Good bargain thread

I use pearl cotton for big stitch quilting and have used most brands of cotton thread including DMC, precencia, valdani, finca, ruby, and HHlizbeth. Here is how LePaon compares: While the high quality threads (DMC, valdani, precencia , finca) seem more tightly wound and have a silky sheen, LA paon is slightly dull and fuzzy in comparison. However the colors are vibrant and the thread is strong. At literally a fraction of the cost, this thread would be a good choice for those looking to cut their crafting cost. I quilted a small patch of material with le paon and washed it with detergent on warm then dried it on high for 40 minutes. I did not notice any significant shrinkage and the thread was color fast.
