It’s the official Nintendo charger. Your safe to buy lol
It’s the official Nintendo charger for a really good price. The package was official and hard as hell to open lol. But it’s the real deal from Nintendo so don’t worry go for it. I was scared thinking it was a knock off because the price was so cheap. Please hit the helpful button so I’ll know to leave more reviews. Thanks guys!

It works. No issues so far.
Pros. It's official. It stays cool to the touch. Even when plugged in and you are doing stuff Since it's a USB type C cable it doesn't matter if the plug is upside down or not. Cons. I just wish the walwart and cord were detachable. The cord is a little short for my taste. It's like 4 feet. I wish it was 10 feet.

Works great! great for more docking options!
This AC adaptor works just as expected. the biggest thing is that it allows the switch to enter tv mode. this is great if you want to bring your switch over to someone else's house and don't want to play on the tiny screen. That was what i used it for but i see opportunity in using it to set up a second dock in another room with a different tv. Nintendo quality (really high). Overall nothing bad and it works great!

Mostly use to keep my Pro Controller charged up while playing
Great AC Adapter for the Switch Console and to charge the Switch Pro Controller. There have been times when I needed to charge the Pro Controller to keep playing. The USB-C charging cable that comes with the controller and attaches to the Switch console works but is kinda short. I considered purchasing a longer USB-C to USB-C cable, but I was worried about having a wire running across the floor. This AC Adapter is Model HAC-002 which is Nintendo's recommended Adapter for the Switch Console and the Pro Controller. When needed I simply plug this in next to my couch and do not have to worry about running the controller to zero or anyone kicking on the wire and knocking over the console. I also can use this as an additional power source when the console is undocked. This adapter gives me welcome flexibility.

I also purchased a portable dock and this to go along so I can play my Switch on the TV at other family or friends houses and it works great. You know exactly what you are getting when ...
I purchased the official Nintendo Switch charger because I didn't want any third party charger to fry or undercharge my Switch. I also purchased a portable dock and this to go along so I can play my Switch on the TV at other family or friends houses and it works great. You know exactly what you are getting when you buy this product and it shouldn't every disappoint you.

This is a great charger!
This is, as-advertised, an official Nintendo branded Switch charger. It works as expected. I wanted to write this review because a lot of sellers on Amazon will advertise a product as if it's the official Nintendo version, and then send you a generic, third-party version instead. Rest assured, this is the actual Nintendo branded charger.

Better than a USB-C to USB-A cable. Safer, too - in some cases.
Read up on USB-C cables and you'll find that powering devices through them can be a tricky thing. It's not like the original USB where everything seemed to be universally adaptable, and if you could plug it in to the port, everything would be fine. Apparently, there's a lot of manufacturers who are making bad USB-C cables and some folks have even fried USB-C chargeable laptops using substandard USB-C cables and adapters. I tried a set of 5-star reviewed cables and found my switch to be running out of batteries even while plugged in. Then I started reading about how many bad usb-c cables there are out there and I realized this adapter probably wasn't a bad impulse buy. So, I got it back out and started using it again. Sure it sucks I can't just plug a simple USB-C to USB-A cable into any usb-AC adapter and run my switch on that, or plug the same cable into my laptop while I'm on a plane. However, I don't want to damage my devices, so until I hear of updated standards, or something better, I'll stick with this. This AC adapter has not failed once since I got the switch, and I've used it a lot. So, my experience coupled with the info that's out there compels me to stick to this adapter, despite inconveniences. Another thing of note: if you aren't doing it already, you should start filtering amazon reviews with The Review Index. There's a plug-in for chrome, or you can paste in the url to the product on their site. This helps you to filter out unverified purchases, and to see if a high percentage of unverified purchase reviews are 5-star and written by review spammers: folks who have hundreds or thousands of reviews, are paid to write dozens of 5-star reviews DAILY and their accounts typically show an average review of 4.75 stars or greater. That's how I found out that most of the USB-C to USB-A cables on amazon are actually bad products, made to look good by hundred of fake 5-star reviews. Amazon is awesome - still my favorite place to shop, but it's better with The Review Index.

A must have accessory
If you want to play as hastle free as possible I recommend two of these (one that comes with the Switch and an additional one). My Switch is docked at the TV and my other adapter is as mobile as the switch. Makes everything just a little bit easier to go between mobile and tv while charging. I recommend this and the Pro controller as my two must have accessories

Extra official charger
Charges the switch, 5v 1.5a / 15v 2.6a output. It's not as small as some cell phone wall chargers but not too big. It's too wide to fit inside some of the switch carrying cases. It's smaller then a post it note. I found this official charger can charge the battery up while playing a game like zelda at the same time. Some 3rd party ones cannot. An extra is useful for portability so you don't have to unplug your original one from the dock.
