Works just like the more expensive brands

I have had a whole house water filter for several years. I change the filter about every 3-4 months. Recently when I went to Home Depot to buy a filter I noticed the price had gone up significantly, so I went to Walmart. Their universal filter that fit my model was also significantly higher in price than previous filters I have bought at Home Depot. So I went on Amazon and found the Icepure Big Blue filter. It was not only at a more reasonable price, but so far it works just as well as the more expensive brands. Prior to purchasing I read other peoples reviews about it and overall it seemed like a good buy. Some others had said that the rubber end pieces were missing. This was not the case with mine. The rubber end pieces were both there. I will be purchasing more of these.

Great Filter - Fits My Culligan WH-HD200-C Perfectly!

My home and well are almost 50 years old. My well produces a lot of rust and sediment. These 3 stage filters work best in keeping the rust away from my toilets, sinks and showers. I'd hope that one day the rust would stop, but that didn't happen. So I installed a Culligan WH-HD200-C Whole House Heavy Duty 1" Inlet/Outlet Filtration System and it has served me well. If you look at my photos, you can see the rust. It builds up in only a few weeks and get worse over time. In my second photo I try to show the larger chunks of rust that get filtered out and just settle to the bottom. This is my real problem and the benefit of using this filter. These larger chunks of rust would consonantly clog up my kitchen sink and shower heads. I would lose so much pressure that I had to clean them out once a month. I install a new filter every 3 months. These Icepure are designed for the Big Blue which is the same 10" size as my Culligan. I went with the Culligan, because it has a clear container so I can see the rust build up and the connectors are made of metal. However, no matter what brand filtration system you have - if it's a 10" whole house these filters are the best. Just look for the blue ring at the top and bottom. These filters have 3 stages - all the way down to 5 microns. For most of us, that doesn't really mean much, but they do produce very clean drinkable water. Using a sediment meter, my water is 5 times cleaner than what the FDA says the maximum drinkable level can be. I get the same results with my Brita filtered pitcher. The levels are exactly the same, so I know these filters are doing a good job. All in all, great purchase. Will buy more of this brand as needed.

Worked like a charm and for half the price of going to Lowe’s you cannot beat it! Changing these out once a month is no problem at all now for a fraction of the price and excellent quality.

Way better than the OEM

I have a GE whole house filter, and for a while I was using the OEM filter. They clogged quickly, and they're rated micron level was still rather high (25 microns I believe). With these icepure filters you can tell there is a noticeable difference in water quality. I have less water stains, the water tastes better, and the filters really do last a lot longer. I highly recommend these.

Works well so far

We are on our second filter after changing the first one after 3 months. It fits our big blue housing and is easy to install. When we moved into our house the water smelled strongly of sulfur if we were gone for even half a day - this filter eliminated the smell. The filter was very black and slimy after 3 months of use so we may try changing it out more often, but we didn't notice a change in water pressure or quality.

Prices for filter inserts on my Big Blue house filter were all over the place. These were not only some of the least expensive, they also had a charcoal filter too. I had recently chlorinated my well and they took the chlorine taste out.

Fantastic Filters

These filters work great. Have used them for almost a month now and they outperform the more expensive filters you can get in the big box stores. They leave no weird taste or smell to the water and remove the strong sulfur smell in our houses well water. I will definitely be buying these again.

They work and they fit and aren’t expensive

Great water filters. They seem to do the job and the build quality seems to be up to par. I was worried about this with them being so much cheaper than the ones at the box stores. No worries though they seem to be built great and installed just like the filter units manufacturers filters. Good buy.
