After a day of research, I finally bought this for my 3-month old son, who is wanting to sit rather than laid down. As soon as I received it, I got my son to try it and he loves it!

Gotta go with BumBO!

Gotta love the big boy (or girl) bumbo! We bought this for our 4 month old as his head/back control was pretty solid and chunky thighs were getting too thick for the one they sell for 1-3 month old kids. This is a bit bigger in the legs and wider, so you should only buy it if your infant is sitting up straight, or at least getting close to doing so, otherwise they'll just roll over to the left and right. The other nice thing about this upgraded version of the bumbo is that it has a built-in tray for kiddos to bang on / eat food off of that inserts seamlessly into the back of the bumbo when not in use. Another plus is that the softer insert can be removed for when the kid gets older/bigger, so they can use it for years.

Changed Our Lives

This really changed our lives. We started using it when our baby was about five months old. She wasn't eating solid food yet, but loved sitting at the table with us at meals, rather than being put down somewhere (read: howled throughout the meal if we put her down somewhere). We have a tall table/island in our kitchen, and full high chairs are too short, so it was wonderful that we could just put this on one of our existing chairs. I think it also helped to strengthen her core muscles, because soon she was able to push herself up to sitting on the floor, without wobbling. When she started eating solids the tray proved particularly good, since it's small enough that the food stays relatively contained when she pushes it around, and she's able to pick up food off of it easily. It is quite small around the legs, so I'm not sure she'll fit in it beyond maybe nine or ten months, but well worth it none the less.

Buy this instead of a highchair.

This makes better sense than a highchair. I have 4 kids, with the first child I got a highchair thinking “that’s what you do, it’s a baby necessity.” I didn’t know better. The reasons this make more sense than getting a highchair: Bumbo seats take up less space. They are easy to clean. There are more options of where to place the seat, like the counter for example. I’m serious. The thing travels so easily. It works as a booster for a toddler and they don’t complain feeling like a baby in a highchair. The insert helps little ones sit up nicely and feel more secure. If you’re traveling and need to do a bath, this works great in a pinch- I’ve had to do it a handful of times. It looks cuter than a highchair. I recently ordered this as gift for my nephew who loves sitting in it to play. I highly recommend these things!

Great Purchase

We wanted something for our little girl to be able to sit up in and be with us in the kitchen and around our home, but wanted it to be more than just a seat (so we didn't have to buy multiple items). We could not have known how much we would love this seat. She was a little small for it at first but fits super well in it now. We've used it just to keep her in a seat, as well as for when she eats. the tray is easy to access and easy to use, and the foam insert can be placed inside the seat once she outgrows it! it's compact, light, and very useful. It may be a bit awkward shaped to carry around, or bring to a restaurant or friends place, but you'll be so glad you did once you get there and start using it.

Great alternative and purchase.

One of the best purchases I made for my toddler when she was around 7-8 months. This is definitely a multi seat highchair and booster that comes with a detachable tray that clips to the back of the chair for easy storage purposes. The sofltly padded part of the seat can be removed once child gets big enough and inserted inside the chair to boost the height of the seat and be of convenience for your growing little ones. This highchair can also be attached to a regular dining chair and used as long as the child is always supervised, its pretty lightweight and manageable, and comes in handy for those traveling situations. This is a purchase you won't regret. Packaging was great and except for a few light scruffs and scratches this product is in great condition months later.

Easy to clean!

We purchased this to use as our primary highchair for our youngest child. Having used several products before we found that this was nice since it was space saving and easy to clean. I really like the seat overall and love that the tray stores behind the seat when not in use. It fits perfectly and securely on our dining chairs but we have not taken it on the go with us. The only thing I don't like is that the child safety belts do not stay at the point you have adjusted them to so it constantly needs to be adjusted to fit properly even when in use so that makes me a little nervous.

Easy to use and clean

I bought this seat for my, then, 4 month old baby. She was sitting on her own early so we got this seat because it would "grow" with her. We use it as a feeding seat at the dinner table and a play seat at the table as well. It fits right at the table or beside my chair with it's own tray attachment which stores nicely at the rear of the seat. The straps are easy to adjust and fit around the seat of the chair we put the seat on. My baby loves the freedom she can enjoy sitting with us, either playing with toys or enjoying a meal. The seat arrived cracked at the bottom but it has still held up and unless you turn it over and look, the crack is unnoticeable and hasn't affected the functionality of the seat.

Great feeding chairs!

I have two of these for my twins. Right now we are using them as feeding chairs. It's great that they have their own little tray since they are still too short for the table. My chunky 20lb boy quickly outgrew the insert but I love that it stores right inside the booster. It's super easy to clean and I've even just hosed it off in the shower a few times no problem. It buckles securely to a chair for feeding times and before they started eating, we used them as floor seats when they were still learning how to sit up. It's a product that can go through a few stages with your child which is a big plus in my book!

Wow! Amazing item to have. When we first received it my daughter didn’t know how to sit up but she loved sitting, this would keep her up right and she loved it. And for you mamahs trying to get some time to get things done this will do it for you, just never leave them alone on the seat always be close enough to reach them (you just never know). I got her a few suction toys and she’s entertained for ever! It’s definitely a must have. Love that there’s different colors to choose from, the tray is removable and stored within the same seat, has a belt for them to be more secure and has the option to strap it to a chair, great for traveling too, easy to clean as well. Over all great seat for your little one.
