The size is about a half smaller than your regular takeout box. As in the pictures, you can put about 4 large eggs/ 4-5 baby yams/ one medium Apple (sliced) in the box. I am on a diet plan. This helped me to prepare variety of food in a small portion for 2-3 days. It's well made and stacked well in the refrigerator. For one regular adult meal, I would say the 2.5 lb one might be more sufficient.

Great buy, I would buy a bigger size though

We purchased these for Thanksgiving dinner for everyone to use as take home containers. Everyone thought they were cute, appropriate, and a smart idea. Next time we will read the sizing better because these are basically for one serving. So if anyone wanted to bring more food home, they'd have to use more than one. So good thing we bought plenty enough. I would totally buy again, but a different size.

Not mini loaf pans but better!

These were actually not what I thought I was getting. They look like a mini loaf pan in the picture, but I actually like these better. The tops aren't so high and are much sturdier than others I've purchased. Next year I will order these exclusively when I get ready to do my holiday baking!

Perfect size for freezing individual servings

I bought to meal prep individual servings for my mother to freeze. I debated on the plastic lids, but it’s working out fine. My lasagna recipe made 12 pans and a box cake will fill 5-6 pans nicely (and the lid doesn’t crush the frosting). I’m happy..mom’s happy...win-win!!

Perfect!

I purchased these to make individual loaves to pass out for Christmas. I was concerned that they might arrive crushed since they were only aluminum, but they arrived in perfect condition! I purchased the 1-lb size with clear lids. The pans/lids are the perfect thickness and are even sturdy enough to stack without fear of crushing or collapsing. I have always used zip locs to share food left after a party. This is a much better way to do it. Mess free way for sharing food with neighbors. good size and transparent plastic lids. Like these boxes.
