Great moist heat therapy for dry eyes

My ophthalmologist suggested that I buy this particular brand eye mask for dry eyes. It is effective and relaxing. However, the heat does not last very long, maybe 5-8 minutes and you need to heat the compress a few seconds at a time after the initial 30 seconds or it gets too hot. Even so, using the mask properly is well worth the effort! I have also used the compress successfully for blocked tear ducts which turned into an eye infection. The heat, along with antibiotic drops worked wonders.

Great eye mask for Dry Eye

I've recently been diagnosed with mild to moderate dry eye. Along with the prescription Xiidra my eye doctor recommended a moist heated eye mask twice a day. Together this treatment has tremendously improved the dry eye symptoms. I put the eye mask in the microwave for 20-25 seconds and then leave it on for 10 minutes 2x a day. The eye mask helps to keep my tear ducts open to release natural tears to keep my eyes moistened. The eye mask is a great product so far. I've used it for 2 weeks now.

Soothing Treatment for Eyes

I've only used the eye compress a short time, but it is very soothing for both dry eyes and "allergy" eyes (much better than a dripping wash cloth and the effect lasts longer). I found that 15 seconds in my microwave was better than the 20-30 seconds suggested.

This is an awesome product for treating MGD. Be prepared to have blurred vision for five to ten minutes after using because it really warms up the oil in those glands.

Recommended by ophthalmologist, very comfortable, microwave well and evenly for many uses. Nice weight to provide some pressure, elastic band with velcro helps keep it in place lightly or other. Use of a thin cloth or tissue to keep skin oils off pads will extend use time.

Follow Optometrist's advice and order

Not sure how this works -- but, it helps develop tears in dry eyes. This is commercial grade and better than the one I picked up at drug store. That one popped at 20 seconds in microwave. This one has held up. Only problem is that the white gets dirty from eyelashes/mascara but can be hand washed.

Dry Eye Relief

This product far exceeded my expectations. The compress heats up quickly in the microwave (20 seconds or less) and maintains its moist heat much longer and with less mess than a washcloth. If you have trouble with dry eyes, this is a huge help. Highly recommended!

So happy I discovered this

I've been recommending this to all my patients who suffer from styes and blepharitis who don't have time to do traditional warm compresses. So happy I discovered this. This is perfect for my own dry eye. Vision will become blurry immediately following use for approximately 10 minutes due to the process of melting the bacon grease tears coming out of your meibomian glands to olive oil. Feels like a spa treatment.

Recommended by my eye doctor for dry eyes due to blocked glands in the eyelids. My eyes were so dry and scratch that I had nearly completely discontinued wearing my contact lenses. That made me so sad because I love contacts and don't like wearing glasses. My eye doctor noted that the typical RX is a warm wet wash cloth. But he said warm wet wash clothes don't retain heat for long enough to open the blocked glands. These little gems do, and they are super easy to use and reuse -- 2x/day. Pop into the microwave for 20 seconds and put directly on closed eyelids (contact removed and face washed, especially the eyelids, first). Been using for about 3 weeks and I have missed only a few couple of days. My dry eye has already greatly improved. Back to wearing contact lenses for the whole day with comfort. Very happy with product!

Who would have known this compress would be so effective......simply amazing and worth every penny!!

Awesome product. Works great. I'd never heard of one of these before until I had recurring conjunctivitis. I had been having massive eye issues for over a year and I'm happy to say that I now have two healthy eyes and this product is part of the reason why. HIGHLY RECOMMEND it....it's like a spa for your eyes. They feel amazing after doing one of these treatments.
