Super handy and easy to use...
So far, I've flown my new Mavic Pro2 Zoom with the Skyreat for about 20 hours. This is an excellent addition to my flight kit. I always like to use the larger screen of my iPad for the ability to frame and focus shots, plus see all of the Mavic readouts around the image. Holding the iPad can be a challenge. I have this married with a nice hood, and a 1ft. cable with a right angle on the lightning end of the connector. I highly recommend the right angle plug with this setup. Otherwise, with a straight plug, your left hand will hit the cable and it is in the way going back down into the Skyreat. I see what other reporters have mentioned about the possibility of the big nylon nut that secures the spring loaded holder to the mount failing. I found a metal version of the same nut at a local hardware store and it is HUGE! I got one and am carrying it with me in case the nylon nut fails. I am hoping I don't have to go to the metal version, but I have a backup just in case. I was more worried about the lower part of the Skyreat wobbling. The metal plate that slides into the Mavic Controller (where you would normally slide your smartphone) fits snugly and solidly. With both hands on the controller, the entire rig has a very solid and stable feel. It should be noted that you can NOT see the readout of the controller with this unit in place. That's no big deal if you regularly use the Mavic controls from the screen only. If you are used to looking at the readout from the controller window itself, you will have to get used to the different display. I don't find it a problem since I normally run everything from the iPad touch screen. MAKE SURE you get the controller joysticks out of their storage slots before you put the Skyreat in place. I've done that a couple of times (excited to fly!) and it is a bit ungainly trying to juggle the iPad (with hood) and Skyreat unit while you are retrieving the joysticks and installing them. The Skyreat folds down nicely. Very clever stowing of the arms that swing up to hold the iPad. The whole thing slips right into my landing pad bag and adds neglible weight. Overall, a great addition to my Mavic Pro2 Zoom.

Works Perfectly, As Advertised
Best feature: It's compact and easy to store/transport. I use it with an iPad Mini 4 in an Otterbox Defender case. It holds the iPad firm and is well balanced. I also bought the RCstyle Lightning USB Cable and the PGYTECH L168 Monitor Hood. It's the perfect setup, all-around, IMHO. And if you wear a black tee shirt, the glare is reduced about as much as you can ask, short of shady tree or a CrystalSky monitor. (The Case is a Nanuk 920 and the skin is Solar Storm from DecalGirl.

Exceeds at its intended design. Just buy this one!
I got my cracked-glass iPad mini repaired to use with this. Perfect application! At first I thought this was part of a system, and that I was missing a part. Then I figured out the two arms with semi-spheres at the ends folded together and fit into the locking ring. I like the sturdy metal plate which fits snugly into the phone grips of the controller handles. The tablet clamping system is very firm; I had no fear of the tablet falling out. I clipped a lanyard into the hole of the plate to provide security. I also snaked a L-shaped Micro USB/Lightning cable through the holes where the semi-spheres nestle when not in use. This kept the cable out of the way. Of all the (endless) accessories I’ve purchased for my Mavic Pro, I like the quality, design and application impact the most with this Skytreat tablet holder.

I run it with an ipad pro 11" and thick rubber case.
Its solid. its cheap... what more can you ask for? I have tried a few different mounts to figure out whats the "best" one for me... this one so far is the best. Its base and stand are metal... (one of the biggest flaws for most is plastic stands!) The holder is plastic and the tightening ring is plastic. The reason I like it, is that you can tighten the ring on the metal and it wont be uncomfortable for your hand, wont need to be as tight to hold it in place and that makes it easy to use. Its worth it.

Well built product that works exceptionally well
This is a must have if you plan to use a tablet to fly your Mavic or Spark. This product is made really well, comes apart easily and folds (almost) flat for easy storage. I use it with the smaller iPad Pro and it fits in the holder very snugly. I’ve never had any issues whatsoever with my iPad staying in place or moving while using it. The Mavic controller with this holder, the iPad Pro and large sun shade is very manageable from a with perspective, and even though it has a hole to attach a lanyard, I can’t see anyone really needing to do that because of weight. I’ve seen some complaints about he plastic tensioning knob, but I can tell you it will not be a problem, all the parts and pieces seem to be made very well.

This is your mount! No need to spend $$$ on fancy alternative. Works FANTASTIC! Very pleased.
Bought this to use with my DJI Spark and it works great! I’m new to drones and saw so many options out there it was confusing. Was considering a popular mount that costs 3-4 times as much as this one. I’m sure there are some slight advantages to the more expensive alternative. The base on this model does have a very slight wiggle where it joins the remote, but not problematic in any way. This one isn’t as pretty, but it’s also far less expensive. I’ve been really happy with this mount and am glad I selected it. I’ve been using it with an iPad Pro 9.7” and it’s so much nicer than using it with the iphone. I also bought an OTG cable to direct connect the ipad to the remote, which I like as well.

It is what I would have built if I were that smart!!!
The best part of a DJI Mavic is it's portability, the worst part of a Mavic is trying to fly off of a phone screen. I fly commercially and being able to see detail in my imagery is important, so I fly with an iPad AIR 2. This unit allows me to mount the Air 2 easily and securely to my controller. Yes some complain that doing that with ANY mount obscures your vision of your controller, but anything on the controller is also mirrored on the screen as a touch button, so I will take that minor issue for the ability to critically review my shots. This unit folds down to virtually nothing, but is made of durable aluminum, with an excellent fit and finish. I own two, one for work and one for my personal Mavic, and I have spec'd it into every system I build for our agency. Thank you to the designers and builders of this product, it has replaced the bulky plastic one I used to have to use with a sleek flat bar that turns into a solid adjustable iPad mount. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

This thing is AWESOME. It significantly increased the fun of flying my drone because I now get to use my bigger Samsung Galaxy Tab for the screen. When flying before I used my Google Pixel phone. I would have to take the cover off, run the USB cable through the hole, and than jam my phone in the holder. The construction on this device is fantastic. Solid metal base with a hard plastic holder. The spring that holds the tablet in place is solid, not going to wear out anytime soon. Really secures my tablet well. I love that the screen is on a ball joint so I can move it around to get a better angle on the screen. Plenty of room for the controls. I love when I buy something that actually works well. Thank you for a fine product. You've made my flying time much better

Folds into smaller form and gets stored in its own bag.
I like it because you can fold it to store it in a bag. It comes with its own storage bag. I wish it was made of plastic because the body itself is metal that it can mar the RC's plastic. It fits iPad Mini 4 with Otterbox case very well horizontally. I mount it differently as shown in the advert. I have the stalk towards the pilot and I have good view of the RC screen and the iPad. I wish it was made of plastic but I guess it is difficult to maintain durable folding mechanism. Recommend it!
