- Washer in the set - ability to adjust the angle of screwing in the extender.
- Threads made with dedicated tool - perfect accuracy and repeatability.
- Exhaust gas inlet hole 4 mm.
- In extreme situations narrowing of the inlet hole prevents motor failure (driving at high speed)
- Polished front surfaces enabling perfect tightening

Worked on a 2012 Ford Focus SE
The check engine light started to intermittently come on, on the 2012 Ford Focus SE after it reached approximately 120k miles. I did some research and gave the vehicle a decent tune-up changing the air filter, cleaning the mass air flow sensor, and changing the spark plugs. Unfortunately, the light would still come on from time to time then began to just stay on. I changed the upstream O2 sensor but after time the check engine light still came on. I finally decided on this option and it has worked great. I installed this on the downstram O2 sensor position and had to install it without the copper washer to enable the elbow to point towards the front of the vehicle so that I could keep the sensor able to be screwed into the adapter. It worked fine.

No check engine light
Installed test pipes on my G35, used 2 of these extenders and have not got a check engine light since the install. Had to use additional washers to get desired angle for the O2 sensor. Quality part.

CEL IS FINALLY GONE 03 civic
FINALLY NO CEL.. after a year of staring at the cel light.. changing 02 sensors. Its finally gone and I'm lovin it. Went ahead and got rid of my cat with DC sport 421. And this to top it off. No more bogging down. Getting full throttle response for ten bucks cant beat it. Fit perfectly on my em2 angle wise. Very clean and showed up in 2 days and no I didnt ask for that. I was told almost 2 weeks šš

It fixed my P0420 code/1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3L
I had a P0420 code on my 1999 Chevrolet Silverado for the past 5 years. I had replaced my stock catalytic converters to Magnaflow High Flow Cats and the extra flow was triggering my 02 sensors to turn on my check engine light. I installed the extender on the Bank 1 side of the engine. I was lucky because the angle of where the 02 sensor bung was the extender did not have any interference. I did have to remove the supplied spacer and install it as is. It would leave it at an angle that had no clearance for the O2 sensor. Since the install, the check engine light has not returned after clearing the code. At first it did not work because I had installed it on the wrong side. I had confused Bank 1 as being on the passenger side for my truck. I had mistakenly labeled that side because I thought the number one cyclinder was there. After rechecking my steps I corrected my error and installed it on the correct driver side. If the code was P0430 then that would be on the passenger side (Bank 2) Every engine is different, make sure before you install the 02 sensor extender that you correctly labeled what side Bank 1/ Cylinder 1 is on your vehicles engine. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work right away. It might take a cycle or two before everything starts working right. I was lucky that this particular extender was able to work with my setup. You might need to test a couple of them to find the correct ones for your vehicle. I really did not expect it to work so well.

DIDN'T WORK THEN....THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OUT!
Had a check engine light on, OBD showed PO420 error codes so replaced both O2 sensors but check engine light came back on after about 30 miles driving. Bought this extender and it installed in minutes, had to remove the included washer, with the washer the end of the extender pointed directly at the bottom of the car's underside, no room to install the sensor, without the washer the extender and sensor parallel the exhaust pipe. Not the best position as the sensors wires were only an inch from the hot exhaust pipe but that's as far as the extender would turn. I wrapped the wires with electrical tape, may add a metal shield later. I erased the error codes and the check engine light went off. Drove for 30 miles and the light came back on! Damn did I just waste $10.00? Continued driving with the check engine light on and a day later the check engine light went off by itself!! Holy mackerel does this thing actually work, wasted no time driving to an inspection station and voila the car passed inspection. Couple hundred miles later the check engine light is still off so 5 stars to this product. The car is a Toypta Celica with 200,000 miles, the car has 2 sensors and I only used one extender on the downstream sensor, the one after the catalytic converter with the sensor pointing toward the front of the car.

Subaru xv catless headers 02 solution is here
UEL catless Headers for my 2014 Subaru threw my 2nd o2 sensor off. Tried another 90 degree extended defouler product that had a bigger hole than this product still did not help. Iām glad they made this small and the holes very tiny to trick the o2 sensor! Drove about 60 miles for the car to self clear the engine code. **** 200 Miles later got 3 check engine light codes (p0420) (p0037) (p2096). Now below threshold. So I took it back out and got a drill bit and open the smaller hole a bit bigger! Will hope date if it passes 400 miles with no check engine.

This will fix your bad catalytic converter code!
I daily drive a 2004 Acura Rsx with over 270k miles and emissions due soon. Obd2 was reading a bad cat converter but I didnt feel like dropping 250 bucks for a universal cat and then dealing with a pain in the *** home exhaust job that would include cutting, clamping and possible welding... the hardest part was getting the sensor to come off, once the sensor was off I had to grind off some of the catalytic converter material that was sticking out too far so that the part could screw all the way down! Minimal modification needed to make it fit!! In the pic you can see the material sticking out where I had to grind. You cant beat this for 10 bucks and an hour of your time!!!

Gets the job done
I had a problem with clearance with an aftermarket o2 sensor hitting the frame. This allowed me to avoid the frame and use the sensor. I have the big old GM sensors and they fit in the bore of this extension fine. The supplied copper gasket was had the sensor being tightened in the wrong place -- pointing upward, again not leaving clearance -- so I swapped it out for a thinner gasket and it pointed in the correct position for my application. Works well. Nice heavy brass piece.

2008 Prius P0420 fixed
The family prius consumes motor oil at the rate of a 70:1 two-stroke. This extender allowed the downstream O2 sensor to clear the side of the exhaust tunnel and seems to shield it from whatever condition was causing code P0420.

Review of 3 Defoulers
After installing headers on my Nissan Altima, I went through three (3) different CEL Fix Defouler O2 Spacers trying to eliminate the CEL error from my O2 sensors (one on the front header and one on the rear header). The first one is a 4 Piece Kit 90 Degree Angled O2 Check Engine Light Fix Oxygen Spacer Exhaust Extension. It's 4 piece design makes it the most versatile. Pieces can be mixed and matched to this to make just about any arrangement. The engine block was too close to the O2 sensor bung, so this large L-shaped connector would not twist on. The second one is a brass Oxygen Sensor Extender O2 90 Degree Angled Bung Extension Spacer M18 1.5. This one is the most compact. This was the only item small enough to fit. The third one is the Standard Exhaust Catalystic Converter M18x1.5 O2 Sensor Defouler. It is the only one to come with 3 Flow Inserts to adjust the gas flow. It is also the largest, which meant I was not able to use it. All of them work. The first one is the most versatile. The second one here is the most compact. The third one allows you to customize the gas flow.
