Pro's about this kettle: The base is very wide and thin, allowing for a very quick boil Cleaning is easy enough, even with big hands I can fit inside the opening on top to clean the inside, on the couple of occassions something other than water has made it's way in. It'll do what you need it to do. Con's: removing the lit of the kettle while the water is still hot is a bit tricky as the handle is in the way, and if you just pull it stright up your likely to get blasted by very hot steam, so you have to pull it off to the side while avoiding the handle. Not too tricky, but it's worth mentioning if you're not all that dextrious.

Tea kettle

Second one I bought. Love the big bottom. My husband turn the stove on high and our teapots are always black but the big bottom keeps this one shiny. I bought one for his mother because she also cooks on high!!

Not dishwasher safe!

It is a great teapot. I hand wash it if you want to keep color intack...do not put in dishwasher, thanks hubby that I love....crap!!!!! But besides that... I still love my teapot!

Excellant Value and Nice Tea Kettle!

To tell the truth, I liked the color and the fact it was made by Mr Coffee. But all the features was excellent too! Handle stays cool, Whistle's nicely. I do make sure , per the instructions, that I empty after every use. I looked at alot of kettle, even bought one at Marshall's and returned cause handle got hot, this is a excellant kettle especially for the price. Couldn't rate Durability yet as I only have a few months.

You can't buy for gift. I promise you wii keep it so please buy 2 like I did.

Best little tea kettle ever!!! Love it!

This is such a cool tea kettle. The quality is fantastic. I love the red color. Also the trigger that opens the spout so no burnt fingers is genius!! I hated that about my other tea kettle so this one is A+++!! The price is unbeatable! Get this tea pot!!!

Pretty and Perfect!

I am so happy with this tea kettle. I love the metallic red, which matches my kitchen and pots and pans. It wipes off easily without streaking. I can hear it singing from the other room, but it isn't obnoxious enough to disturb my little puppies. It heats quickly. I can fill, heat, and pour using one hand leaving the other free to hold the tea bag string or turn the faucet. The handle is ergonomic and easy on my wrist when I pour. So happy about this purchase!

Great product

Very lightweight, nice grip handle, enough room to take the lid off without hitting your knuckles, and easy push-lever to open the spout. My previous kettle, the lever was hard to push, making the spout fly open, flinging hot water drops (had to move my hand quick). This one is MUCH better.
