Quality!

We have used plastic hose splitters in the past and, being plastic they break. I started to look for a replacement and came across this machined brass splitter. The quality and finishing of this piece seems like it could last forever. Really good quality. In North East Ohio, we are experiencing cold sub freezing temperatures right now. Since this is used outside off our patio, I will wait for spring to install. I am sure that it will last a LONG time due to the quality of the product!

Great water splitter

Great water splitter. No leaks or drips and the faucet is on 24X7 so thats impressive. I hope the valve cock loses some of the stiffness without leaks but I rarely shut down one of the hoses so no big deal. I use this on a single hose nib by the well and run 150 feet of hose to through PVC to watering troughs in two pastures. works great since the troughs are activated by a float.

Reliable, no-leak splitter

These work great. I installed them and haven't had a single problem with them in the couple of months since. They haven't leaked a drop, unlike the best ones I could find at the local big orange box store. Very solid. Nice that a product just does what it's supposed to. The only slight negative (although I can't bring myself to remove a star for something so minor) is that the levers can be a little hard to turn if left unused for a while. Some lubrication might help that, though.

A Quality Splitter

This seems to be a high quality connector. The hose is easy to connect because I can turn the connector to attach the hose and no leaks occur. I had to use piers to turn the flow valves initially. They are still hard to turn but better now. The only thing they need is an essier shutoff for those of us who's hands are not as strong as when we were younger.

So far, so good. This Y-connector seems to made well. As others have said you need to loosen the stop cocks with pliers the first time you turn them.. After that they turn without a problem. My last several Y-connectors leaked within a year or two. I have using this for less than a month, so cannot yet vouch for its longevity. It's all metal, so I have high hopes.

Add a hose to your laundry room

It was exactly what I was hoping. I live in a condo with no hose supply to connect a hose to wash things off and to hose the area clean. I used this splitter to take make my cold water supply a hose connector. It was easy to do with no drips. I’m no iron man, but I was also pleased that I can easily turn the cutoffs by hand. Maybe they will get tougher with sitting around.

After searching locally for similar products and being disappointed in selection and quality I turned to Amazon and found the Morvat HD Brass Y garden hose splitter. After looking at several similar products locally and on Amazon I chose this specifically due to the ALL BRASS construction. Please take notice this is top tier product and other similar solutions ARE NOT all brass. Look at the screws that hold the valve knobs to the body and you will notice that they are chrome/ zinc/ cast etc. which means rust and deterioration quickly with this type of product. I am confident at the price you will not find a similar quality product. Don't make the mistake of trying to save $1-2 and having to buy another in a season or two. This is a long term ownership product. High quality ball valves. I would like to mention that the valves new are a little hard to turn at first until they are broken in. An additional feature is the included rubber O-rings for the hose ends hopefully ensuring a no leak connection for your existing hose. This works great as a splitter at the water source end or as a closure valve at the release end of the hose. I purchased this after working with a contractor who used this on the end of his hose giving you flexibility, can be dropped (tough but not recommended) on the ground, etc. When working with long hose lengths 50-100ft its a life saver not having to run back to the main valve to turn on/off. I would purchase another without thinking twice.

A Lifetime Valve

I waited a few weeks to see how this performs. It is very solid and even the balls valves are brass ! (most are plastic) It can turn without leaking or coming loose. The valves are positive stop without any drips. I tested it without any hose connected with full pressure overnight and a few times several hours, its flawless performance. The casting is thick, high quality and no typical flashing or overly rough spots. I was concerned the levers where small, but they turn more easily than similar plastic units that are twice as long. The quality and workmanship of this product should last a lifetime. I would call this a commercial quality valve, because its actually better than many on the market.

A "gotta have" at the camp ground

Only a 1/4 turn to On or Off. This is really nice to have at the campground. It provides an extra port and doesn't disrupt the camper supply. I have a garden hose with a nozzle on this 2nd hook up. Bonus!

Working great!

Working great. All brass. Seems well made and does not leak. Valve handles are a little hard to turn due to their length. I wanted short handles to reduce the chance of them breaking off. I would rather them be a little hard to turn than broken. I have ordered 2 more since the original purchase. I would have ordered more sooner but they were out of stock.
