This was easy to handle in a small space. Handle was just long enough to get leverage and still short enough to use in my driveway under the truck. Heated up and then hammered my way through the suspension on my truck. Helped me replace the rusted and corroded parts on my truck. Deadblow was not enough to separate all of them.

It's great. I'm not a blacksmith but it demolishes things, adjusts bad carpentry, and pounds bent metal flat again with ease. I really like it for pounding giant tent stakes or 12" spikes through wood. Plus it gives you a manly forearm.

It is a solid hammer. Not too heavy for a 60 yo with 'carpenter's elbow' but still heavy enough to make the work quick. The handle gives a good grip and I've had no vibration fatigue. Good replacement for my 60+ year old cross-peen I left on a mountain.

Great first blacksmithing hammer I wish it had a wooden handle as this one tends to melt when you drop hot steel on it but I find it very comfortable. I did have to dress the face and round the peen a little but I think that is expected of any hammer in this price range

This hammer is great, I have had it for a little less than a year and have had no problems. It is the favorite hammer in my blacksmith shop. The only thing you must do to this hammer is to dress the hammer-head face. You do this by using a file to take the crowned edges off the hammer face to give it a slightly rounded head. (you half to do this to ALL hammers you buy for blacksmithing)

great hammer. Durable shock absorbing handle. Heads bashes shut two ways. Yeah. Like the price for upstanding quality tool that will prolly outlast me.

I ordered this as a gift for my Dad, who has recently got into blacksmithing. He says it's easy on his arm, durable, and has a good grip.

what can I say it's a hammer firm grip. I use it for blacksmithing when I need a little heft. Has held up great. to all the beatings.

Awesome in my hand! This is a well made hammer. Eastwings are made to last forever!

Well balanced and solid. I didn't have to reface it and it strikes true!
