Valued navigation device

This device has not steered us wrong. We needed to get from VA to Washington DC and every other map and online system wanted us to take the tunnel under the Chesapeake Bay. I was not comfortable doing that in a 40' class A motor home. We drove through the day before in a car on a side trip and it was tight! When I entered our destination in this Garmin, it totally took me a way that I thought might be possible on my trucker map book completely avoiding the tunnel. This GPS makes this nervous navigator enjoy the trip a whole lot more. Highly recommend.

Love this one!

I had the 760 and it went bad, they couldnt fix it without sending it in but fortunately I have bought the extended warranty from amazon, they were quick to pay me so I purchased this 770. This one is such a step above in use than the 760, it routes much better and easier. Touch screen is better than the 760 also.

Ensures you never get stuck by keeping your long load off those roads/bridges that can’t accommodate your length. Love it because it tells you what lane to be in which helps you avoid last minute lane changes. I never tow without it! Thanks Garmin!!

Internet Map Updates

Just upgraded from the 760 RV. In comparison the 770 is lighter to hold and screen presentation is sharp and clear. Great to be able to update maps without connecting the 770 to a computer and a usb cord. I’m well aware that a gps can send your motorhome down an unexpected dirt road or through downtown New York City. Before relying on raw gps directions for a planned new trip in my motorhome, I always compare the raw gps routing with google maps, aaa maps, etc. before commitment. To make sure that the Garmin 770 sends me in my planned direction I’ll add various waypoints to the trip to assure that my directions are included in the Trip Planner. Waypoints can include fuel stops, rest stops during the trip.

This GPS is awesome. It is very fast and the touch screen is as good as your I phone. it was very easy to find campgrounds buy city and state. I also really like that you can change the route if you want to travel on a certain road. I have owned 3 other GPS systems and this one is by far the best Ive used

Perfect for RV travel.

I love this GPS system. I must admit it wasn't as easy to setup as I thought. Of course, I thought I could just open up the box, plug it in and get going. Well, after I admitted to myself that might not have been the best answer, I actually got out the instructions and, to my surprise, it was pretty easy to use after I understood the rules. We used it to navigate from Texas to central California in our new RV. Just like they advertised, it showed fuel stops, RV parks, and all kinds of other points of interest along the way. It monitored my speed, compared it to the posted speed limit and let me know when I was being a bad boy. I'm sure we only scratched the surface on this unit and I'm anxious to try it again. Or, is that just an excuse to get back on the road?

Works every time and the auto update is great. This is my 4th or 5th Garmin device, I do not recall how many I have purchased. They all work great and worth the investment to get the newest version. A Good RV GPS

Great GPS and worked well so far. I input my RV's perimeters, including height and on our recent trip to Galveston, it worked well. However, the system did not warn us that Highway 290, a major freeway, was shut down completely. Not sure why.
