I had a family of mice living in my outdoor sunroom and in my garage. I put one of these baits in each room, and started finding dead mice. I also found a couple of dying mice, which was a bit sad to watch but ultimately had to be done. Also, I thought I had one mouse in each room but it turns out that I had a BUNCH of mice. Yuck, but that means that this bait works.

The only thing that works! I’ve tried glue traps, snap traps, poison pellets, etc. These traps work and keep the poison contained. To lure mice into the poison even better, put peanut butter into a q tip and smear it on the green poison. This drew them very quickly. Yes, the mice may die in the Wall, but they ARE gone! Before I bought these I hired an exterminator that set these boxes around my house and charged me $150.00. I buy them on Amazon and pay significantly less.

Tried a lot of different methods to keep mice out of the house during the cold Winter months. Finally tried these, and within a week mice activity dropped to zero. Since the lid is transparent I was able to put 3-different ones in my basement and finally track where the things were getting in. One of them got nibbled up (maybe 1/8 of the brick) within a day or two and so I moved the others near there and kind of blitzed whatever mice were finding their way in the house. This also allowed for finding the opening they were getting it to seal up and no more mice!

Functionally these are not much different that any other bait station. The fact, however, that the top is clear makes it easy to monitor the station for activity which in my book is what makes these a real winner.

The trick to using these is not to put them in open areas. I got no takers when I put it out in the open but when I put it in a closet or the pantry floor and shut the door they ate it up. The mice can get delirious after ingesting it and may stumble around out in the open. Too bad, my dog saw one that went a little crazy off this food and tore it apart.

been battling mice for a while, these things work great except obviously they don’t contain the mice. i have dogs but they don’t bother these.

My cat started camping out in from of the stove, staring under it with intent. Every now and then she would start scratching at the floorboard around my kitchen cabinets. This is my third year in this apartment...and, the first year with mice...a foretelling that this will be a cold and snowy winter (as promised by the Farmer's Almanac). I caught one big one with an old fashioned mousetrap. But, all the other mice are the teeny-tiny field mice that don't have enough weight to spring the trap. My building maintenance man put Decon in the crawlspace. I know it killed some because the gross stink of poisoned mice permeated my kitchen. Then, with a new cold snap, they came back. This time I went on Amazon and found this Tomcat product. Within a day, the mice were gone. But, more importantly, that poisoned-dead-mouse smell was much fainter and lasted only a short time. Tomcat will be my mouse solution going forward. Thanks!

I received the Tomcat disposable bait stations today. So this review is only mainly about my first impression of the item. Very easy to handle, just take out of the box and placed in desired area. It comes pre-filled with one block of bait. The bait station measures 3.5 inches (long) by 2.5 inches (wide), and the opening hole for the mice to enter is exactly 1 inch around. According to the box instructions: this bait station could be use horizontally and vertically. Could be use behind appliances, inside cabinets, garages, basements, and attics. Recommended to be use indoors only. This bait station is child resistant. However, it is recommend to DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT OUTDOORS OR IN AREAS ACCESSIBLE TO PETS. Many reviewers state that the bait station is sealed. Therefore, making it impossible to be refill in the future. However, I found an easy way to remove the clear top plastic off (using a knife). The clear top of the station is connected to the black base by the use of 5 hooks (2 in each side and one in the center). Just stick the knife between the clear plastic and the base, and slightly move the knife around all four sides, until all 5 clips are unhooked. Be extremely careful removing the top because the 5 hooks are made of plastic. I am attaching a few pictures to show all angles of the bait station. Whether the bait station is effective is yet to be proven in my case, because today is my first day.

We leave our southern New England apartment closed up and uninhabited from June through December of each year. Mice get into the basement, the garage, and occasionally the kitchen. We don't know if this happens mostly in the Summer, Fall, or Winter, since our absence covers parts of Summer and Winter and all of the Fall. This product kills mice. We know this because we find some completely unsocial rodents lying about in both locations, we find large portions of each block of poison devoured, and we sometimes find no current mouse activity when we're in place. In our experience, the mice poop a lot immediately around the trap. This is easy sucked up with a shop-vac and the area can be further cleaned as necessary. Our dog has shown no interest in the product but, if she did, it seems she'd have a hard time getting to the poison itself unless she chewed the plastic case apart. She lacks the attention span for that. Other reviewers have mentioned the benefit of the clear top portion of the case, which I think is a strong appeal for this product. In theory you could probably replace the half-eaten poison with a new block and so prolong the useful life of the product. But it's too disgusting after six months of visits by the mice for that to be worthwhile to me. Now I'm the one lacking the attention span. We just buy a few more and throw out the old ones. I'm moving to a less protected and therefore less expensive product for where our dog could not possibly reach. But where there are pets, other harmless animals, or children about, this product is a strong player.

It works, and fast. I found a few deceased bodies. I don't know where the rest of them went. I don't smell decomposition . In addition to those that I purchased here, I also purchased a lot at the local dollar general. I was extremely upset by the situation, so I was very aggressive in my treatment of it. I have a lot of very small dogs, so I was extremely concerned about their welfare. I did not put any of these boxes Anywhere where the dogs could get out them. I found some boxes where the mouse had just nibbled a little bit and then died right there in the clear plastic box.
