Canvas wrapped mdf board
These are very thin canvas boards (note not stretched canvas) They are all individually wrapped so would be great for group projects or art goodie bags at a party. Good quality- very happy with them!

Great for casual hobbyists and beginners
I'm NOT an artist. I'm just getting into acrylic painting, and didn't want to spend a lot of money on expensive stretched canvases when really I'm just playing. These are perfect. Note: they do say pre-primed, but they are easier to paint on after the application of an extra coat of gesso.

At this price, I can afford to experiment with multi mediums without worry of "wasting" a heavy duty paper.
These canvas 8" x12" panels are indeed a great value. For years now have been creating multi media collages on quality (read $$$) watercolor paper as it is sturdy and I like the "tooth" of the paper. however, as a professional artist, these works must be framed under glass if they are to be exhibited. The framing & the museum quality glass add a hefty price to my charge to sell my work. While these canvas boards lack the texture of cold pressed watercolor paper, they provide a sturdy surface & allow the media mixing (collage of papers, oil crayon, washes of watercolor) that I can then clear glaze the finished piece thus avoiding the cost of glass protection. I've only begun experimenting with them, so the super value price allows me to make "mistakes", sometimes "happy" mistakes while unintended can result in improvements overall. These may be intended for acrylic or oils, and they certainly function for a these heavier mediums, there is no reson to limit materials off choice in combination

Debunking harsh reviews.
I saw some reviews that said there's came moldy and/or warped when used. But I wanted them anyways so I took a chance and ordered them. They arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. They were individually wrapped in plastic (I recycled it) and so far I havent noticed any warping. I usually end up using quite a bit of paint when I paint with acrylics and it is still very flat. I will buy again when I need more. Great for beginners or anyone that wants to practice.

Great value!
Great product! I bought a package of these panels to do pet portraits for a local animal rescue fundraiser. They have a nice texture and really grab the paint. I wasn't using super fancy expensive paints (a mix of Liquitex and Delta) and they still glided on smoothly and covered well. Excellent value for the price, will definitely buy again.

We are having so much fun and they are so cute
I bought these to use with my kindergarten class. We are painting a Christmas picture for their parents' Christmas gift. We are having so much fun and they are so cute. I will definitely do it again next year. Before I bought these I shopped around at some local craft stores and they cost 3x the amount. They came in two days. Another teacher just ordered some to make the same gift.

Great for parties
These were exactly what we were looking for! Our local "superstore" used to carry packs of 3 but they don't anymore. Our daughter was having an art party so we needed some pocket and kid friendly canvases. This was a perfect set! They do not have hangers on the back but I knew that before buying them. Ribbons or something can easily be attached to the back for hanging or they are thin enough that they can be placed in a frame.
