Wanted to learn needle felting. This has been a great kit to get me going. The eyes are not really necessary but the wool and needles are good starters. I think it was worth the money

excellent starter kit! has everything you need to start!

the only thing missing was instructions

I wanted to test the waters on needle felting (spoiler alert, it's tedious!) and this was a perfect, very inexpensive kit to do so with. All the basics you need to get started.

I wanted finger cots, and a wooden single needle holder, and it was cheaper to buy this set than the two pieces separately. Sometimes a set is lower quality, but comparing photos, descriptions and reviews, the sets seemed to be the same items that were sold separately. Also, this was a Prime item, and the individual items were not. The set comes in a plastic organizer with adjustable compartments. Included in it are: 6 sets of eyes, gluestick (I guess to place the eyes), awl, snippers, 8 needles (1 in holder, 7 in a plastic case), wooden needle holder, and finger cots. Also included with the set are 6 colors of roving (not pictured). The roving is nice, soft, and works up well -- I had already used some, and the rest was in my basket with my stash, thus no photo of it. The photo is one of the colors, to show size. The finger cots are big enough to fit my thumb and index finger. I have large-ish hands and was concerned whether they would fit. Getting accustomed to them is another whole issue, but they fit and work. The wooden needle holder is great to hold on to and work with. Previously I had used needles without a holder, and still may for fine detail, but I do like the comfort of using a hold. I also have a plastic pen style holder, and prefer the wood, though the plastic one holds three needles so it has a place too. I would recommend this kit for those who are just starting, to get a feel for the craft of needle felting, and of course, also to those who want a few more tools on the cheap.

Great kit for beginners and even for people who have been at it a while. I've used the awl, finger cots, and handle/needles on a daily basis. The wool would be useful for practicing small things if you're just starting. The eyes are a nice addition and I'm actually using this case to organize all of my different eyes by size now. The snips need to be wiped of oil before use but mine worked fine. The only thing I'd swap out is the glue stick for a small tube of tacky glue or something similar. Overall, I'd recommend this kit to anyone who asked me how to get started with needle felting because I wish I had it when I first started. Also, I'd buy this again just for the finger cots as they're the best fit I've found.

My only complaint is that there was not gift of talent included in kit. Lol

This has been a great little set to learn needle felting with. The included wool colors have been useful for accents when making little toy animals for my child.

I purchased this to make a small needle felt project that was apart of a Christmas gift. It was just what I needed and comes with a great box that keeps everything neat and organized. The felt worked great and the selection of colors is perfect for a beginner's kit. With a quick YouTube tutorial, it's easy to get started and make an array of different creations and blend the wool if you needed a different color. I also really appreciated the tube to store the needles. The needles are really sharp and could easily see hurting myself without the proper storage. If you're looking to try something new, I highly suggest starting with this kit. It's not a huge investment and it's small enough that it can easily be stored when not in use.

I am new to needle felting and this is the kit I decided to start with, after reading many reviews of this and other kits. The needles are ok, but as a beginner, I find them very easy to break. I think thst is more my fault than the needles! The leather finger covers are a MUST!!! The foam needle block may seem cheap - I actually had large sections of this very same foam in a shipping box, but I had no idea what it could be ussed for in needle felting! I actualjy bought another felting base, but then found this is actually better for some projects. Overall, the kit is a good starter kit!
