The magnetic scraper that I'd gotten for a mixed fish/fire belly toad tank really wasn't getting the algae off the sides of the tank, leading me to look in to different scrapers. This seemed like a good choice since it used non-proprietary blades, and it definitely worked wonders at removing algae. I use a safety razor for shaving, so I've got hundreds of blades to spare.

I have had a few blade scrapers and they could not get the algae fully off the glass, leaving spots untouched. I bought this based on reviews and sure enough it took care of the algae with ease. Everything is easy to put together and use. The only down side would be that the main section that holds the blade is a bit long. if it was half the size and maybe came with two extenders then it would be better. That piece makes getting the side walls a bit harder.

I can’t believe I haven’t found this product until now. I used it to remove hard green algae spots that accumulated on my 60 gallon aquarium over the past couple years. I do water changes every 2 weeks and scrub down the entire tank with a scrub brush to remove basic soft algae, but the brush wouldn’t touch the hard algae at all. I ordered this scraper, used it immediately when it arrived and the hard algae spots scraped off effortlessly. My tank now looks brand new and the glass is crystal clear. Anyone with an aquarium should have this product!

I've used this tool a couple of times now cleaning the glass on my 125gal tank. Works very well. Just a bit of a learning curve to keep the blade flat and at the best angle for cleaning. Works way better than the Mag-Float I was using. No scrub, scrub, scrub. One or two passes and glass was spotless. The long handle made it very easy to get everywhere. I could even clean the back glass by reaching over the top of the tank. Couldn't do that before! Easy to install the blade, seems to be well made.

I purchased this to clean the algae from my glass aquarium that my magfloat scrubber was having trouble removing. This scraper worked great. The blades are thin however the clamp at the end holds them rigid and they scrape without flexing. They look like standard blades so I’m hopeful I’ll be able to get generic replacements if I need them. My 120 gallon tank is about 28” tall and this scraper just reaches the bottom. It’d be nice if this scraper were a few inches longer but I knew that before I bought it. If they had an extension that’d be nice. Overall a great scraper.

This is the best algae scraper I've found in years. Quality product. Though ir took awhile to get, the wait was worth it! It's heavy duty stainless steel that is machined expertly. With the ability to expand or shorten the length I can clean all my tanks from the 10 gallons to the 55's. I cannot say enough good about this tool. I've looked for something like this for 20 years.

This is a wonderful algae scraper. It uses standard razor blades that are easy to change when needed. The two screws hold the blade super steady without any wobbles. With the included extension it is easy to clean the inside of my 55 gallon tanks. The stainless steel is super ridge yet not bulky like a plastic cleaner would be, so it makes quick work cleaning 10 gallon tanks as well.

I have tried a variety of algae scrapers for my salt water reef aquarium with only varying degrees of success. After seeing the positive reviews of this item, I decided to give it a try. It really works nothing short of great. In a matter of a few minutes, I have all the algae removed from the glass of my Coralife Biocube aquarium. One reviewer mentioned to rinse it in water after use to prevent corrosion. That is a good idea. This is certainly quality constructed...worth every penny!

The angled head of this thing makes all the difference. I've used several varieties of bladed scrapers, the magnetic things that go on either side of the glass, scrubbers, pretty much everything I could think of. Bladed scrapers were better than others but this one has the angle and that is absolutely the key. This takes almost no effort, feels solid/durable and works so fast it's hard to describe. Uses standard, cheap, dual-edge blades that apparently haven't been redesigned in 50+ years so there are no proprietary blades to buy. A must-have.
