The Polar Express Train Runs Like A Charm!

I grew up playing with old-fashioned Lionel trains. They had a "Transformer", connected to the metal tracks with "Wires". Bluetooth is something that is completely NEW to me. I purchased this train set to learn about "Wireless" control of the train. I had to purchase this train set, return it, and get a replacement train set. While having to make a return was rather inconvenient, I found that Amazon.com has an easy, smooth return process. My replacement train set works great! For the price, which is lower than what Lionel charges on it's website, I'm glad that I made my purchase on Amazon.com

Very detailed train with great sounds and smoke

The shipping box was very strong, with no apparent damage. The inside retail box was also perfect. It's obvious that Lionel packs their train sets very well. The set I received was the latest Lionel offering in the Polar Express line. The train is beautifully crafted, the remote works perfectly and the sounds programmed in are very accurate and add to the experience. Finally, the price ($249.95) was very reasonable. Of course, the train ran perfectly when I set it up today to test it. I plan on purchasing additional track to make a more exciting layout that will still fit under our Christmas Tree. Thank you Nassau Hobby Center for providing a great buying experience.

Great starter set or Christmas train!

This is a great starter set or for someone looking to add the Lionel addition to their Christmas! I have been a Lionel collector for 30 years now and this is Chinese built but decent quality and detail. I bought this specifically for our Christmas tree and it’s perfect! I would recommend buying another couple of pieces of straight track (this set does come with 4 pieces) and expanding it some to make it more enjoyable! Wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again.

Definitely worth the money! My son and I love it!

It’s so easy to run my 3 year old can do it. But I also got the disappearing hobo car, another Madison car and the aquarium car... I also got him 2 bridges ( 1 trestle and 1 covered) and several other accessories. He loves it. I put a mark on the remote to where it likes to run the best at and also so my son knows not to go faster than that. It’s running on a very big tack but if you go too fast around corners the rubber tires will come off... very fun and makes lots of sounds and announcements from the movie!

If you’re looking for a train set to put around the Christmas tree, this is the one to get. Much much better quality that the Disney Lionel train set. I hadn’t to return that one. I really wanted to like the Disney set, especially because my daughter loves Mickey, but the quality was horrible. The polar express is excellent quality. It also has Bluetooth, which the Disney one didn’t. Everything works as described. Made me love Lionel trains again. Would highly recommend for Xmas tree.
