Good middle of the road cleanser
I’m 30 years old and have fought bad acne my entire life so I’ve tried many different cleansers from the super gentle ones like Cetaphil to prescription ones with harsh chemicals. This is a good middle of the road cleanser. I really feel like it does a good job getting my face clean and removing dirt and makeup (unlike Cetaphil) without drying out my face completely (like the harsh chemical ones). I typically have pretty oily skin and this does a good job of removing the oil without overdrying my skin.

Wonderful cleanser
This without a doubt is the best line of products for the skin ever created. I came by it by accident while I was clearing out a closet of medical supplies following my mother's death. Rather than toss the unopened bottles I decided to use them. Glad I did. I am a 63-year-old woman and I sware my skin feels like it once did when I was in my twenties. The products are light, non-oily and without a fragrance of their own which will not interfere with any scent, I choose to wear. I am a fan.

Great product and quality...
Estee Lauder user here and first time user of this product. I am at awe at almost 1 month of using this product because for the price I pay for compare to Estee Lauder is ridiculous...… I am loving this and I am so happy to leave my comfort zone after 20 years of using the same product because I have been given other products as gifts before but after 2 days of using them, I break out really bad! CeraVe on the other hand, so far CeraVe have been leaving my skin feeling supple, hydrated, clean, soft, and just truly amazing! I am so happy to have discovered this great products and will definitely recommend it to my families, friends, etc... Thanks, CeraVe and keep up the awesome job!!!!!!!

Best Facewash I've Ever Used
I've had bad acne for the last 6+ years of my life. I've gone through dozens of prescription medications and 2 rounds of accutane. Subsequently I've tried dozens of face washes, focusing on the more commercially available ones. However, I haven't tried a single new one since finding this. The wash is gentle and won't over dry your skin but is also still clearly rigorous enough for a deep and complete cleanse. It will strip your face of oils and given you a slightly tight feeling, which I look for as a sign of effectiveness, so should be paired with a mosturizer. However, this wash gives that perfect amount of stripping without hurting your face. I do recommend the foaming version over alternatives. No problems with scent. Pairs well with the CeraVe tub lotion!

A holy grail product for my skin
This cleanser removes makeup and dirt without any squeaky clean feeling; have used it for years and my kids (10 to 26, wide age range) and husband like it, everyone who has tried it has converted. As long as they don't reformulate I will keep buying it. Highly recommended.

Perfectly Mild for Sensitive/Acne Prone Skin
I had persistent acne from adolescence to adulthood until a Dermatologist recommended this line of Cerave products to me. I have oily skin, which reacted poorly to all of the products I had been using to control the oil and acne. This cleanser and the day and night time lotions are all I have needed to keep my skin clear and healthy looking over the last few years. Every once in awhile I exfoliate or do a mineral mask, but this cleaner simplifies my life and saves me a ton of money and embarrassment.

Works for me with no painful breakouts. Moisturize afterwards!
I read the reviews for this after I bought it and was kinda scared it would break me out. Turns out my fears were unfounded. My skin is fairly sensitive and I'm prone to ingrown hairs. Of course, YMMV, but this stuff has been working wonders for my skin, and I use it right after shaving when my skin is most sensitive. I'm not sure if the other reviewers received a bad batch, left the product on too long, or had an allergic reaction to a component within, but I have had zero issues and have nothing but good things to say about this stuff. To be on the safe side, I moisturize heavily and apply an alcohol-free aftershave as soon as I finish washing my face. I have to use a mixture of Vaseline with cocoa and either Uncle Jon's Lime Up aftershave, Lime skin food, and/or Proraso Azure Lime aftershave balm. The results speak for themselves. Using just Vaseline leaves my skin greasy, and using just an aftershave leaves my skin dry. I highly recommend Uncle Jon's Lime Up aftershave to use in conjunction with this, especially if you use this after you shave.

Gentle and effective
CeraVe cleanser is pretty much the gold standard for sensitive skin. I've tried a ton of cleanseers, oil cleansers worked well, but were always heavily fragranced and clogged my pores. Traditional cleansers got the job done, but stripped my skin. I started using this, it is fragrance free, removes even my long wear foundation, and doesn't clog my pores. It's been difficult to find the right cleanser that maintains my skins balance and CeraVe is that cleanser. It's not expensive, and the bottle is big enough to last a while so it's and excellent value.

Perfect face wash
Love this face wash. Makes my skin feel super soft. Doesn’t feel oily. It lathers nicely. Highly recommend for people with sensitive skin. My dermo in Beverly Hills Ca recommended this and I couldn’t be happier.

Been using for several years
I live in a dry, windy climate in Northwestern Washington, and my skin is already very sensitive as it is. I was prone to cystic acne before getting on a prescription Retin-A routine and using this cleanser. A couple years back, I was still buying expensive luxury-brand facial cleansers and moisturizers (Ole Henriksen, Glamglow, Clinique, etc.) and my skin was all over the place. After seeing a dermatologist, she suggested switching over to a really mild, bland drugstore lotion to moisturize my face, and Cerave was one of the brands she recommended. That's how I was turned onto this cleanser--I liked the lightweight Cerave lotion I was using so much that I decided to purchase this cleanser on a whim on a drugstore run one day. It changed everything for me. It doesn't strip the skin of moisture, and it doubles as a really effective makeup remover as well (although it doesn't remove everything, especially waterproof stuff, so you'll have to use a heavier-duty face wash or makeup remover afterwards). I loved this cleanser so much when I bought it the first time and ran out, that I purchased this JUMBO size whilst deployed last year. It was really helpful there especially, because for anyone that lives by the ocean, you probably already know that salt air REALLY does a number on your skin. I also love the price! I'm never going back to those expensive brand-name cleansers again. TL;DR--I highly recommend for anyone who has sensitive skin and/or is prone to acne. It's very gentle on the face and also doubles as an effective makeup remover.
