Expanded WiFi range
I have many brick walls where I live that greatly limit my wifi reception. I placed one of these at each perimeter of the wifi signal from my router and now I get excellent signals throughout my home. I just wish my iPhone automatically grabbed the strongest signal but sometimes it tends to "hold on" to a lesser signal and I have to change the wifi I want manually. That's not the fault of the extender though.

Great little extender
I bought this because we started streaming hulu netflix and prime in the bedroom but I could not pick up my 5g band in the bedroom it is upstairs in one corner of the house and my router is in the other corner down stairs in my office I picked this brand because it is the same as my router I tried the one button push setup did not work so I reset it and opened the Web gui thru the ip 5 minutes done I plugged it back in the game room upstairs and I now get 5 bars for my 5g bam has been working for 2 months and have not had to touch I have noticed 2 red drops for maybe 2 minutes total the only other thing is this devise is a dual and my router is a tri so I had to pick 2 of the bands works for me and cheaper than a mesh router

Easy install and works well
Easy install and works well. Thinking of purchasing another to see if it would boost the signal enough to cover my workshop. Stay tuned.

legit.
We've tried a number of different repeaters to extend the 5GhZ ac signal from our Asus RT-AC68U, but this is legit. We've got link speeds of 600 Mpbs through this extender and it's located about 35 feet away from our router, passing through several walls.

works very well
works very well. No drops. It easy to setup. I have been using it for about 6 months almost continuously with no problems. I use it by connecting it wirelessly to my router. All my devices, PC, droid, Ipad, and Iphones all connect to it using wifi. I get 13 Meg download speed off the router and the same from this device. One night I stayed in Jackpot Nv. I used this device to connect to the wifi in the cassino across the street and was able to stream netflix.

Internet is now usable in the detached garage 150 feet from the house
Followed the "quick setup using your web browser" instructions in the box and was up and running in 5 minutes. I used different SSIDs for the extender network. I get 60Mb/s download when the extender is right next to the router (via either the router direct or thru the extender); after moving the extender outside to an outlet under a covered patio (about 75 feet from the router), standing next to the extender, still get 60Mb/s from the router and only 20Mb/s from the repeater. BUT! leaving the extender in the patio and moving to the detached garage about another 75 feet further away from the house, get 12Mb/s from the extender but only a very flaky 3Mb/s directly from the router! As a test I tried streaming some video thru the xbox in the detached garage and it was perfectly smooth. We used to have to keep the xbox on a ladder in front of a window, but now it can be on the tv console table about 18in off the floor. The xbox did alert that the connection might not be suitable for live gaming, and suggested opening uPnP port number blahblahblah on my router, which I will investigate further if my teenagers complain. :-) In summary, it's a huge success!

Highly Recommend, wish I had done it sooner.
Exactly what I needed. Modem and router are in one corner of the house, first floor. My home office is in the opposite corner, second floor. Download speeds over wifi are 50-55 Mbps near the router but only 7-10 Mbps in the office. I plugged the unit into an outlet on the first floor, below my office, and now get 30-40 Mbps in the office. The difference is amazing. It was easy to set up, took me two minutes tops. Absolutely a great investment if you have weak corners of your home.

Good
Great WIFI repeater/extender. I use it as an access point for a desktop computer that is one floor down from the router. Very functional UI, can even turn off extender functions to 2.4 and/or 5 ghz bands, and even rename extended wifi signals to a different SSID. Also good price and value.

Excellent!
We've had this extender for about 3 weeks now. We wanted to get a stronger signal from the router in my office to the great room and that side of the house. The signal has about 85 feet to travel going outside across the deck and back in again, going through several walls in the process. Before installing the extender in the great room, the strength of the signal from the router was very weak, -60 dBm (2.4g) and -67 dBm (5g); the speed of the signal was 21.5 mbps down and 6.6 mbps up (2.4g) and 40.4 mbps down and 4.96 mbps up (5g). With the extender, the strength of the signal has improved to -30 (2.4g) and -33 (5g), extremely strong, and the speed is consistently around 31 mbps down and 24.4 mbps up (2.4g) and 80 mbps both up and down (5g). A huge gain for the signal in both strength and speed for that side of the house! The signal and speeds from the extender for both bands are very stable. We're very pleased with this unit and have ordered another. One point I might add is that all the pictures show the 2 antennae with both straight up. We get the best performance when we have one at about 45 degrees and the other about 90 degrees, so don't hesitate to move those and try different angles.
