I like the overall performance of my new GPS system. A copious amount of new technology has been added over the last decade. For instance, I do not have to know the address of a public venue. I can input the name of my destination and the system gives me a list of addresses. I now proceed to an unfamiliar destination with an elevated sense of confidence.

I own several larger Garmin GPS models, but this one goes to portrait mode which allows me to use it on the vent to the left of the steering wheel. It is about the size of an IPhone 8 Plus. It is fast, very very loud (a good thing), and so far accurate. If you link it to your phone via Bluetooth has additional useful features such as traffic and the ability to become a speaker phone.

I purchased this GPS for my 2009 Ford F-150. I had researched GPSs and this Garmin, for the price point, is the best value I have found. The voice recognition works well. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the search feature scans local addresses first. It would be great if it would search wherever you state. That being said, this is a great after market GPS.

This navigation system is good and gives good directions and ques towards direction. Do not bother trying to use the Voice Command to try and input an address or location, unless you speak extremely clearly or have half an hour to pan through the various locations it will provide for you. Over all I was satisfied using it around town and for a small road trip so far.

I have always used Garmins but this one is the absolute best we have used.

Bought this unit for my wife's car which did not have a nav system in it. Also bought the traffic cord (no subscription necessary - just plug it in). Played with it and used it locally to go to the supermarket, doctor, etc. and it worked great every time. Shows traffic on the map where appropriate. Attaches to the windshield with a suction cup - didn't believe that would work very well but was pleasantly surprised by how well it holds. Big PLUS in my opinion. Traffic cord replaces the charging cord and when you plug it in to the cigarette lighter in the car, it powers both itself and the unit. One thing you have to remember, though, is the little module encased in this cord, up near where it connects to the unit, must have a clear view of the satellite to update traffic. At this point, I bent a large paperclip and put it over the cord to retain the module up on the dash under the windshield. Haven't figured out a better retainer yet, but I'm thinking about how I can clip it to something on the top of the dash, like the little storage compartment there with a hinged door. I still consider this a really good unit at a very good price. Haven't used voice recognition yet, but it is easy to use without it. My wife wanted the computer voice changed, and that is easily done in the settings. The address entry is a bit different than my other car with a Ford Nav system, so it can be a bit confusing to keep the systems separate, but that's not a criticism of the Garmin at all. Overall, I'm impressed with Garmin's quality and operation.

My old Garmin GPS I just want to through out the window sometimes but this one learns me and I can speak to it and the driving and traffic alerts are AWSOME!!! I love this one! I can call my wife and talk to her via Bluetooth with this thing and that is also AWSOME!!! I did get this reconditioned and everything works great after the reconditioning so I do recommend this GPS. What a great buy!

Best one yet. I've had four Garmin gps and they all worked just fine , But this takes it to a new level of hands free. useing voice commands make it nice while traveling.

This is awesome if you travel a lot. I used to use my phone for gps, but this is better. Beware to buy this one only, the ones without wifi are completely useless unless you have a computer and several hours you'd like to be angry.

This was a big step up from my 10 year old, never-updated TomTom, which was the base model. I like the wide screen and the visual presentation. Sharp and easy to understand, though sometimes it suggests a route that I wouldn't have predicted. Perhaps it's logic is different from my old unit, and different from my brain as well. I also like that it switches to night mode automatically. My favorite feature is the voice-activated commands. The device does a pretty good job, though it sometimes requires repeating the desired place name to understand what I'm saying. It does better when there is no background road noise, radio, etc. I do like the lifetime updates. I never updated my old GPS because it was still accurate 95% of the time, and it would have cost some money to get updated maps. Later, I couldn't get updates even if I wanted them, because it was so old it was no longer supported. I haven't used the traffic feature yet because I don't have a cell phone to link it to. I'm thinking about getting a traffic receiver cable for that purpose.
