While I'm not a noob in getting my hands dirty, I'd never replaced a U-Joint or ball joint on a vehicle before. This press kit REALLY helped me learn and I'm satisfied with the set's quality and versatility. On my '03 F150 4wd, I've used this press set for both the U-Joints on my rear drive shaft, as well as installing a new ball joint on the front steering. The product is sturdy and has plenty of optional spacers to do the job well and quickly. Along with a joint/pitman separator kit, I'm set for quite a few years of work with these tools.

This inexpensive press kit works great. I've only used it to press u-joints out/in, but it worked flawlessly. It took about 20 seconds to press out a u-joints with this tool. If your u-joints have a zerk fitting on the end of one of the caps (like my tacoma) rather than in the body of the joint, you will have to use an old socket (or similar tool) with this press to press that side of the joint back in. If you don't have zerk fittings in the caps, pressing back together will be straight forward with this press. Ball joints should be straight forward. This is made in China, and so far, the quality is fine.

I read some of the other reviews and greased the threads right off the bat so there would be no problems with the threads. After that press worked great on the ball joints on my 2000 F250 and the ft 4 X 4 outer u-joints. I really put the press to the test and it took it and did a great job. Would recommend to others but grease the threads then go get-em.

Easy to use. Instructions weren't easy to decipher, but the Amazon page instructions plus the printed ones provided were enough to get the job done. I've used the kits that you borrow from the auto stores and they are way oversized. This one is compact and gets the job done fast. Once I figured out the tool, I had the lower ball joints out and replaced in about 20 minutes per side. Well made and sturdy materials in a nice hard shell plastic case. The price is absolutely unbeatable. I'd suggest this kit to anyone.

Im very pleased with my purchase. I used this to change my u joints in a 1983 gmc truck. My first impression when this came was how HEAVY it was. The unit is sturdy and the threaded part came lightly oiled. I dont have an impact wrench so i used my ratchet and a 22mm socket. It was easy to remove and replace the u joints. It came with several accessories for other jobs. It was a good purchase and should last a long time. Reasonable price and didnt run the risk of damaging something by using the hammer method.

Used to change a Ujoint the day after I received it. I like using this better than my hydraulic press it's easy to do while laying the drive shaft on the bench

This worked perfect on my u-joints for my front Cherokee XJ. I haven't used on anything else yet. I applied a lot of force a couple times, because I had the end cap of the u-joint catch on the tool and the tool didn't come close to failing. I don't see the tool failing unless I do something stupid like not having things lined up right and applying tons (not pounds) of force..

Good quality only thing is it didn't come with the size I need to take off the ball joint. The receiving tube is way to big and the other is to small, it has the parts to install the ball joint but I cant take it off. I ended up ordering the master kit that comes with just the tubes. That way I have both kits. I own a 06 charger btw.

This press saved the day in that the amount of corrosion on the u-joints froze the pieces together so well that pounding just wasn't going to do it. If I didn't have this press as a backup I would be in a fine mess right now. Instead, job's done....I'm very happy with the result....I saved several hundred dollars and I feel a sense of accomplishment. I would recommend this press to anyone who's thinking of doing their own auto work. My motto is 'better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it'.

Fairly decent tool for the at home do-it-yourselfer. Unfortunately, if you don't have "above average" strength and you're working on an older vehicle, this may not work for you. This tool does not come with instructions so do your research. The quality of the tool however is GREAT! Well built, solid, good grade of metal. Not flimsy or difficult to manage. And it includes a "press plate" that allows you to install the ball joint WITH the grease fitting attached.
