No, the ceiling fan on high isn't enough. We were using existing fans we owned, but both of them died recently. Both were around fifteen years old or older. We had never used a tower fan such as this design, but were willing to take a chance. Eight speeds! VERY quiet at lower speeds, yet still not as loud as the old nine inch diameter fans were at the highest speed. The bright blue power light on top of this model is indeed dimmable and can be turned off while the fan is running. You can choose to oscillate or not. For Mrs. Wingnut's sleeping purposes, this fan gets set to highest speed and the power light turned off. One thing we hadn't anticipated that is a big plus - we had to use a small table to elevate the old fans high enough off the floor. The base already elevates this thing a bit and the rest of the height takes it up high enough for her needs. Awesome! Small footprint!!!

I love the settings on this fan. They aren't simply 1,2,3 and oscillate. It even has a timer if you want to fall asleep with a nice breeze. I like the white noise setting but all settings apart from the top power setting are very quiet. Even when I am six feet away sitting on my couch I can easily feel the breeze on a lower setting. Also the assembly takes maybe 3 minutes, it's super easy.

I hate the heat! I dislike Summer. Fans have been a NECESSITY for me ALL my life. At @ 7 weeks short of 70... I'm qualified to give an opinion. This is the best combination of Breeze vs. Noise I've ever had. It's 6/13/17; it's 94 (NINETY FOUR!) degrees outside my NJ condo & I'm coping. In a recliner in gym shorts with fan on 6th of 8 settings is great... Much better than I had hoped. I chose it (1) because of other reviews & (2) the Brand Name HONEYWELL. UPDATE : Now it's Oct 7th and I haven't changed my mind. Got me thru the summer in fine fashion. I'll say it again : "This is the best combination of Breeze vs. Noise I've ever had."

This fan is amazing! I purchased it a year ago when I lived with someone who got colder very easily, so turning on the ac a lot was out of the question. As someone who runs warm, this fan was a lifesaver. It does have a slight hum to it. When it's turned on, there's a noticeable blue light in the room coming off the top. It oscillates perfectly and you can feel the difference in the settings. It is keeping me cool today when its 80 outside and I don't have air yet in my new apartment. Made it possible to sleep last night. I love this fan and always have enjoyed Honeywells. (They have gotten me through many band camps in high school!)

It was so hot in my apartment this summer as well as noisy from nearby construction, I purchased this air tower to address both issues and I was not disappointed. It is well made and a credit to the old Honeywell name. It was a snap, no pun intended, to assemble. I look the positioning of all the buttons that are easy to read at that angle (you won't have to lean down). It moves the air well at almost all settings. The upper range does impact my suburb hearing at night, so I keep it low at night to sleep and high during the day. I recommend it highly. Thank you Honeywell. Thank you Amazon.

There are areas around my home both inside and out that do not get air circulation such as in the breakfast nook. We chose not to install a ceiling fan because our food would get cold. This Honeywell Tower Fan is the best to circulate air both in oscillation mode and in direct air flow to all who sit around our table. Also we use it outside on our lanai in the summer while we sit outside because here in Florida, it gets pretty hot. Of course, if we didn't have a pool and used this in between taking dips in the pool, there is NO FAN powerful enough to cool you when it is in the 90's and the humidity is the same! But this fan gives a nice breeze and helps to evaporate any perspiration on your skin which cools you off! I would recommend this to everyone! It has quiet settings as well. It's the best!

This is a solid fan. We bought this fan because it comes with the base that gives it extra height, which we were looking for in our bedroom. The remote is a good feature, although it would be great if future versions had a higher quality (or an app for your phone) so you could control the fan without being in the line-of-sight. The fan has many speed settings (I think 8?) ranging from super quiet to very loud/forceful air. The temperature in the bedroom area of our house has been reduced by as much as 8-10 degrees as a result of having this fan - a super great consideration here in the Pacific Northwest, where homes are built without a/c!
