Easy to install
Easy to install, didnt need yellow wire as trailer plug and white works works for the brake, turn signals and backup lights. thin and flexible but just installed today, we'll see how long they last. My last set was an older model and more like a stick led than a tape but it lasted almost 8 years. Time will tell.

WORKS PERFECTLY, LOOKS GOOD, ADDED SAFETY
I was a bit hesitant to order this light bar after reading some of the other reviews. So I was pleasantly surprised to find a nicely packaged product, in excellent condition, and containing all the parts necessary for installation. In fact, the little screw-in brackets are not necessary as the 3M tape is quite sufficient to hold the bar in place. Just make sure to thoroughly clean the area where you intend to mount it with alcohol before installation. The instructions are a bit confusing as I pointed out in my rating of the seller. It is the “red” wire that needs to be spliced into the back-up light feed, rather than the “white” wire as mentioned in the instructions. The diagram in the little manual correctly shows this, but the text of the instructions is confusing in that it refers to the “white” wire, rather than stating that the “red” wire controls the “white” LED’s. The other loose wire (black) is not needed. One you get past this bit of confusion, the installation is pretty simple, and the light bar functions as intended. I mounted it on the truck bed in the space between the tailgate and the bumper. It is not quite the full width, but still looks good and does what it’s supposed to do if mounted so that it is centered in the space. Definitely worth the price as it adds a custom look as well as an additional visible safety factor.

Merchant Fantastic - Item Works Perfectly
Perfect size for my 2017 Nissan Frontier. Easy install with included instructions and plug wiring diagram. This merchant was fantastic!!! Fast communication and replacement of a faulty item. All things electronic have a failure rate, I do not deduct stars for DOA / faulty items.

Very nice LED light
Very nice LED light. It is 46" long with very bright led lights. It has a nice M3 sticky along the whole back side that hold it on very well.

Good quality lights, poor instructions
Good quality lights, but the instructions are inaccurate. It states that the red and black wires are for the high and low beams, however these are for the reverse lights. You can choose one or the other depending on how bright you want the reverse lights to be. Other than this, the lights are off good quality. Time will be the true test. The 3M application tape works well.

Increase safety and looks good
As described this item is easy to install and works great. I removed my tail gate to make it even easier. Make sure you check the turn signals are on the right side before you stick it on, I didn't and had to cut the wires and splice them to work together with the truck signals. Lights are very bright and when you hit the brakes at night even a drunk will hit his brakes, my Tacoma has LED tail lights and the night lights up when I brake. For a mid size truck the 48" is the one you need the 5' light would be to long. Full size trucks should go with the 5' kit. Another big safety feature is when you turn on the emergency flashers the entire strip flashes making you much more visible to on coming traffic. I didn't hook up the back up lights because it's more involved and my Tacoma's LED back up lights are bright enough but I may at a later date.

Looks good, great price, EZ install
EZ to install. Looks Gr8! This is how I installed my lights: I removed a tail light housing, found reverse light, connected wires to reverse light (after testing to make sure it was correct), replacing reverse light housing, cleaned area lights were to be placed with alcohol. To ensure a secure fit I recommend using a heat gun to warm the adhesive tape. If you don't have a heat gun use what I used... a hand held hair dryer. This is an easy installation.

My wife doesn't understand this mod, but I'm HAPPY!
Just installed these LEDs tonight on my 2017 Honda Ridgeline pick-up truck. They were easy to install and look terrific. They are quite bright and are sure to get that distracted driver's attention. Ridgeline G2 owners: this is thin enough to mount on the top portion of the rear bumper, right under the lip that comes down from the bed. At first I tried to install this light bar higher up on the bottom edge of the bed area, but the LEDs were barely visible under the tailgate, especially when really close. I used the truck's 7-pin trailer socket, stepping down to 5 pins with a 7-to-5 pin converter. If you don't care about illuminating the white LEDs when you are in reverse, then clip the white and yellow wires off, use a 7-to-4 pin adapter and you're done. You will have a full bar when the headlights are on, a brighter full bar when you brake, and left and right turn signals with half the bar flashing, and a full bar flashing with your hazard lights. But I wanted the reverse light feature too, which adds white LEDs to the red ones at night, and just white LEDs when the headlights are off.. As I understand the pin-out purpose on these trailer connectors, Pin 5 in a flat 5 connector is used to supply the truck's reverse light voltage, which is handy for de-energizing electric trailer brakes when backing-up. I am not a trailer guy, sorry if that is inaccurate. But it worked for me the way I expected. When I shift into reverse, the white LEDs come on. If you use the white wire/lead, the white LEDs will be brighter, which to me was preferable. I did not use the Yellow wire from the LED bar, so I cut it off. I am sure some would tell me I should have hard-wired the LED bar into the wire harness behind the 7-pin socket on the truck. I am sure that would be a superior installation strategy, but I was not too keen on cutting into the wiring of my 2-week-old truck. I can always do it later if this connector business proves to be problematic. I expect someone to steal the 7-to-5 pin converter actually. I did zip-tie it tight to the truck, so they will need a tool at least. Since this is semi-permanent, I am considering adding some silicon caulk around the connectors to reduce moisture penetration. Also, you should know that making the connection between the really thin white wire coming from the LED and pin 5 on the hitch converter was somewhat problematic. These trailer connectors are similar to what they call bullet connectors. The big box hardware store near me had 22 ga bullet connectors but they are too small for the trailer sockets. Rather than start guessing about a size to order over the internet, I went to an auto parts store and found a little 2-pin to 2-pin accessories connector ($3) in the trailer hitch section which I was able to cut and splice to the white wire. Since the pin on the little adapter was made for trailers, it fit perfectly.
