High quality product for an avid paddler.

I purchased this rack for my kayak. The ample hardware supplied was of high quality. I found the installation to be quite understandable and the pictures were helpful. Finding the product to be very sturdy I wanted to load up my boat and head to the ocean; after a 20 min. ride, some at higher speed, I found no reason to stop and tighten thing down, as I have had to do even with Thule products. I strongly recommend this high quality product!

Great Buy!!

Got these together pretty easy by myself & I’m a woman did use 1/2” wrench instead of the one provided but only because it was easier. Did have a little trouble trying to get them on by myself I’m a little to short & needed a 3rd hand. Have not put my kayak on or used the ratchet straps that are included but cannot wait for warmer weather so I can go on some adventures!!

Great Sturdy Rack

Product is sturdy and is easy to assemble and install. The crossbar on my Xterra is thick and I had to replace the middle bolts on the kayak rack with ones that were about an inch longer. After doing that, it installed perfectly.

Super easy to assemble!

I was worried about doing this myself, as some places say to have it professionally installed, but I had no problem following the directions and putting everything together. I like that I can even easily remove the rack after each use if I want to.

Inexpensive and did a remarkably good job holding a long kayajk firm for 2500 miles

I bought these to support transporting a 19 foot sea kayak over 2,500 miles. I knew already that at highway speeds the length of my kayak would cause it to move on or indeed move my foam blocks and a set of Thule racks. This was driving me nuts. These J bars did an excellent job keeping my kayak arrow straight on a bumpy ride of over 2,500 miles. The length of my kayak again caused issues initially but by tying the J bars firmly to the jeeps roofrack the end result was bomber. These are good when loading a kayak onto aerobars or flatter bars....but on the old Yakima round bars they flop over predictably. Easy to but on, easy to remove, easy to adjust on the road and easy to assemble in the first place. Excellent excellent value!!

Solid at high speeds

Pretty solid product On my 2015 4Runner. Very stable even at speeds of 80 mph. Totally worth. Wish the bolts were shorter because the touch the roof of the car when the weight of the kayak is added and strapped down. I used some pencil eraser caps to keep from scratching.

Wonderful fit, very easy to put together, looks fantastic.

I wanted something that was affordable, something that was sturdy and something that looked like it was part of my vehicle. This rack is all of that and more. Not only is it great for my kayak but is also good for hauling limited amounts of lumber plus PVC pipe.

Well Made

I did have to return these. Only because my kayak is a beast and these were too small. They felt nice and sturdy, were fairly easy to mount and I install. I would not recommend them for a 12’ kayak that almost 80lbs.

Great for a large kayak.

I bought two sets of these and have used them for over a year. I left them on me car all through the summer last year with no noticeable rust or degradation of any of the components. They easily support the weight of a 16 ft. kayak. Nice product, good quality, and durable.

Work great

I’ve been using these now for several months to transport my kayak. No problems. Working as advertised. Gotta love a good purchasing experience.
